I’ve been following along and watching back through the history of your restoration! I just finished the reupholstery of my Austin Healey Sprite Seats this weekend, including hammerforming the replacement metal for the rear of the seat bases, on my channel. The original rubber bases (waffle style) on mine were reused when I originally redid my seats in 1988, where the waffles were stuffed with rolled up foam, visible in the footage. I was having trouble finding new clips in a hurry, so ended up using a paper clip, pack of 50 stainless clips from any stationary store for a couple of bucks, so far they are looking to work well!
