This year my favorite was fade back and sides with about 2.5 inches on top and lowlights, which I would definitely advice if on the edge about getting highlights and want to have a test run first. The amount of compliments I got was unbelievable.

Hey Alex, I am an older “mature” gentleman with a lot of greys that turn white in summer...I go to a men’s salon for “grey camouflage” hair treatment, I felt I looked older than I feel and think so I went a bit darker (not platinum blonde tho...lol). Too old for the highlights but wanted to share for the 40 something crowd that feel younger. Thanks for your truth.

Interested in the clay. I know you've said in the past how much Moroccanoil texture clay was a personal fav and always went back to. It's the same for me. Don't know if you went for something similar here but just knowing that piques my interest. Recently got some highlights myself for the summer. I have black hair and went for sort of an ombre effect. It's black at the roots and blends into a dark caramel, then a lighter shade, then a honey brown, and finally a honey sand with a little white sand at the tips. Lovin' them. Of course, my pretty long right now and I would only suggest someone get something like this if it's the appropriate length. Too short and the gradient effect is too sudden and unnatural looking. If I had shorter I would've just stuck with the caramel and lighter shades of brown since those times are already apparent in my hair under appropriate lighting. Highlights just bring that out more. One more thing for those contemplating highlights: know about the difference in tones. There's a noticable difference between cool shades of blonde vs warmer shades. You can say: I want a very light blonde but if you don't specify the right tone it could end up not looking how you want. Look at a lot of photos and make comparisons with shades you find in nature (e.g., most honey is warm so if you say that expect to find some warmth in your browns).
I'm sure u will be fine. If those Koreans can pull off all sorts of bright colors, I'm sure highlights can't hurt. If u have some length to work with, then maybe u can try an ombre?

Well I've never found a barber/stylish who takes as much care as ones hair as this! Nor as good! Money helps, and not to mention, good warm weather to give off a good tan. I'm frigging pale white living in England!

My hair are extremely dry so I can't really use any hairdryer or anything like that, I still use coconut oil to nourish my hair and water off course to hydrate them.. still they are the same what should I do?
