Well Inazuma is in the middle of nowhere. They would have to use boats to even get to inazuma and when they get close enough Raiden will just slice them with musou no hitotachi + Raiden being at her strongest makes her insane threat. In sumaru Nahida will just put you into a time loop and find a way to stop the attack or she just simply deletes all your memories xD Natlan is nation of war where being fighter is biggest honor so most train their whole life's to getting stronger aka we have many insanely powerfull "humans" + dragon or saurians what ever they are Liyue is surrounded by mountains and its easily defendable + all the adepti etc + they have zhongli who was the strongest archon in archon war Mondstadt should be easy to take over but venti's real strenght and the strenght of knight of favonius is "kinda" mystery Ofc neuvillette being strong gives Fontaine lead but he is all about justice so he most likely wouldnt wanna go and kill innocent people. And its unlikely that he is strong enought to take on multiple archons and god even thought he is strong. Just like when they(dragon sovereigns) lost their powers the first time, they are strong but not unbeatable.

This seemed very illogical, honestly. The Fatui had no interest in Mondstadt at this point. And if they really wanted to take over the city and create a puppet government, they, with all their intelligence, should’ve known better than rely upon the hated and incompetent Lawrence clan. And also why is something so important was carried by some random Fatui dudes and not the Harbingers? At the end of the day, it was just not the best writing. Venti is mostly an absent God and most in Mondstat know him but don't know he's the anemo archon. But they still tride to overthrow the government. They wanted access to an embassy and a puppet government. So I felt it was relevant to the video
I agree with this tier list. Honestly I know Natlan is the nation of war but, that’s the problem. They’re most likely constantly at war and it’s most likely the least technically advanced nation. Far behind Mondstadt and Inazuma. I wouldn’t be shocked if they used sticks as weapons. I don’t think they’ll have any of the high intellect, high authority, or technology as Fontaine, Liyue, and Snezhnaya. And since they’re tribal they are most likely not a monolith. So all Natlanians see each other as different groups so that could cause more conflict in a Tevyat war vs other nations and themselves.
I think that Morax/Zhongli is still the strongest and thats why miss tsarisa had to get his gnosis through a contract for something we don't know yet and is involving us..... I was really excited for his interaction with Neuvilett in the Event but for some odd case he didn't want to meet him... regarding inazuma, we don't know how strong Raiden really is, she was able to fight for 500 years as Ei against the Raiden Shogun puppet without a break... , also regarding Yae Miko giving the gnosis to scara, she said why she should take a risk when asked... but it might have been just because her lazyness and not caring about the gnosis at all which would fit her character, she played it save. We don't know her true Power either. Shenhe is probably the strongest "normal" human in tevyat so far. Nahida has broken possibilitys through irminsul changing/manipulationg reality itself.... so thats also an Important factor in my opinion. So it's a pretty difficult i think

Matra are more like law enforcement active only in akademiya, instead of an actual military force. Apep would literally like nothing more than to see sumeru burnt to the ground. We don't know how irminsul works and nahida would never tamper with it unless she absolutely had to. And bringing up mechanics to a discussion of lore is kinda moot since we already ignoring so much just to have this conversation

Her principles are to not invade others minds and to not force people to do her bidding. Personally, I think if ever she were forced to fight, she’d be like Itachi, trapping people within their own minds before they can even touch her.

If anyone wants to add Apep to Sumeru, they should also add Istaroth to Mondstadt. (A very fair war) Imagine Mondstadt hoisted Celestia flag for all to see, because Istaroth is there.
Even if we did add Apep to Sumeru, Istaroth would not be added to Monstadt. If this hypothetical war were to happen, Apep might potentially join in, Istaroth doesn’t even exist in game and more than likely wouldn’t come back for an all out war.
Only way sumeru can actually do something here is if nahida just opens her domain and goes malevolent dreams on everyone, putting them in a samsara I don't even know if she can do that without a gnosis

And if we define "strong nation" by simply brute forces, that can never be measured as we never have any current references where nation go against nation for a war. i feel xiao gets so so massively underrated and compared to the likes of childe etc all the time while he probably in the contention of being stronger or on par than #1 fatui. "xiao dons the mask that set fear in gods and demons alike" during the archon war is such a testament to his power. he is not just an adepti like the rest of playable adeptis but also a yaksha named"guardian yaksha". we still haven't even seen xiao's true form and the way he can just teleport and change his form to whatever he likes. and we know he doesn't use his full power these days because of just how his karma accumulated is. and remember him just donning the mask would kill any mortal because of the collateral damage as shown in his story quest and we know from qiqi lore.

I know that you mentioned that they are hired mercs so not technically military, but they do carry out the functions of one cause they are described as a peace-keeping force so maybe its fair to consider them the nation's military?
I have to disagree with you on the second and third nations, Fontaine is better off being second rather than Liyue because Neuvi is stronger than the archons and Yakshas combined, especially with him now being a fully-fledged dragon hydro sovereign. Plus, Fontaine has advanced technology compared to the rest of the primitive nations (not including, Snezhnaya) so they would definitely be able to kick most of their asses. The fact that Snezhnaya is the most advanced nation next to Fonatine, it doesn't make sense to put Liyue as #2, I also don't think their military can compete with guns like stated before with the advanced machines. So, in conclusion Snezhnaya and Fontaine are the strongest compared to the rest of the nations.

tbf sumeru does fall short in military strength but their mercs are definitely stronger than any average soldier. My biggest take for sumeru is nahida having access to irminsul and being the god of wisdom who knows what tide changing things she can do alone with that. And now they have characters like wanderer cyno alhaitham. Especially alhaitham his intellect is something else.

Who's most powerful depends on how literally you take Neuvillette's character story. If you believe what it says is true then Fontaine is the most powerful nation, if not then its either Snezhnaya or Liyue.

Personally I like to believe it might mean both but more so will power than strength because to me, will power has more meaning within the context of the story than power but idk. However, it wouldn't be the first time we hear something talking about a dragons power. Azhdaha and Apep both indicate in their primes that they have world ending power on their primes, personally I think that's just their word though and given that they have been bested by gods before, it's like.. idk if that can be taken seriously. There's a book that talks about Dvalin which says that ancient elemental dragons had power to rival the old gods but that's also kinda vague and they were bested on pretty much every account so I don't think that is indicative of much there either.

@@vampiranya9939 I don't even think Azhdaha is a reincarnation. According to his own words, he was there long before mankind arrived on the scene and he never died. He was only sealed away. Azhdaha was suffering/dying from corruption caused by gods and humanity when he faced Zhongli who wields the geo authority. They fought to a stalemate, before Azhdaha allowed himself to be sealed to complete their contract. As powerful as dragons may be, they have been bested and outwitted by the gods and humanity at every turn so whatever the dragons boast, I think humanity is superior right now. Even Apep, (who I don't think is as strong as Neuvillette anymore, since she lacks her authority) speaks of having the power to destroy Teyvat at full power, yet when we found her, she was dying because she was outsmarted by a god and her own hubris, not for the first time.
I feel actual dread for the story if the Cryo Archon is actually the baddest bitch around, and if the upper Harbingers can so easily bully the Archons, given how they've kinda been winning the whole story thus far. They keep taking everybody's Gnosis, and it's like, what do we gotta do to actually stop them? Granted, I get why the first ones were taken, and the circumstances of the Archons losing their Gnosis thematically fits them as well, but it's kinda mind boggling how it seems like everyone is just kinda rolling over to them for unknown reasons. Do they not see that this is a problem? Is this even a problem? Is every badass in Teyvat just hoping that she manages to lose somehow, or is Tsaritza gonne turn out to be totally based and we're gonna be like, "Oh wow this is great actually. Good thing we let her take everyone's Gnoses." Or is it gonna be like by the time that happens, the MC is strong enough to fight her and win before she can like destroy the world or whatever?
Fact that all Archons are losing Genosis but still managing to command certain powers will be the key. Though right now no god one will be able to go against Neuvilitte but dendro dragon like beings are still there, if it wants it can save Sumeru anytime. And apart from military things like Akasha or Abyss power are still dangerous.
Akasha or more like Irminsul has more power if Tevyat is really connected to it. And Nahida and Dendro dragon surely can erase memories of people even with little powers. I believe Nahida is still around 3rd place in terms of power of Archons if not 1st. She is the only Archon who fought with us after Ei. And she can create things like Akasha even without Gnosis. The one who acts gentle are always the worst. If previous Dendro Archon can fight powers like Abyss on her own for years even without Gonsis, then Nahida would be the Archon who will be powerful even after losing Gnosis.
I feel like you should remake this after the 5.3 Archon Quest to include Natlan. Natlan, with the exception of Mavuika, doesn't really have exceptional fighters. Nothing in the story so far has convinced me that any of the six heroes are even lower harbinger level. But what Natlan has as an advantage compared to other nations is that their ENTIRE population is militarized for a conflict and knows their geography well.
Taking an objective assessment of the Abyss Order’s chances of pulling off their Revenge Plot on Teyvat are actually pretty low; they lack a critical element; a regenerating population that means that the whole time The Tsaritsa and her Fatui have been slowly but surely eliminating the Abyss Order’s ranks and there is less of them now than when the Abyss Order was founded centuries ago.

Snezhnaya is directly stated by Venti as the most powerful militarily. 1. They have superior military technology. It can only be rivalled by Fontaine, since all other nations have medieval armies with swords and spears. 2. Their army is also probably the biggest in terms of numbers. The Fatui soldiers are everywhere. 3. The Harbingers are all very powerful and useful in different spheres, from Pantalone building a strong economy to Dottore producing biological weapons if needed.
Doesn't matter, Sovereigns ain't sh¡t. Every dragon so far has been found hackered and tattered. When Apep was found she was almost dead, same with Azhdaha and Dvalin was also sick. These are entities that are supposed to have the power to rival the old gods. The only one that can talk is Neuvillette and that's because of Focalors. L dragons. 😈

Snezhnaya is the most powerful nation due to its advanced technology and military. However, is simply being powerful important for a nation? I don't think so, so I believe Mondstadt is the ideal nation. It is basically the Shire but with an actual military to keep the nobles in line. In addition, Mondstadt has Klee.

I think Fontaine and Liyue might be swapped, 500 years ago there military fleet was already powerful enough to defeat Elinas, without there Archon, Egeria was in Kaenria and there was no Nuevillette at this point, just humans with guns, tech, guts and a few oceanids and they managed to slam a dude of the same caliber as Durin, currently there military is even more powerful, with a lot more models of combat meks, gravity controlling bs and Rizzly's space ship.

That's the funny thing about kinetic weapons. Literally the only way they could stop it is if they blew a similiar sized object at the same or greater speed at it. And that's presuming they could track it. Even we don't have the technology to reliably track and destroy such fast moving objects. Have you ever heard about the Rods from God project? Look it up, it's very fascinating, and a similar principle applies there.
Liyue had superpowerful HUMANS before the Visions even existed thanks to the art of sigils Rex lapis casted for them... The other nations might have "technology" Liyue has Adepti who perform some of the most ancient rites and magic, so it's up to you to scale, who would win, magic vs science ?
Mondstadt is weakened because of the expedition and tgeir Archon considers himself the weakest Liyue's milileths leave much to be desired, their Archon is retired and their adepti will probably only help in PROTECTING Liyue rather than go on an offense. Though the Jade Chamber does give an advantage Inazuma's Archon is a monster in battle and the nation's soldiers have been battle hardened by the Civil War so they have experience Sumeru's Archon doesn't wish to fight but is still strong and they do have a good military Fontaine has good technology and a Sovereign who might be stronger than the current Archons after regaining his power Snezhnaya has good technology as well and the Fatui skirmishers but they might be spread thin though the Harbringers can tup the scales in their favor Natlan is unknown

Did everybody forgot that 500 hundreds years ago fontaine used to have a gigantic ww2 like fleet of ships that solo'd elynas(basically godzilla) i think they had the time to rebuild their fleet. We've all learned from banbi that the natural counter to a deer is a shotgun and i think even the bird ladies won't last long against a few volley of canonfire, xianyun is temporary neuvillette is SUPREME the only adepti that could be dangerous is xiao but even if he's fast he isn't familiar to muskets, in fontaine archon quest we see clorinde dodge a bullet because she knows where the gardemek is gonna shoot and dodged before the gardemek fired same thing happened with wriothesley, if you don't know how to deal against someone with a gun you're gonna end up shot so xiao might have a bad time fighting against clorinde.

Natlan is nation of war where being fighter is biggest honor so most train their whole life's to getting stronger aka we have many insanely powerfull "humans" + dragon or saurians what ever they are
Liyue is surrounded by mountains and its easily defendable + all the adepti etc + they have zhongli who was the strongest archon in archon war
Mondstadt should be easy to take over but venti's real strenght and the strenght of knight of favonius is "kinda" mystery
Ofc neuvillette being strong gives Fontaine lead but he is all about justice so he most likely wouldnt wanna go and kill innocent people. And its unlikely that he is strong enought to take on multiple archons and god even thought he is strong. Just like when they(dragon sovereigns) lost their powers the first time, they are strong but not unbeatable.

I agree with this tier list. Honestly I know Natlan is the nation of war but, that’s the problem. They’re most likely constantly at war and it’s most likely the least technically advanced nation. Far behind Mondstadt and Inazuma. I wouldn’t be shocked if they used sticks as weapons. I don’t think they’ll have any of the high intellect, high authority, or technology as Fontaine, Liyue, and Snezhnaya. And since they’re tribal they are most likely not a monolith. So all Natlanians see each other as different groups so that could cause more conflict in a Tevyat war vs other nations and themselves.
I think that Morax/Zhongli is still the strongest and thats why miss tsarisa had to get his gnosis through a contract for something we don't know yet and is involving us..... I was really excited for his interaction with Neuvilett in the Event but for some odd case he didn't want to meet him... regarding inazuma, we don't know how strong Raiden really is, she was able to fight for 500 years as Ei against the Raiden Shogun puppet without a break... , also regarding Yae Miko giving the gnosis to scara, she said why she should take a risk when asked... but it might have been just because her lazyness and not caring about the gnosis at all which would fit her character, she played it save. We don't know her true Power either.
Shenhe is probably the strongest "normal" human in tevyat so far.

i feel xiao gets so so massively underrated and compared to the likes of childe etc all the time while he probably in the contention of being stronger or on par than #1 fatui. I have to disagree with you on the second and third nations, Fontaine is better off being second rather than Liyue because Neuvi is stronger than the archons and Yakshas combined, especially with him now being a fully-fledged dragon hydro sovereign. Plus, Fontaine has advanced technology compared to the rest of the primitive nations (not including, Snezhnaya) so they would definitely be able to kick most of their asses. The fact that Snezhnaya is the most advanced nation next to Fonatine, it doesn't make sense to put Liyue as #2, I also don't think their military can compete with guns like stated before with the advanced machines. So, in conclusion Snezhnaya and Fontaine are the strongest compared to the rest of the nations.

tbf sumeru does fall short in military strength but their mercs are definitely stronger than any average soldier. My biggest take for sumeru is nahida having access to irminsul and being the god of wisdom who knows what tide changing things she can do alone with that. Who's most powerful depends on how literally you take Neuvillette's character story. If you believe what it says is true then Fontaine is the most powerful nation, if not then its either Snezhnaya or Liyue.

Personally I like to believe it might mean both but more so will power than strength because to me, will power has more meaning within the context of the story than power but idk.
However, it wouldn't be the first time we hear something talking about a dragons power. Azhdaha and Apep both indicate in their primes that they have world ending power on their primes, personally I think that's just their word though and given that they have been bested by gods before, it's like.. idk if that can be taken seriously. There's a book that talks about Dvalin which says that ancient elemental dragons had power to rival the old gods but that's also kinda vague and they were bested on pretty much every account so I don't think that is indicative of much there either.

Azhdaha was suffering/dying from corruption caused by gods and humanity when he faced Zhongli who wields the geo authority. They fought to a stalemate, before Azhdaha allowed himself to be sealed to complete their contract.
As powerful as dragons may be, they have been bested and outwitted by the gods and humanity at every turn so whatever the dragons boast, I think humanity is superior right now.
Even Apep, (who I don't think is as strong as Neuvillette anymore, since she lacks her authority) speaks of having the power to destroy Teyvat at full power, yet when we found her, she was dying because she was outsmarted by a god and her own hubris, not for the first time.

Fact that all Archons are losing Genosis but still managing to command certain powers will be the key. Though right now no god one will be able to go against Neuvilitte but dendro dragon like beings are still there, if it wants it can save Sumeru anytime. And apart from military things like Akasha or Abyss power are still dangerous.
Akasha or more like Irminsul has more power if Tevyat is really connected to it. And Nahida and Dendro dragon surely can erase memories of people even with little powers. I believe Nahida is still around 3rd place in terms of power of Archons if not 1st. She is the only Archon who fought with us after Ei. And she can create things like Akasha even without Gnosis. The one who acts gentle are always the worst. If previous Dendro Archon can fight powers like Abyss on her own for years even without Gonsis, then Nahida would be the Archon who will be powerful even after losing Gnosis.

Natlan, with the exception of Mavuika, doesn't really have exceptional fighters. Nothing in the story so far has convinced me that any of the six heroes are even lower harbinger level. But what Natlan has as an advantage compared to other nations is that their ENTIRE population is militarized for a conflict and knows their geography well.

Taking an objective assessment of the Abyss Order’s chances of pulling off their Revenge Plot on Teyvat are actually pretty low; they lack a critical element; a regenerating population that means that the whole time The Tsaritsa and her Fatui have been slowly but surely eliminating the Abyss Order’s ranks and there is less of them now than when the Abyss Order was founded centuries ago.
They are cursed with immortality, it's not that easy to get rid of them for good.

1. They have superior military technology. It can only be rivalled by Fontaine, since all other nations have medieval armies with swords and spears.
2. Their army is also probably the biggest in terms of numbers. The Fatui soldiers are everywhere.
3. The Harbingers are all very powerful and useful in different spheres, from Pantalone building a strong economy to Dottore producing biological weapons if needed.
If sneznaya is ranked this high because captain then mondstat should be up there also cuz varka is on par with captain

Snezhnaya is the most powerful nation due to its advanced technology and military. However, is simply being powerful important for a nation? I don't think so, so I believe Mondstadt is the ideal nation. It is basically the Shire but with an actual military to keep the nobles in line. In addition, Mondstadt has Klee.

So if you had to fight for a gnosis, something you never used in your life. She doesn’t truly know the power of Scara and well

She’d be risking her health/life for a “useless” object

I think Fontaine and Liyue might be swapped, 500 years ago there military fleet was already powerful enough to defeat Elinas, without there Archon, Egeria was in Kaenria and there was no Nuevillette at this point, just humans with guns, tech, guts and a few oceanids and they managed to slam a dude of the same caliber as Durin, currently there military is even more powerful, with a lot more models of combat meks, gravity controlling bs and Rizzly's space ship.
Consider this though: Jade Chamber tactical nuke.

That's the funny thing about kinetic weapons. Literally the only way they could stop it is if they blew a similiar sized object at the same or greater speed at it. And that's presuming they could track it. Even we don't have the technology to reliably track and destroy such fast moving objects.

Mondstadt is weakened because of the expedition and tgeir Archon considers himself the weakest
Liyue's milileths leave much to be desired, their Archon is retired and their adepti will probably only help in PROTECTING Liyue rather than go on an offense. Though the Jade Chamber does give an advantage
Inazuma's Archon is a monster in battle and the nation's soldiers have been battle hardened by the Civil War so they have experience
Sumeru's Archon doesn't wish to fight but is still strong and they do have a good military
Fontaine has good technology and a Sovereign who might be stronger than the current Archons after regaining his power
Snezhnaya has good technology as well and the Fatui skirmishers but they might be spread thin though the Harbringers can tup the scales in their favor

If fontaine had to go to war against liuye fontaine would win without difficulty because, fontaine has GUNS and liuye major city is a port how are they gonna defend it when they're facing the nation that lives on and undewater.

We've all learned from banbi that the natural counter to a deer is a shotgun and i think even the bird ladies won't last long against a few volley of canonfire, xianyun is temporary neuvillette is SUPREME the only adepti that could be dangerous is xiao but even if he's fast he isn't familiar to muskets, in fontaine archon quest we see clorinde dodge a bullet because she knows where the gardemek is gonna shoot and dodged before the gardemek fired same thing happened with wriothesley, if you don't know how to deal against someone with a gun you're gonna end up shot so xiao might have a bad time fighting against clorinde.
