Ight, I’m here to tell ya’ll. use flat wood, don’t use round wood, it’s easier to make it look even with flat wood. Don’t do my mistake and use the poles from an old windbreak- I saw someone do wings with PVC pipe and thought it would be fine but nope.
ok so for those who wanna understand the idea of how the author of the video did the pulley thing, here it is you need a large wooden plank, a string and two pulleys (you can get that in pretty much any hardware store I think) make a hole on top of the large plank and screw the top part of the diamond into it (maybe you'll need a longer bolt) then screw in two pulley a lil lower and put the string through each make two holes in theover planks of the wing diamond and pull the string through them and fixate so they won't fall apart. other side of the string are gonna be for hands, so pretty much that's it, hope I helped someone:]
I feel like the shape and fold of the framework would be better if it were upside-down from the way you have it. Wings typically trail downward at the ends, folding with the point up like this ^ toward the middle, but yours seems upside down. I could be wrong though. So I think the top should be like this: /\ / \ / / Instead of how you have it, like this: \ \ / \ \/
I saw them and went back to the OG video like 3 times to see it b/c I was so confused why it looked off and was even considering changing my idea/design

I'm gunna be ryuk from death note for Halloween and it looks amazing so far! I'm going to make the string long and make something to tie it to on one of my ankles so it flaps as I walk.
just a tip? idk i never done this but you can tied them around your thighs or knees so it looks more natural, cause if you tie them to your ankles you would have to “hide” the strings all the way down and secure them :)
