Thankyou your bird helped me lure back one of my greencheeks he would of been dead if it wasnt for your videos probably i kept this playlist on loop and he heard the sounds and came back thank you once again god bless you have a nice day
Most conures will be fine as a single bird, as long as they get a good amount of social interaction with you every day out of the cage and have plenty of toys/activities in their cage to keep them occupied the rest of the time. By nature, they are very social, so most birds would prefer another bird for company, but it's not necessary if they get enough human social interaction.
I had one ....These birds are extremely loud but fun to have, mine managed to say few words ..... I am not sure how old he was when I got mine but he only lived about 12 years with me
I'm listening to a flock of mitered conures swooping my house right now. They've been at it all morning! It's mango season, so they're excitedly going from tree to tree. It's a wild flock here on the Big Island of Hawaii, they're also known as the Hualalai Parrots. They live in a cave high up on the mountain and fly all over during the day. I was wondering what kind of pets they could make ;)
Mines 12years old :) she says i love you jojo (her names jojo) she says good morning, good night, byebye jojo, happy birthday, scoobydoo, Thank you (whenever she sees food) and loads of other things :)
I know this is an older video but figured I could get some advise. I just adopted a white eyed Conure named Jezebel. She is bonding with me pretty easy, but I'm having issues with food. Jezebel LOVES apples but that's the ONLY fruit she will eat. She won't touch veggies. I tried mixing mango, apples, and bananas this morning. She picked out all the apples and would not touch the other fruits. I also noticed she wont eat a lot of her pellets. Im pretty sure her other owner fed her on a seed mix most of the time.😐 I have added more pellets and less seed mix everyday, but she is picky. Anyone who could help me with introducing new foods and advice on what she should be eating daily, would be appreciated.😊 I have a lot of time to work with her and want to be sure she is getting the nutrition she needs. Thanks..
Sorry I found this so late! Is the bird bonded to you? Try eating pellets/fruits and veggies in front of her, she will get jealous and want some. That’s how i switched all my birdies. Try starting with wheat grass and work ur way up, wheat grass is the best introduction to veggies, it’s usually more appealing. Try a chop mix as well, this is a GREAT way to introduce new foods. This is my recipe -finely chopped green pepper -finely chopped red pepper -finely chopped envy apples (have this be the smallest pieces and the least amount) -broccoli sprouts -finely chopped kale -chopped carrots -parakeet seed mix -safflower seeds -oats -cooked quinoa/rice I’m sure if you tried that mix she would be eating it in no time!!! For more information you can dm me @parakeet._.pals on Instagram. I’d be more than happy to answer all your questions
