Heck, in Columbia, MO I don’t think the majority of the town knows the word “yield”. Pretty pathetic, when we have tons of roundabouts for such a small town.
Roundabouts in Columbus OH are crazy and I-270 entrance ramps.
Most people don't realize the yield helps prevent blindside rear end collision.

I mean it's not even a bloody question. The cop had clearly already entered the roundabout and was facing the DC head-on. Unbelievable.
Most people don't realize yield means slow down for a potential stop.
As the people above stated, the dash cammer didn't yield, and the officer was already in the roundabout. if the DC was a couple second behind where he initially was, it would be an accident/applying the brakes hard.
This video reminded me of the time my husband ran a red light in front of a cop. My husband is a terrible driver. The one time he happens to be driving, we were in an argument. He's in the left turn lane at a red light stopped, but then proceeded to run it like it was a yellow yield. Needless to say, he gets pulled over and the cop comes up to him laughing. The cop says, "I can't wait to hear your excuse for that." My husband was like, "Sorry, I got nothing. Just wasn't paying attention. I'm a bonehead. " Cop was off duty and didn't give him a ticket.
Now I drive anywhere we go together. 😆

Too many people do not understand why it's not permitted to drive on the shoulder. 1. It's an unfair advantage i.e.; cheating. 2. The shoulder of the road is not paved to the sme standard as the main travel lanes. The pavement is not as thick and will soon break down and deteriorate.

My coworker actually witnessed the second incident. He is the second van to pull up to the light, and you can see our company logo. To be honest though, its about time one of us is in one of these vids, we drive a lot and the interstates near DC are full of idiots like these. Hell, if we put dashcams on our vans, we'd have a full video for you every week

You should - I also think the police should incentivise it - if submitting a dashcam leads to a prosecution and a fine, the cammer should get a small financial reward.
Then everyone would have dash cams and everyoen would be too afraid to drive stupidly for fear of being caught on camera.
I bought one recently even though in the UK we dont have as many dickhead drivers - mainly in the hope it will be of benefit in case I witness a crash.

@@rafezetter8003 "If submitting a dashcam leads to a prosecution and a fine...," if you're implying that people capture stuff the police don't catch and submit it as a civilian complaint--you should probably educated yourself on the rules of evidence as well as consider the fact that if a cop didn't witness the infraction then it more or less didn't happen.
For example, you could capture a video of a drunk driver hitting someone hit another driver head on and the drunk driver isn't caught for days--you can't lawfully prove they were drunk at the time of the accident. Law isn't that easy as, "he said, she said," that's hearsay.
It really blows my mind how many people fail to pull over TO THE RIGHT!!!! You can see plenty of cops trying to waive these idiots that way and they STILL go left!

@Jens Nobel Hi Jens, and thank you for your service as a first-responder. I must disagree with you on the harshness of the punishment, however. That driver had a neck. And mirrors. He could have LOOKED before moving. I would have assessed TWICE the fine. And if it had caused him to have to sell his car and wait 6 months before buying a new one, all the better. Maybe it should have been a fine and a 6 month suspension. Only stiff punishment will make people adopt safe behavior. Only removing the privilege will make people pay better attention.

These clips were excellent. I’m a 70 year old driver who had taken 5 Senior Citizen Driving courses between the ages of 55 and 70. I KNOW I have to be a careful driver because I have only one eye. Watching these remind me of what poor drivers do on the road and helps me be on the lookout for them! Thanks!
This video was a great reminder that there are many different types of polices vehicles, in fact, I've even seen a pick-up truck light up and go after a speeding car on a highway.

I’m in Canada and that still seems fast for a construction zone. That’s only 10 under the limit and where I live the speed goes down to 80km/h in construction zones with a 110km/h limit.

Holy crap! with some of those reactions, it sounds like they should be on meds.
Depending on where you live and if you're paying enough attention, it's easy to tell which police cars are unmarked. In the United States, the easiest way to tell is if there's a spotlight attached to the driver's side door. Other noticeable giveaways: more than one antenna on the trunk and/or roof, chrome caps on black rims, a bumper guard on the front, extra lights under the rear view/side mirrors and either side of the license plates. Common police car makes and models are the Ford Explorer, Ford Taurus, Ford Crown Victoria (a classic), Ford F-150, Dodge Charger, Chevy Silverado, Chevy Tahoe, and Chevy Cobalt (In NYC). Correct me if I'm wrong.

They probably don't bother because sometimes cops don't bother pulling them over. I've seen it many times. One of the cammers even made a comment about cops never pulling over people for violations. They're either lazy or just don't care.
Many years ago before the advent of the dashcam, I was driving up the see my parents with my husband. I wasn't paying attention and was going somewhat over the speed limit. Cop pulled up behind me and had his lights going. I was just about to pull over when this other guy came flying past us. Cop was like, "Big mistake dude, how stupid could you be?" and pulled around me and took off after the other car. Seriously, how stupid do you have to be to fly past a cop car with lights going? Maybe he thought he would be safe since the cop was already chasing me.

Brake light goes on, but car does not slow down. So he cuts across to not rear end the other cars.
And from that he tries to run, we can assume he knew about the bad brakes beforehand.

The driver clearly taped the breaks and then decided 'no, I dont want to wait' and started cutting across two lanes to then go straight, because you can see that he almost comes to a stop as he nearly strikes the cammer and *then* goes into the left turn lane and continues on.
Him slowly down is very obvious (you can see the front end dip as it quickly brakes) and then you can see as it jolts again when he accelerates after the cammer stops.
