ChromeFreak - you are fantastic! Your video on the M1 Carbine have been a huge help to me. I put my rifle back together thanks to your instructions. Really appreciate your talent and expertise. Great job!
Very useful video with well articulated instruction. Recommend stronger lighting on the interior of the trigger group to better understand what you are actually doing. Thanks very much for creating this instruction guide.
This was a huge help when I put my universal M1 carbine lower reciver together. I tore the lower reciver apart almost 2 years ago and couldn't get the trigger spring back in for the life of my so I gave up. But after see the floss trick really helped! Even though I own the Universial Arms verison, all the step and parts where the same. Great video thanks!!!
@bargunner18 You are welcome, that extractor can be a chore but with patience, it can be done. I am so happy to hear that the video helped you, its why I make them. Thanks again brother. : )
I did this JUST last night lol...and I was having the hardest time putting that trigger spring in...So I got the idea to pull it through and I used some dental floss to do it...24 hours later I came across your video and you are doing the exact same thing hahahaha that is very funny lol I was cracking up when I realized what you were doing lol, too bad I didnt see this video yesterday and start off trying to do it this way instead of wasting a good 40 minutes failing to do it with my fingers lol
You can use a BIC pen barrel as a trigger spring tool and insert the trigger spring from the back of the trigger housing after the trigger in in place.
@thebudgetarmory1 I am sorry it took so long but my computer went down and I had to buy a new one. I then had to re-upload editing software and had problems with that. I am still not up to par yet but I am working on it. Thanks and love your vids bro...
@cooldog60 I will be doing a revolver disassembly soon. I am working a ton of hours so I ask, please be patient. It will not be a Taurus but the set up is the same. Thanks.
thank you so much for these vids.i finally reassembled the housing in a timely manner an with out stress, thanks to you.now i dont need a vice or the trigger spring tool.thanks again.
Great video. Just got a complete Winchester trigger group and took it apart to see where the parts were marked. Everything went back together just fine.
@jmiles1960 I am the one that is appreciative. I thank you for watching and letting me know it helped you. That is that reason I make these videos and it means a lot to me to know it has helped. Thank You my friend.
I will do that if I can get a rifle in that someone needs it done on. I just do not have the time to do it for the sake of doing it. I wish I could bro..., I have a sheet I write things like this on and if it comes up when I am working my gunsmith job., I will film it. Thanks for the suggestion. it is appreciated. : )
@ptmccain I am very happy to hear that the video helped you. This is the whole reason I make these videos. I bought a new camera that has a light on it and it seems to have helped alot. Thanks for watching and for the suggestion, it is much appreciated. Thanks. : )
@kabsky61 Thats great. I appreciate you letting me know. That is very cool to have your Grandfathers rifle. I would keep that and keep passing it down in the family. Thanks.
@suddenlyill I think it would be great if you made a video showing how you did it and attach the video to this video via response. I am sure that it would help others with the same safety as yours. Thanks for letting me know about that. I can't stress enough on how cool a video would be though. : )
@glynamus lol, yes it can be tough. You just need too have some patience and once you do it, it will become easier to do, especially after you break it in real good. Thanks. : )
@suddenlyill Wow, you have a very special carbine. Its a very early version. The safety was one of the first upgrades done. They changed from the cross bolt push style safety to the lever style very early on. I have never had the pleasure of actually holding one with the push style safety. I can guess it should dis assembly probably about the same way but I can not be certain. I will check into that though. I will also see if any of my contacts has a early model like yours. Thanks, I will try.
Sir, trigger spring kicken my a##. Got string trick on my own but the best trick, as advised, was waiting until my "head was in it". Great set of videos. keep it up
@yellowcav2002 I appreciate hearing that this video helped you. That is why I make videos, it is a great feeling. I bet you cant wait to get out and put some rounds down range. Thanks again.
The push button safety was standard throughout WW2 and only very late carbines (1945) and particularly those send to repair facilities received the lever safetys. They are considered a very late war feature, not early. The reason so few push buttons are encountered now is huge numbers of carbines were retrofitted with the improved lever safety (and bayonet lugs, M2 mag catch, and adjustable sights) after the war during arsenal rebuilds.
@tigerm48 I really appreciate that, this is the reason I make these type of videos, to help good people. I am so happy to hear that it helped you. Thank you, I wish I could thank you more some how. lol. If you ever need any help or advice on the M1 Carbine, please let me know, I am very familiar with the firearm and have had years of experience playing with it. Thanks again. : )
@glynamus lol, I am very happy you figured it out. Everyone has their own way of doing things and as long as the end result is good, then its all good. lol. Thanks bro... : )

lol. Necessity is the mother of all invention. : ) I am happy you got through it. Thanks.
Do you have a video on how to replace a trigger spring with the GI trigger spring tool?
The push button safety was standard throughout WW2 and only very late carbines (1945) and particularly those send to repair facilities received the lever safetys.
