CSX trains were so colorful in this era. The older grey scheme, the new "Bright Future" scheme, the orange MOW scheme, blue boxcars and white hoppers. RailBox yellow mixed with CSX and GTW blue, NS/CR brown, CP red, BN green... wonderful!
This makes me smile this is a lot like how i want my setup to be, i plan on making my layout in Ohio in early to mid 1999. this video is what i needed for some reassurance!
19:45 The white csx coalporters look terrific. You forgot the big 3 rust circles on the bottom from torches heating up frozen coal in the wintertime. I remember the white cars came out in 1995 they looked pretty and white and 6mos later the big rust spots and just extremely dirty.
This actually makes me in idea for my Layout I might do in Ho scale with CSX The River Subdivision and I might add Southern tier line with NYS&W and Path lines like NJ transit Metro North Freight Trains for Cruid Oil services to power plants like CP Rail and Canadian National BNSF Burlington Northern Guilford Illinois Central Union Pacific Southern Pacific Herritage CSX Union Pacific Desert Victory storm 3593 Conrail and Norfolk Southern and Santa FE
Glad to see there’s at least one person besides me who actually paints those otherwise awful shiny metal wheels. Nothing worse than a superdetailed layout with sparkling nickle-silver wheels rolling underneath the train. I’ll never understand the laziness of that.
The load must've shifted in that NS boxcar in front of the yellow covered hopper. Great looking layout. Makes me jealous!!! Also, are your bridges free-lanced or prototypical?? I'm curious about the long steel trestle with "Western Carolina" on the side of it. Looks impressive.
CSX on the WSC. They have beautiful engines on a equally beautiful layout. Are you a member there or do you travel to show layouts? Thanks for taking us along. I liked the out takes. Lol.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I am indeed a member of the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders! I'm not traveling around to film layouts at the moment, but you never know.
It's about time someone did a good csx ho video. The time Era portrayed was good especially the intermodal. The coal train? Nah. Too many bnsf coalporters mixed in with csx coalporters.
Wow...just WOW...thank you!
Spectacular layout. Awesome Csx trains.
V ery nice layout and I like the narration it adds greatly to the action.

Need to add a TWF10 to the stack train.
I liked the graffiti on the cars
The hobo union called. They want to know where to setup the hobo camp..
Great video. Đó you put the caboose at the end of your freight trains?
