Wow the 1980s! What a decade! Those were the days huh! Glad to be a child in that er! Tv now just does not compare. The music that played when Pam found out about Bobby, was typical of this show and this era. Beautiful music and a beautiful lady.

Dallas casting was always very heavy handed on extras for the scenes filmed in public. Cliffs office building parking lot looked like people walking in to the Superbowl.

This was before BD Calhoun. There was no way of stopping Calhoun no matter what JR did. So JR saying that “ There is no way I’m going to let ‘em try again” was wrong as BD was able to do anything to JR and did succeed until Ray shot him dead.
I was actually glad to see Cliff, come ahead for once, as it was always him losing. It’s nice for JR to not succeed for once.
This was of course before BD Calhoun, when starting with that JR lost every deal afterwards mainly with Weststar. He even lost big to a small town hillbilly sheriff along with Sue Ellen mopping the floor with him foiling his takeover of Westar.
2:20 When I heard the eerie music and saw the look on Katherine's I said to my family in the room back then I'll bet Katherine is the shooter and I was right on however I didn't guess that Bobby was her target all along I had thought she had went there to kill JR after the last episode and shot Bobby by mistake as he 'd ruined any chance of her with Bobby.

JR was running roughshod over Cliff, financing the project, while also slowing down the progression, making sure Cliff didn't hit in time. In a previous scene, JR revealed he was the "other friendly banker", and that he'd bought the Kezie and Murphy tracts, and was on course to get Gold Canyon 340.
