It’s 5:21am, I’ve been up since 2:00am. Can’t sleep thinking of all the problems I’ve been having lately. One thing after another. Being an adult is so hard. For those that still have parents alive. Love your parents. Tell them how much you love them and be grateful for all they do for you. You don’t know what you have till you lose it.
This may sound ridiculous, but I'm 63 and miss my parents tremendously, still. I lost my mom four years ago and still think of questions to ask her about family members, etc., then am shocked back to reality when I remember she's gone. I lost my dad 36 years ago and still find myself frustrated at things that I can't do and need his help with. I'm 63 and consider myself an orphan with no one to depend on, lean on, cry to. Sometimes I'm very fortunate to visit with them in my dreams.
@ this does not sound ridiculous. I don’t think a child could ever stop or lessen how much they miss their parents. I can’t imagine the feeling but it must be incredibly difficult. My mother lost her mother 2 years ago and she cries very often, she cries when she hears her moms favorite songs or songs that talk about losing someone or missing someone, she constantly wakes up with sorrow. She’s only dreamed of her mom twice in those two years and it gives her so much joy and comfort when it happens. I recommend you try transcendental meditation. I sometimes wonder if meditation is easier for older people since their heart is full of the good stuff and empty of the bad stuff. I send you a warm hug and lots of love. It’s ok to miss your mom and dad every day. How can you not miss the people that have loved you the most in this life.
I know that feeling, & you are not alone,I'm 59,the last of my family,I had a mom,dad,2 brothers,& a sister thier all gone,as well as grandparents,I know I should be counting my blessings,but I sometimes feel it's a curse😢,I can't figure out why me?? Out of all them why me??? I wish so much I talk to my brothers or my mom,I was 28 when she passed & I never got to say I love you,not once,in her short life,(she passed at 53))so I live with that regret every day😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
When I was a child, whenever it rained my mum would wake my brother, sister and me up (my dad worked night),turn off all the lights and turn the sofa to face the windows. We would all sit there with hot chocolate and listen to the storm while waiting to see the lightning, we lived on a hill and could see for miles. We all grew up to absolutely love thunderstorms and do similar things with our children. I found out recently that my mum hated them and was terrified but by waking us up and pretending she loved them she found she could cope.
Its 4 am I have an exam in 3 hours and 3 presentations at school. I woke up because of my anxiety, but i started listening to this and started raining, I started to relax and have confidence on what i have studied. Wish me luck and Thank you for reading this.

Water is life... one of the many forms, but the most intricate. It cleans the air, it washes away the old for the new to bring a new beginning, filled with renewed hope and life! It is our universal blood! Another gracious gift from God!
When I was a child, I used to dislike rainy days, but over time, I began to appreciate the gentleness of the rain and the peaceful atmosphere it brings. When I hear the sound of rain in such moments, I not only feel healed but also feel like it is keeping me alive.
I agree that the sound of rain should be relaxing. But I live in an area prone to flooding. Over the years I’ve lost a few things I’ll never be able to replace. So far me, the rain sound creates anxiety. But I do understand for most it helps to go to sleep. I’m glad it helps some.

man this one helped. ive been stuck thinking back to 2010 when my life was so much happier and this vid came up right on cue, and this comment actually made a noticeable improvement on my mood, thank you ♥️
When I was little. We used to live in a one bedroom apartment. There was not much place to play but there was this small window. It was blue in color and I could see the whole town from there ( or so I thought). Our bed was towards the window. Whenever it rained, I would lay down on the side of the bed where the window was and I’d just close my eyes and listen to the rain. I can still feel the wind and the rain on my face. It was such an escape for a 6 years old.
Whenever I see a scene like that I feel a strong urge to go and walk in it, or at the very least just sit or stand outside under shelter and soak it up. The smell, the sound, the atmosphere and melancholy - it's beautiful.

I've been listening to this music and waves for many nights to help me rest. I struggle to fall asleep because of pain. I know how you feel. 5 operations on my spine over the years & needing opiates to get pain levels down enough to just get the simplest of things done daily. Stay strong & try to keep moving ahead even if you can only get a simple thing done each day...
i love the rain and i’ll literally like not be able to sleep, twisting & turning and everything, i pull these up and listen to them, i’m dead asleep in a snap. idk what it is with the rain sounds video but it’s been helping me so much lately

I was told once that most rain videos actually just recorded frying chicken, or in one case, pissing. I don’t know if that’s true, but this is the one video that truly feels authentic to me. The sounds feel deeper, or perhaps richer, in a way that I can’t exactly describe.

We're supposed to get monsoons during a certain time of year but haven't seen THAT regularity in well past 25 yrs. We get some but it's pretty bad when the state one is born it has 5X. more rain than here. Nice to enjoy a video with real everything. Thank you-

I love thumder storms. Unfortunately my fur baby is terrified of them. And the one before him was as well. So i haven't been able to enjoy one for 13 years. I have to calm them. And their anxiety makes me anxious.

Sounds familiar, except we'd make fresh ice cream, sit on the porch and stare at this huge moon. It's been almost sixty years since that moon and the fireflies that lit up our yard. Nonetheless, moments like that with parents never leave a child.

I’ve always loved rain but my favorite part of rain is the sound of cars passing. I lived in a RV for the first 5 or so years of my life and rainy nights were always my favorite, I’ve struggled with insomnia, ever since I was little and found that counting the number of cars I heard made me fall asleep faster. I love the rain bc it reminds me of simpler times when it was just me my mom and our dog (my dad was deployed most of the time during that period so he wasn’t there often)
Haven't find anyone who doesn't love rain sounds... it's therapeutic to heal the mind and fully relax. We live in such stressful societies that don't give value to stillness nor inner peace. Doing things slowly and enjoying the moment is necessary to feel fulfilled with the small actions of the day.

Okay, here-s my quandary, I live in the bloody desert. We're supposed to get monsoons during a certain time of year but haven't seen THAT regularity in well past 25 yrs. We get some but it's pretty bad when the state one is born it has 5X. more rain than here. Nice to enjoy a video with real everything. Thank you-

I love thumder storms. Unfortunately my fur baby is terrified of them. And the one before him was as well. So i haven't been able to enjoy one for 13 years. I have to calm them. And their anxiety makes me anxious.

I’ve always loved rain but my favorite part of rain is the sound of cars passing. I lived in a RV for the first 5 or so years of my life and rainy nights were always my favorite, I’ve struggled with insomnia, ever since I was little and found that counting the number of cars I heard made me fall asleep faster. I love the rain bc it reminds me of simpler times when it was just me my mom and our dog (my dad was deployed most of the time during that period so he wasn’t there often)
Haven't find anyone who doesn't love rain sounds... it's therapeutic to heal the mind and fully relax. We live in such stressful societies that don't give value to stillness nor inner peace. Doing things slowly and enjoying the moment is necessary to feel fulfilled with the small actions of the day.
i live in a dorm with inconsiderate hallmates. this video has been the only thing helping me sleep during the noisy nights. thanks.
