@Braxophone hey, can Sayu be built like good Ciao batttery? I dont have Jean yet and im desperate to free bennet and sucrose from his team
For the weapon section, I often use greystone when it's free for the high base attack (mine is not c6 yet) and for buffing the team while debuffing resistances. Works great with my Raiden and Ayaka.

I mostly don’t use Sayu because I have C1 Jean.
But for real, using Sayu to roll around while Kaeya’s and Xaingling’s bursts are up is stupidly fun lmao
The way I use her, funny enough, is with Yanfei and Rosaria.
I have Yanfei inflict pyro, Sayu roll into them to cancel it out while debuffing their resistance, Rosaria inflicts cryo, and then I blow them up with Yanfei.
I use Sayu with Qiqi/Kaeya, Kuki/Xiangling, & Barbara. Only with their ESkill, you can do a lot of Elemental Reaction without waiting for an Ult. 😅
For jean, xiangling, and kaeya team who can u recommend as other teammate?
Depending on the team C6 Sayu is a better VV applier then Jean. I speak for experience.
@@taehyungisanangel234 Bennett to buff the team ATK and even more healing. He is always good for Xiangling. Or, if you mainly use Kaeya, add either Rosaria (increases team CR due to cryo resonance) or Fischl for superconduct to decrease enemies' defense. (Disclaimer: I have not tried these teams in game, and also I do not have Jean).
Besides meta things, Sayu can act as a mount for open map exploration, which takes most of the time we play genshin imo (meta only matters twice a month for about half an hour each).

She also has a passive that makes Crystal cores easy to collect
If it wasn't for Sayu, I'd still be farming ascension materials for Cyno in the desert. It was a good idea to include it in his banner. The downside is that I have obtained more Sayu's constellations than Candace or Kuki ones in my pulls.

She's a godsend for mobile player too for catching crystal flies. I immediately level her to lvl 90 the same day I get her a year ago lol.

C6 Sayu here. You are leaving out some important information about her A1 passive and her Burst. Unlike Jean, Sayu's Burst can swirl enemy while the Doll is on field. It will continue to attack and swirl enemy while she's off-field. Combine this with her A1, Sayu can heal the whole team while she's on field using her burst too. Also, thanks to her Burst being able to swirl enemy while they are in the field unlike Jean who only swirls once on burst and when enemy leaves the field, Sayu can swirl Aggravate while being off-field. With C6 you can build full EM with crit substat and have a very strong healer while swirling Aggravate off-field too.
Hello. May i known your sayu dendro team? I have nahida and i have low level sayu c6 and I don't have jean. So i have a plan to create this team:

With Sayu on the team you can actually catch Crystalflies for your resin cakes - that's the single best logistics support passive in the game

I really like seeing these guides on lesser used characters. Once you can 36* the abyss with the same couple/few teams, it can get stale, and then building more niche or less meta units is a great way to squeeze more fun out of the game
Sayu works well with off field characters. I've been playing fischl, sayu, collei, and yae miko team. The damage is pretty dang good
This my most recent team as well (though not tested in Abyss since I haven't quite finished building Yae yet), with the difference that I've been using Dendro MC rather than Collei because I've had bad experiences with the Dendro from Collei's burst overriding all the Electro application when it's hitting a clumped up group of enemies, preventing Sayu from absorbing Electro. I've been experimenting with variations of it since the Sumeru update, and I think Yae is the one I like the best.

Sayu is so much fun in exploration and makes the whole experience so much more comfortable, especially in the new desert in Sumeru.

Nobody talks about the insane Shatter EM build on Sayu! If you use her with Kaeya, Chongyun and Xinqiu, she will dish out crazy shatter numbers constantly!

If you own a Sayu and you don't use Sayu for exploration you are missing out in so much speed, I use a combo of Sayu+Yelan and their combined speed of travel is so high i literally cannot use other characters anyone they feel like turtles

When i started the game i always used sayu because she is really fun to play, everything feel different and also she makes exploring so easy and satisfaying, i really enjoyed her. now i feel like i should build her just for the fun, hoping to get her last cons soon, thank u for the video it really makes her look like what she actually is, amazing work :D
Honestly, the only thing that really makes me dislike Sayu is the fact that her burst attacks are not AOE. If you had the Muji Muji swirl on all opponents in the burst AOE (like Dendro MC) then building EM would be decent damage.
Finally some good words about Sayu🥺
She's one of my first 4* and she's really fun to play, and it's so sad that ppl don't see her potential, and her presence on current banner is considered to be a "waste"

For me what would make Sayu perfect is AoE and taunt on her burst, also a buff to her E on her burst and CC on her E so at least small mobs can't get knocked away or escape her E.
it IS very weird that Sayu's daruma doesn't Taunt enemies. maybe her Yoohoo Art is too successful at seeming non-threatening?
Letting her skill pick up small mobs like katamari would be hilariously fun and would gives her a bit of cc.

Proto Amber Sucrose, you'll have to play better due to less heals but your DPS will shoot up 30%+ if the party has swirl-able elements, sucrose is really busted.
Sayu is adorable, fun, and one of my favorite characters. Since I don't have Jean, I've been using her as a noblesse user/ heal bot for my Xiao, and she does the job. But the teams in this guide seem really fun! I'm mostly done building my meta teams, so I've been trying to focus on other units. I only have Sayu C1, and I also want kuki and candace, so the Cyno banner is tempting... but I'd really like to keep my guaranteed for Childe, so we'll see.
I remember playing with Sayu when I was farming for her friendship, it was really fun rolling around like sonic :D

6:00 This is the exact team I use and it's the best team to explore Sumeru.
Keqing for vertical mobility, Sayu for long distance travels, and Fischl + DMC to trigger environment puzzles.
Sayu's burst is arguably better than Jean in this comp because it will trigger VV set debuff multiple times while Jean procs it only once at the beginning.
Also Sayu's burst has the same aoe as DMC's burst which is pretty convenient.
I used to play the same comp with Mona instead of DMC but it's even more powerful with Aggravate. I love that team.
(For spiral abyss and dungeons, you can swap Sayu into Sucrose with Amber prototype to trade more dmg for less healing.)

She's my most used character despite being my least picked one for combat. She's great at what she does and I love her for it.
I don't use Sayu because I have Jean....but BOY does she is more fun to use on the overworld with kazuha. It Makes exploration a Speedy breeze!
Idk about the actual numbers but I’ve been running her at C6 in aggravate teams with Yae/Fischl/Kuki/DMC/Collei and it’s pretty fun and seems effective enough. I have her on fav greatsword and she’s onfield most of the time to make the most out of the passive so she’s like a literal driver lol and she’s only 70/70 right now but she kinda makes me wanna level her up some more
160 ER seems way too ambitious unless you're constantly micromanaging her E off cooldown.
I find something like 200 ER much less sweaty and more comfortable to work with.
She already heals enough, so it's okay to give up rolls to ER so you can spam burst reliably with minimal field time.
True. Mine sits at around 220 with Katsuragikiri and ER/Atk%/Healing and it lets her Burst basically any time in the Overworld. 160 might be enough if you use her on-field as a "taxi" for stuff like XL and Kaeya Bursts and/or Barbara and Kuki Skills, but definitely not enough if you run her off-field for Burst healing mostly
Agree, I have 200 ER with favonius. Even when I put her in Raiden+Ozvaldo Taser, her energy still can't go full (roughly 70-ish) by the end of the rotation. Considering I can do two E skill and two favonius procs throughout a single rotation.
I don't see the point of throwing most of your artifact stats into increasing your heals.
I think the 160% ER only works for Sayu's EM build, since the value comes from her E and she will be on field much longer than healer Sayu.
Absolutely trying some of those teams. Dendro Traveler, Sayu, Fischl, and Barbara just sounds like a good time. Finally got a Favonius Greatsword to drop, too.

I started using her for exploration purposes but then decided to build her for some combat utility and holy heck was that one of the best decisions I've ever made and now she's both my main healer and sub DPS.
I never really pay much attention to her ever since i brought her home, but now that Hoyo gave me C6 Sayu (and yes, her cons really improve her playstyle significantly), it's time to roll and show the people from shuumatsuban the result of intense sleeping training 😎👌

So I recently made a concept team for giggles, and it ended up being surprisingly effective. I realized I had a bunch of characters with Barbara's skill effect, so I just stacked them up.
Barbara, Shinobu, Qiqi, and Collei. Go go, Team Orbital?
It...is surprisingly effective. I got my first set of random commissions in Sumeru, and for the lols I threw this team at all four of them. It not only did well, I didn't have as much trouble as I was expecting since I didn't have a shield crutch. I was quite surprised by just how much damage it did.
In places where dendro utility isn't required, swapping Collei's very short 3 second orbital for Sayu is now a firmly planted idea this video gave me, not to mention the massively improved world travel time.
Also, as a secondary laugh, the entire team will now be all healers with Sayu in the last slot.

I built a taser team with childe Raiden beidou and sayu(who has rainslasher and VV with EM focus), and it's actually really good. Having Raiden in the team helps battery her burst and increases its damage, and it being an 80 cost burst helps charge more stacks for Raiden burst. Having Raidens skill active for free electro swirls while rolling is fun. Then I switch to burst with beidou, then swap to childe to go ham(with viridescent hunt for the cyclone to draw enemies in). Raiden skill, beidous burst, riptide props, slashes from his stance, and ticks from his cyclone fill the screen utterly with numbers. It's amazing.

She has become so much good after her elemental skill got fixed and now I can't travel without her in Sand Area , she's just too good for travelling
your build for the Forest Regalia would actually solve a major conundrum for me that I am having where in I want to use Beidou as a onfield and I can swap out sucrose with Sayu to solve the lack of healing on my team for spiral abyss (which is literally the only problem I am having) the team I am using atm is Beidou (off-field dps), Sucrose (on-field dps) Fischl (battery), and Dendro MC (quicken and aggravate applicator) with Sayu I'll be able to do Beidou (on-field dps), Sayu (off-field res shred and healing), Fischl or Raiden (battery dps), and Dendro MC (quicken and aggravate applicator)

I C6'd my Sayu pulling for Raiden, lol. I also C6'd Rosaria, sometimes getting 2 constellations in one pull for both characters, it was nuts

Hey sir, I believe you may have goofed up the explanation of the Makhaira Aquamarine claymore.
You say, "Even with the downtime between its buffs, it's extremely strong..."
But there IS no downtime between buffs; the effect occurs every 10 seconds and lasts 12 seconds... and the buff stacks.
Was using Jean since 1.1 but once we got to Inazuma and I got Sayu, been playing her over Jean ever since, same build (4p VV with atk and crit, favonius for energy), can't afford EM VV since that's on Kazuha (and I never got past c2 anyway).
Jean E is a fun mechanic but sitting there holding it on abyss has became a waste of time, while Sayu E allows me to move around the abyss and get enemies on the other side, while also generating particles on the way, and though her burst doesn't heal you to full instantly, the bigger radius allows for better continuous healing and damage as the battle moves around.
She's one of my absolute favorites in overworld as well. Love rolling her with Raiden and Xinyan.
I have a C3 Sayu with R4 Rainslasher doing wonders on my aggravate Lisa team, so I can confirm she's quite a nice character to have.

After realizing how vast the desert is, I have come here to build Sayu so she can join Scara, Yelan and Kazuha.
I prefer her over Jean cuz she doesnt make enemies fly away from u when u hit them with ele skill and also she swirls enemies with her burst constantly throughout its whole duration for consistant swirl dmg, ele spreading and so on (Jean's burst doesnt do this). I think in a few teams she can easily replace Jean and be even better option
She does less damage than Jean, less support utility and she plays more single target compared to Jean. I still prefer Sayu but I feel like it's important to caveat your comment.

@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks idk who told u about Sayu being for single target when her best teams and situations are for aoe and the only difference to utility that she doeant cleanse but her burst at least applies consistant anemo on enemies in good aoe for off field sub dps. The only thing is worse is raw dmg. Thats it

Jean would only be using full EM in sunfire Jean teams, but Sayu can be built full EM while capitalizing on healing if you get her weapon from 3.1 banner. She will gain a huge chunk of atk, and a considerable amount of atk to her party members. We will see when it comes.

I call my soup team WrestleMania (Sayu + Kaeya, Barbara, Kuki, or Xiangling). All of them are mostly ER/EM build and its so satisfyingly chaotic.

Sayu guide, let’s go!
Personally surprised no one mentions Skyward Pride. Flat Damage Bonus Across the board, high base ATK, which scales well for a ATK% set up with Sayu, while also giving a boost to physical damage for periods in which you're Elemental Skill is cooling down. Meanwhile it also provides Recharge. I've used a number of the Elemental Mastery Claymores and despite not having an ATK% Artifact like a Sand or Goblet, it still does more damage on Sayu than either the Mailed Flower or Rainslasher. It's also in my opinion considerably better than the other recharge weapons. Yes of course it's a 5 Star, but it's one that many players who've been playing will likely have gotten over the few years this game's come out, and shouldn't be overlooked. Basically I have a Rank 1 lvl 90 Skyward Pride, and it still deals more damage in a fight regardless whether skill or burst or normal attacks than any of the other weapon's I've tried. For example with Mail Flower she would do like 16k anemo damage when doing the final kick from her Elemental Skill. Skyward Pride she was hitting 17K. I noticed most attacks were getting about 1k more damage in general. It isn't a big difference, but I am comparing an OLD Rank 1 5 Star with a new Rank 5 4 Star that is built for EM style characters. Yet Skyward Pride was still doing better.
I use sayu on electro charge team Raiden,Yelan,Fischl. Sayu heals, VV shreds and can proc double swirls off field. She gets the job done. Having a grouper isn’t necessary with how much aoe Raiden has. Also since I don’t have to worry about ER I can just switch characters mid roll and skip the laggy kick after her roll. Then I can run Jean on other side of abyss with Ayaka,Shenhe,Kazuha.

For me, ironically, Jean was at her most useful during that turet-defence event for levels with multiple bridges, since she could pick up and throw into the void smaller enemies so the side with less towers could have enough time to blast hulking units before they reach the portal. Sayu is so much fun during trials, but awkward in the overworld and much less useful for bosses

I have a VV full em build with er and atk% substats on her! R5 sacrificial, and she's in my top 3 healers and has a solid slot in my nahida/miko aggrevate team. I highly reccomend her bc of her EM scaling(I have her at c6) and doesn't mess with reactions bc of her element.

I got both her and Jean but I've always preferred Sayu over Jean. Firstly because she's just infinitely more fun. But also while Jeans numbers are typically higher, her constantly pushing enemies away is something that gets old real fast, especially when you're used to playing with characters like Kazuha who does the exact opposite.
as an anemo main i use heizou (on my alt acc i use venti because i just rolled him right after i started my alt, yesterday), and imagine this, i wanted sayu for world exploration, now i want her for anything (except maining her), but i rolled on the wrong banner and i got a cyno now instead of a venti

Thank you for that guide. I’m a new player and wanted to deal a new team with my Keqing, Kokomi and Dendro mc. I used sucrose but don’t like her playstyle a lot so I hoped for another unit. Sayu looks really fun. I hope I get her tomorrow
If u have sacrificial fragment and constellation 1 or 2 sucrose, it will be very fun.

Inazuma Craftable claymore is really good for Sayu. It has energy recharge substat and flat energy passive.
