That's the stuff horror films and nightmares are made from. Man the distortions and warps on the dogs face and people are terrifying. Human editors, filmmakers and real animals for the win.
This video is like a Dalmatian's spots - unique and slightly chaotic! 🐶🎥 AI might need a few more treats to get it right, but you've got a real knack for herding these digital pups into a film! Can't wait for the sequel where the Dalmatian conquers Italy and learns to cook pasta with AI assistance. 🍝🤖
Congrats on the video and especially on the final thoughts! I absolutely love following your content, not only because you introduce new tools for the editing workflow, but also because of the debates and discussions generated at the end of each video. I've been closely following all the debates about the AI tools available on the market and I'm still shaping my opinion on their use in our daily lives. I hope you keep up the great work and that more and more people are impacted by this discussion. Keep it up!
What I would love to see is how much it would have actually cost to produce this commercial. As in, hiring the dog, flying out to Burano, hiring a camera crew, drone operator, etc. While AI can't do this yet to where it looks totally seamless, you know it's a year out, two, at the most. The cost of fully producing an idea like this would be impossible for most clients, even ones with as large an ad budget as a dog food producer. While it's technically taking work away from people skilled at doing these jobs, the reality is that for most of these art/video professionals, this work was never going to come to them because it's just too expensive. If we're really going to quibble about jobs being taken away, I don't hear anyone fighting for the Steadicam operators or helicopter pilots who have lost unknown jobs to people who can just cheaply buy their own drone or handheld stabilizer. How many professional audio teams have lost work due to the great, inexpensive microphone solutions that used to take a whole crew? Or professional video colorists who have been replaced by DaVinci Resolve or Adobe? We GLADLY bring in any tool that allows us to not have to hire full crews or expensive specialists. AI is just the next iteration of that. The time to stand firm against the encroachment of technology was twenty years ago. It's too late now.
It seems the tools are slowly getting there to generate complete Ai content but I’d wager the lawyers are a few years away from sorting out the copyright issues of where the Ai sources the images for generation. Where I’m working at the moment major clients want nothing to do with Ai so it’s still a few years away. Great video though and certainly makes me curious to attempt my own Ai edit.
It's not there yet, but it will be. Not a matter of IF but WHEN. It will be as simple asking AI for a video about a certain story/product, in the style of a certain director, with a certain style of soundtrack, with a running time of x number of minutes, make the cast have the faces of my friends, etc. and it will be given. I'm not excited about this as many people are. I can't imagine how humanity benefits in a world where everything is readily available. Doing things and putting effort is essential to get joy and satisfaction out of things, THE PROCESS matters for human character and development. Having everything done for you in seconds will only lead to a cold, bland, meaningless life. Maybe that's the purpose, a digital marxist paradise, with UBI.
@@tvchris and Tony, I agree and appreciate your insights! I hope y'all saw my entire final important thoughts on where these tools should stay and be limited to -- I hope my video showed how much creative work is still involved, considering directing is VERY limited -- its just a concept!
I hope by the end of this video you get from me that these tools can be used, at best, for ideation. It is a test to what is involved and what might be helpful in a proof of concept. 👍 no one will go to ai generated film, but it can help with storyboarding initial ideas 🎉
@@supasportgh quite wrong. It will and has already replaced artists and as the models grow, this will only displace more. Artists will be devalued to the point that it is no longer worth it. Those who are celebrating it now are not looking at the big picture.
These tools are definitely the future because film making today is economically unfeasible. Everyone is dropping cable and going with the streaming subscriptions. The problem is with the exception of Netflix none of them are profitable. Same thing with the big movie studios. So the budgets have to get smaller. The unions know this as well. That’s a big part of the strikes recently. So yes there will be jobs lost. That happens when any type of automation happens. But I don’t think any group will cease to exist like audio effects people. There will just be less of them, working on more projects, more efficiently.
Wow this is really cool, i thought i was too busy to watch the whole video as it is 20 mins long but to my surprise i got sucked in all the way to the last second of the video. This is pretty impressive. As a beginner and new subscriber of your channel I am pretty sure i am gonna learn a lot from you. Keep up the good work Mam 👍🏻
Great video...really laughed at the beginning with the face deformation...oh, I caught a misspelled word (twice) or wait a minute...was that on purpose? For title impact?
I also hope it is clear in this video that it is obvious a lot of human instinct is even required just to create a proof of concept, it's not just text and done. ;)
I'd be curious to know how much time it took you to create all those prompts and look through each of the clips suggested by AI. Would I be correct in guessing it took many hours even before you got to actual editing in PP?
Hollyland Lark 2 is my backup in case something happens with RODE usb mic, at one point in this video the Lark 2 is used bc my Rode mic didnt record properly, can you guess where?
With generative ai becoming more and more "real" I thought I'd experiment to see how much you can actually create using AI tools. It's not as simple as one might think...
We only use a few tools like I show in this video, Ai Music Remix in Pr, Firecut ai for captions, and some rotobrushing rotoscope tools in Ae, I have human editors that I hire and we do nearly everything in Pr. I hope what is clear by the end of this video, you can see how much work is still needed to create a film. I list all my tools in the description box.
I normally set to frame (not scale) but in this case it still has black bars bc its not exactly 16:9, so you still need to scale using motion controls. I knew someone would comment on this. 😂😅
We said EDIT in the title, which we do in the video too, but you are right because it is more of Producing/creating a whole proof of concept in the end :) I said in the beginning to show how much is still involved, at best, proof of concept as we talk about in the video 😅 I guess that is the why ;)
I really am loving the new ai search in Musicbed! Really helps me find 'human' songs that sound like the songs we love 👍
The man with a balloon was a real airhead

Very valid points indeed! There are definitely two sides to this agrument and I find it a very interesting one. Thanks for sharing your insights! 👍

AI is quickly killing everything. Talent, reality, humanity. It cheapens EVERYTHING. We as creators should be condemning it, not promoting it.

AI is great no doubt, but it won't and can never replace real talents.
Your mindset is killing you. Thats it.
@@supasportgh Which the world will need less and less of. Every day people don’t go to master wood carvers for their utensils.

haha let's say it was for title impact! Or we can blame Ai ;)
Great Video as always! But in the end, I will take human editors and instincts! 🔥🔥🔥
At the end of the video, you'll see what I have to say about that too! Most definitely agreed.
I also hope it is clear in this video that it is obvious a lot of human instinct is even required just to create a proof of concept, it's not just text and done. ;)

I split it up into two afternoons, about 4 hours total of experimenting with different random outputs!
I see you are using a rode mic but also the holly land lark lavalier mic. Which is it?
Hollyland Lark 2 is my backup in case something happens with RODE usb mic, at one point in this video the Lark 2 is used bc my Rode mic didnt record properly, can you guess where?
For now we can use those AI tools as a "story boards" ! But sooner enough Sora will make it a final production i guess!
😮
this stuff is way over my head, but looks like fun.

11:35 just right click and "scale to frame"
