Top to bottom for me: Reality, Nova, Helios, Absolute, Night Road, and Purple Hammer. Only taking 6, and it looks like getting the opportunity to open up the lanes allows the scores to jump.
Great to see you back doing what you love, Ben. My 6 are: Nova at 1500, Exotic Gem at box, Idol Cosmos at 2000, Absolute at 3000, and Purple Hammer. Best of luck at Nationals!
To me, the ruby is the best of both the iQ tour and the hustle wine. I love both of those pieces, but the fact that the ruby can do both made it an easy choice personally.
Howdy have an arsenal question for the TaT tournament in Vegas in July. Looks like pattern will be close to previous TaT phoenix patterns in the 39-41ft length and look like modified house shots possibly. 2h, 13mph at the pins, med rev. Currently have a phase 2, dv8 troublemaker (drilled slightly stronger than P2), phaze 5, hyroad-hybrid, hustle wine, pitch black, and spare. Getting a DNA this week. And I'm getting a new roto-grip ball there(not sure what it is yet) Not sure what 6 plus the spare to take.
Hey Ben! I like the The arsenal that you chose, The only one I will switch out would be the gem And replace it with the reality. Other than that I agree with your choices. Thanks.
They’re close for sure. I went with personal experience on that one as I love both pieces, but I have had better results with the Gem on the real hard stuff.
I will hopefully be going to Nationals next year. It didn't work out to happen this year. Could you do a lefty arsenal? It can be a different world on the left side. I am a MOTIV guy BTW.
Nova, IQ tour, fate, pitch black, dark code, and the no rules solid would be my 6. Last one is a little more personal but it's such a good ball for the fresh into transition
I'm gonna go out on a limb and bet the Sun Storm is the go to for 9 games. I wish that would have been a full release so badly. SPEC on that core has to be so good...
@Bowlers Paradise yeah that cover is awesome on that IQ core. Bringing it for when the lanes have mean transition and starts to get burnt. Like the IQ it's a good controlling find the pocket ball but smoother with the Spec cover.
Wow,,, I was just thinking about what my first ball would be.. it would be my White MIX.. and then you said it. Too funny. Question: Do you like the IQ Ruby over the Black Widow Hybrid 2.0?
If I were to do a blended arsenal, the BW 2.0 hybrid and the ruby fit very different spots. I don't think the consideration would be one over the other, rather there are other choices that would contest with them individually.
Newer to bowling here... about 2 months in but I'm a 2 hander throwing 14-17MPH with med/high rev rate. Looking to build a 3 ball arsenal. I was thinking about going strong asym(Reality, Gem, Super Nova), then into a slightly weaker ball (Phase 2, Fate, Zen), followed by a urethane option like a Pitch Black or possibly something like a Night Road. I already have a spare ball as well. Am I overlapping at all or does that arsenal make sense? Any recommendations for me if you had to build the ideal 3 ball arsenal? Thank you for the insight!
Exotic Gem Vs Absolute? I have a gem and like it, but would like a little sharper reaction off the dry for this slot in my back right above my iQ tour solid
so I can't figure out what ball I want for my last ball in my bag I got 1. pitch black 2. supernova 3. exotic gem 4.phaze 2 5. iq ruby if y'all have any suggesions what the last ball should be or if I should make any changes please let me know
Urethane spare ball not working very good this year. They don't all go straight. # MIX yes. (The Storm Booth can give you more Info on this) Urethane In general has not looked good and In doubles and singles too much surface Is looking like a nightmare. Weaker symm balls like the IQ Tour and Phaze II are looking pretty good and If you use an Assm It better be polished.
Top to bottom for me: Reality, Nova, Helios, Absolute, Night Road, and Purple Hammer. Only taking 6, and it looks like getting the opportunity to open up the lanes allows the scores to jump.
I’m assuming you kept the absolute shiny?
Great to see you back doing what you love, Ben. My 6 are: Nova at 1500, Exotic Gem at box, Idol Cosmos at 2000, Absolute at 3000, and Purple Hammer. Best of luck at Nationals!
Glad to be back!
I’m going in June with: Phaze 2, Absolute, Zen, Hustle PBR, Mix, and another ball TBD
Call me crazy, maybe an iQ tour solid?
@@bowlersparadise2255 I’m crazy for not having one! I like the idea though!
Ben, great video and looking forward to the others to come...
Curiosity, why the IQ Ruby vs the IQ Tour, for the bag?
To me, the ruby is the best of both the iQ tour and the hustle wine. I love both of those pieces, but the fact that the ruby can do both made it an easy choice personally.

Not sure what 6 plus the spare to take.
Phase 2 or troublemaker (whichever you like more), Hyroad, wine, pitch black, dna.
Hopefully i can go next year. My Arsenal would be Gem, Infinite Physix, IQ Tour Solid, Zen, IQ Tour Ruby, n Pitch Black
That would be a solid 6 for sure!

I like the lefty idea!
Will do u a PhazeII review it’s so old but still relevant and nobody has any quality reviews like u put put
I’ve considered doing a “legends” type video or series but there’s so much expense included it’s tough to justify.
@@bowlersparadise2255 understandable… again enjoy ur vids so we’ll put together and explained u deserve way more subs that’s for sure
We’ll get there. It’s always a slow burn building an audience.
Nova, IQ tour, fate, pitch black, dark code, and the no rules solid would be my 6. Last one is a little more personal but it's such a good ball for the fresh into transition
That OG No Rules was awesome!
Will you be doing a Brunswick / Motiv arsenal like this ? Sweet video!
Yup!
Physix , phaze 2 , zen ,phaze 5 . C4 ordnance and mix spare ball
The C4 almost came with me as well.
I go in May and still may make changes but right now I'm leaning on.
1) DNA 2) a pin down Reality Check 3) Sunstorm 4) Burner Pearl 5) Zen U 6) Mix
I'm gonna go out on a limb and bet the Sun Storm is the go to for 9 games. I wish that would have been a full release so badly. SPEC on that core has to be so good...

When they put that EXO cover from the DNA on a Phaze core… that ball will be untouchable…

Great video content. My 6 are spare ball, pin down dna, pin down tnt, pin up phase ii, pin up !Q tour and pin up UC3. Thoughts?
I think that should work just fine as long as you don’t have a TON of rev rate (like 450+)
Definitely not haha
For storm I'm bringing: IQ Ruby, Super Nova, Absolute, Pitch Black, Nova, (Spare ball from different company so it doesn't count here).
Do you know your rev rate roughly?
@@bowlersparadise2255 I do not. 2 handed righty, not nearly as much as the other 2 handers

Your strategy is a strong one. I think a Gem, Zen and Pitch Black arsenal is a great trio!
@@bowlersparadise2255 would you drill the Zen pin up or pin down for that spot? Thanks!
ICE, purple Hammer, UC3, Phase2, IQTour Solid, May take Crux Prime
I hope that iQ tour has some shine on it!
Exotic Gem Vs Absolute? I have a gem and like it, but would like a little sharper reaction off the dry for this slot in my back right above my iQ tour solid
If you don't have a shiny symmetrical to pair with the iQ tour, I agree. If you do, I vote exotic.
...oops 😊Pitch Black not purple hammer, and Phaze 3 at 3000 for burn.
Question are there any times you can pratice
Yes you can pay for a practice session
@@bowlersparadise2255 great do you have to arrange ahead this is my son's first time bowling nationals thank you
Yes you can find the reservations on bowl.com
For me I’m bringing reality rst x3 omega crux iq tour nano pearl drive and hy road max
Omega Crux and drive. Those are two I did expect to hear about! I love it.
so I can't figure out what ball I want for my last ball in my bag I got 1. pitch black 2. supernova 3. exotic gem 4.phaze 2 5. iq ruby if y'all have any suggesions what the last ball should be or if I should make any changes please let me know
Honestly, I’d just go with an iQ tour solid.
Sounds good. I have that ball too
Urethane isn’t Storm, Reality, Zen, IQ Tour Solid, Phaze V, Spare
That’s a pretty good 6 if you ask me
DNA, Infinite, Idol, Night Road, Pro Motion, plastic spare
Best of luck out there!
Reality, pin down nova, fate, eternity, promotion, pitch black. Hoping these create enough versatility
Mmm. That Pro Motion was my favorite SPEC piece but only because of the scent.
Storm products ball I'm bringing - Zen Master.
That one's been an unsung hero all year. It's too bad it just got no love. Great for sport conditions.
Doesn't look like urethane is in play from what the videos have looked like
That’s what I thought in 2021. Boy was I wrong.
@@bowlersparadise2255 haven't seen any videos of leaders throwing urethane. Big balls straighter. Mid and upper mid seem to be the choice so far
@bowlersparadise2255 haven't bowled since 2019. Never have taken urethane with me and for my last 8 opens I'm averaging 214
I am bringing a storm halo and storm iq nano
Good luck out there

Never add surface until you see the ball go down the lane in practice. You can't get lane shine back.
Not a fan of urethane at Nationals any year.
Why's that?
