Hi for your malian ancestry on 23 and me you can include the Senegambian percentage if you have for Mali also the Ghana Ivory Coast Sierra Leone. Those too apply to the Ancient Ghanian kingdoms/SonikeEmpire/ Malian Empire. I love all uf your videos I've tested with quite a few as well and love to watch others breakdowns . I'm of Jamaican Ancestry nice video!
I was thinking that it could’ve been something like that because the countries are so close. Thank you so much for that tip. After looking at the history of Mali, I can see how with kingdoms rising and falling. A lot of the DNA is pretty much closely linked. Thank you so much for your support, and I appreciate your kind words. This helps me to stay motivated to keep going! 🙏🏿
I just found out that im 32% Mali and it is the highest percentage from my DNA test. I used ancestry dna and it actually showed me the highest percentage with Mali comes from my actual home state of South Carolina, down to the exact lower region of South Carolina where im from😮 ( Orangeburg, SC). This is crazy findings and this is what led me to your channel. New Sub! 👍🏽 Do you recommend any other DNA tests to take?
Absolutely wonderful results! Lots of research and discovery ahead! I have several videos on my channel, but I recommend LivingDNA or YourDNA portal (all you have to do is upload your results).
Im obviously northwestern European im scottish welsh english and irish which makes me british nearly 100% But then i have this little 6% mali Craziest thing in the world.
@@KinfolkChattingwithEricka it's a mystery because I'm Scottish we migrated here to eastern Kentucky in Appalachian mountains from ulster Ireland we were forcibly migrated their under king James as servants to the crown for 90 years my people were extremely poor and didn't own slaves and were only able to come to America with wealthy nobles and land owners we had to go into a contract if indentured servitude for a number of years in some cases an entire generation. We came here in the late ,1700s from northern Ireland from the ulster plantations
@@CharlieBell-lr1zx That’s interesting. I have seen Ulster on my report before as well so that makes sense. Somewhere one of my Irish ancestors had a child or children with one of my African (or American) ancestors in the South. So in your case someone had African ancestry in your lineage. The amount that you present with is interestingly high. 🤔

I'm Mali too! DNA indeed exists. DNA answers questions I had about myself. An example would be, why I am so intelligent and strong.
They are definitely intelligent and strong! It’s in our genes fam! ✊🏿
