FINALLY some appreciation for Hurricane. I thought i was crazy for loving that song so much. Hearing Hamilton's thought process before he writes the Reynold's pamphlet is so cool, and paired with the visuals it's really such an amazing musical number
@@qb1361 Yeah, like his reasoning is so emotional and deep (how everytime he's been in a pinch during his life, he wrote his way out) and it leads to such a dumb decision.
Really good song lyric and meaningfulness but Lin-Manuel Mirandas voice isn’t the greatest with a lot of the nasally ness just kind of throws it off slightly at times
i'm one of those people that loves helpless but its mostly because i pair it with satisfied since both songs talk about the same events but from different perspectives. i think both songs perfectly show the contrast between how eliza views hamilton vs how angelica views him.
i love how we can all agree that the room where it happens is the best song in the show. no arguments. the mystique, sinisterly mood. the beginning of burr’s villain arc. his anger. the tension, the storytelling, the visuals/visualization of it. the climax, the build ups. perfect. top best villain songs of all time.
OMG VIEWERS!!! I didn’t think people would watch this. Appreciate all of you and if you have any suggestions on other musicals or movies to watch or talk about LMK!!!
say no to this is so good idc. controversial but issa bop fr. the 90s rnb slow jam production and the uncomfy sexiness is 🤌🏽 . + maria/jasmine’s vocals are beautiful BEAUTIFUL. the whole song scratches my brain so good. p.s. “half-dressed, apologetic, a mess, she looked pathetic” is one of the most EVIL lines i’ve ever heard, me personally i would not take that, i would b bawling on tha spot 😭!
Me seeing the title of the video: oh what a cool idea, hamilton has very few songs that I don't like but I'll probably agree with the first song "Last place: Farmer refuted" Me: NOOOOOOO WHY? IT'S SO GOOD 😭
I don't have a favorite, but if I had to pick a top 3, it'd be the same as yours. This list is understandable and I get why the songs ranked where they did.
Tbh, I think your obedient servant should be higher because it truly shows how angry burr was and it shows how burr finally snapped at Hamilton and he didn’t wait for it anymore, I just think it’s a great song for burr. But what’s my opinion is my opinion and your opinion is yours.
I love every song of Hamilton. Exept Schuyler deafeated. My favourites is Non-stop, My shot, What did i miss, Say no to this, Your Obedient Servant, Reynolds Pamphlet, Room where it happens, it's Quiet Uptown, Guns and ships, Ten duel comendments, Helpless, Hurricane, Farmer Re.. (Sorry i forget, how write that word) Cabinet Battle 2, Aaron Burr sir, Satisfied, Right Hand man, all King George song, Alexander Hamilton, Burn... F_ck... They all my favourites!
Hurricane is hated on for no reason, personally it deserves its place on this list, maybe higher. ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS DEFINITELY DESERVED ONE THOUGH 🤭
Overall I agree with this list, of course there are parts that I disagree with but I appreciate the love for Hurricane as it’s in my top 10 but most people don’t like it

2:46 *MULLINS, REALLY MULLINSSS MY GUY, YOU HAVE NOT ONLY ALREADY PISSED OFF THE ENTIRE FANDOM BIT ALSO PISSED OFF EVERYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO SPELL MULAGAN*
Saw it live today in Pittsburgh! 47. That Would Be Enough (Boring and Lin’s voice is goofy here. Tyler Fauntleroy was better with this, but still boring) 46. Best of Wives and Best of Women (One of weakest, shortest songs both live and on Disney+) 45. Meet Me Inside (Just talking. The energy of this cast wasn’t there, not even “CALL ME SON ONE MORE TIME!”) 44. Schuyler Defeated (I like the vibes and if it were longer it would certainly be higher) 43. Lauren’s Interlude (Sandwiched between 2 of my favorites. Still a crime they excluded it from the album) 42. The Adams Administration (The audience was laughing so hard during “Sit down John…” and King George dancing which are the highlights) 41. Story of Tonight (Reprise)(Same with this one! Glad to see everyone dying as hard as I always do) 40. Farmer Refuted (I’m sorry but I love this song! It is very funny and ends great) 39. Cabinet Battle #2 (The King Louie joke is so peak and it saved the otherwise okay song) 38. Winter’s Ball (Watching it live made me realize that it’s good, but doesn’t stack up to others) 37. Stay Alive (Reprise)(The silence in the theatre was truly bone chilling) 36. What Comes Next? (Another one where every single person was laughing throughout. Funniest song in the show!) 35. History Has Its Eyes On You (Not one of my favorites, but I enjoyed it a lot more live with the motif of My Shot) 34. Blow Us All Away (The strip down to our socks part still has me laugh every single time) 33. Story of Tonight (Beautiful song! The guy I saw (Nathaniel Haydel) sounds just like Anthony Ramos, so his voice was incredible!) 32. I Know Him (Almost as funny as What Comes Next? Justin Matthew Sargent and Jonathan Groff absolutely slayed) 31. Aaron Burr, Sir (Just a transition song. A great, iconic transition song, but still. The freestyle tho🔥) 30. Ten Duel Commandments (With the context of The World Was Wide Enough, it is a lot better) 29. Hurricane (Trust me! You will appreciate this song more on the tour when Lin isn’t singing it lol. That transition into Reynolds Pamphlet too🔥) 28. We Know (Omg! It’s the meme song! So many iconic memes in this one lol) 27. Take A Break (It goes on for a little too long, but there is a whole to enjoy like Phillip’s rap) 26. Stay Alive (Charles Lee was even funnier in this live performance tbh. Loved it!) 25. Cabinet Battle #1 (The difference between this and #2 is insane! We should do debates like this lol) 24. Helpless (Yall glaze this song so much dude. And was even less fun live tbh. It’s good, but not great) 23. Reynolds Pamphlet (Jefferson’s little dance, Angelica’s part, King George dancing, “DAMN!” Super fun song!) 22. Washington On Your Side (There was a smile on my face pretty much the entire time) 21. My Shot (Iconic but gets a little repetitive and tiring over time. It’s still Hamilton’s quintessential song) 20. Burn (Eliza’s beautiful solo! In both versions I saw, Eliza’s voice was one of the best) 19. The Election of 1800 (Banger! Brings all the motifs together with a lot of laughs and twists) 18. Who Lives Who Dies Who Tells Your Story (A beautiful tribute to Hamilton that gets better the more you think) 17. The Schuyler Sisters (Fun and charming with some very fun choreography) 16. Right Hand Man (My dad’s favorite! He said “Awesome” and he was right! The booming cannons were awesome) 15. It’s Quiet Uptown (Almost had me crying live. The voices are beautiful and “forgiveness” was chilling) 14. Say No To This (Should not be this damn catchy! Say No To This is just vibes) 13. Alexander Hamilton (Had my extremely critical and unenthused parents hooked) 12. Guns and Ships (A major talking point of the show on the ride home) 11. Your Obedient Servant (The intro is one my favorites in the whole show! Underrated no matter what) 10. What’d I Miss (Hot take: Jared Howelton had more stage presence than Daveed Diggs as Jefferson) 9. One Last Time (One of my favorites to sing! I almost cried which I didn’t expect at all) 8. The World Was Wide Enough (Thematically one of the highlights of this sensational show!) 7. Yorktown (You are not prepared to see this live! Holy crap! Oh my god! This was insane! You can feel the blood, sweat, and tears) 6. You’ll Be Back (This was my mom’s favorite. Introduced King George perfectly and it’s funny too) 5. Wait For It (Burr is my favorite character! Certain parts in this song give me chills) 4. Satisfied (Whether on Apple Music/Spotify, Disney+, or live, everything, especially the ending riff raises the hair on your back) 3. Dear Theodosia (The sound of this song and the voices of the actors especially Burr (both Leslie and JJ Jeter)) 2. Non-Stop (This show was obviously unbelievable live! It’s truly a see it to believe it situation) 1. The Room Where It Happens (Jefferson messed up but idc. This show is peak Broadway. The tablecloth part had me stressing fr)
I personally would've put Say No To This way lower as it just makes me really uncomfortable and gets really personal for me so I try to avoid that when I'm listening to the soundtrack. BUT I agree with everything else. Though since you included Congratulations I would've included First Burn too, it's SO MUCH BETTER than Burn.
Thats a valid (and honestly pretty popular) opinion. I do regret not putting guns and ships higher but thats how i was feeling when i was making it. I appreciate the fact that you watched though and left a comment in general. So thank you!!!!
NOOOOO guns and ships should have been wayyyyy higher
My first comment!!! Yeah looking back at it and rewatching hamilton again your not wrong. I would definitely move it up 3 or 4 spots at least.
omfg your pfp is so good 😩
Agreed for me guns and ships is #1
Honestly, the most overrated song. It’s very good, but not great.
@@pushpopluvingllama5709 it my fave shut

JUSTICE FOR YORK TOWNNNNN 😭💔😔😢🥹
I love how he talks about how amazing Phillipa's voice is bc there's really nothing like it
Why does everyone place "Farmer Refuted" at last??? I love it.
It was the first song I heard of hamilton. I loved it. But I'm a music nerd enough to appreciate the counterpoint
Maybe I missing the magic but there just sooo many other good songs. None of the songs are bad though.
i love it too, definitely not top ten material but it does not deserve last
Whenever I watch Hamilton I always skip Farmer Refuted
@@grecia83 Yeah, I agree it's not one of the best, but it always gets last. XD
Wait For It is my favourite. Leslie Odom Jr nails it. His performance is absolutely breathtaking!

Im sorry i just didnt really like it and i didnt have much to say
I loved Farmer Refuted tho-
The only thing I would change is putting guns and ships one or two higher but anything after that I agree with 100%

It would be so cool if you ranked Falsettos! Its a story about a Jewish family during the HIV/AIDS epidemic and it’s very resonate?
Ima add it to the list. Someone suggested heathers too so i might do those after i finish my next vid.
