Congratulations on fruiting your seedless Emperors! Love seeing the progress of your lychee trees. I have an Emperor lychee tree too. But, never once ever had a seedless fruit before. Every now and then will get an aborted seed. I’m not even sure if mine is a real Emperor.

Thank you! I wasn’t impressed with the flavor on mine. I’m hoping future harvest will be better tasting. I’m not too familiar with this type of fruit tree so I’m not sure if that’s what they are supposed to taste like. From videos I’ve seen online I get the impression they should be better tasting. May I ask what the flavor is like on the one’s you’ve harvested off your trees…. Thank you for visiting!

Hello, the fruit on my Emperor is sweet with very light floral scent. For sure. It doesn’t have any garlic taste or aroma. The flesh is very meaty more firm compared to some other lychees. It’s my moms favorite. I noticed the flowers on your Emperor are very dense compared to mine. My tree was purchased off EBay so I’m not 100% sold that I have a real Emperor. Im happy with the tree regardless.

I got mine off an online nursery (Fastgrowingtrees.com). I’m fairly certain they are the Emperor variety. I saw the videos on your channel. Your trees are significantly bigger than my trees. Hopefully mine will do as well as yours. Maybe then the flavor will improve. Thank for the info, much appreciated.

      Questions:
Did you feed it? If so: what and how often?
Did you water it nearly to the point of drowning (as would be the case in its native monsoonal habitat)?
Did you water with tap or RODI, and did you adjust the water ph?
I hear tell they love humic acid, by the way, and apparently magnesium.
      Thank you

Hi Sir, thank you so much for sharing your video. Would you please help advise what fertilizer you used when they were in containers and in the ground? Thank you so much :)

I used the same fertilizer on these when they were in containers and when planted in the ground. The only difference is that I used smaller amounts when they were in containers. The fertilizer is Kellogg Fruit Tree Organic Plus 4-5-4. You should be able to find it at a big box store. Thanks again for watching!

I’m also in zone 10a, which online nursery did you get these trees from? I’m thinking of getting some. Thank you.

The lychee trees were purchased from an online nursery (fast-growing-trees.com). If you are by any chance in or near Vista, CA you might want to visit Exotica Rare Fruit Nursery. They have a very good selection of rare fruit trees. Best of luck shopping and thank you for visiting.

It was strange hear lychee described with a light garlic aftertaste. Hopefully the flavor will improve.

I’ve never tried them before so not sure what they are supposed to taste like. People I’ve talked that have tell me that is not how they are supposed to taste. Hopefully the flavor will improve. They both developed a good amount of blooms so I should get another try in a few months.
