This tank represents my first serious attempt at a 3d printed project. In my opinion the T-35 is unique enough to deserve to be scratch built. Consisting mostly of rectangles and cylinders I figured it would be a good starting point, I was incorrect, but nevertheless it is completed!
The base meshes I used are from War Thunder, which I blame for giving me an eye for this tank. The Meshes had adequate detail to give me a good idea about what even some of the smaller details looked like. The remaining features were the result of browsing what pictures and other builds I could find online.
The model has the following features:
    • Fully working suspension
    • 1 turret with RC 360 rotation, elevation and barrel recoil
    • 2 turrets with RC rotation and manual elevation
    • 2 turrets with manual rotation
    • Working headlights and tail markers
    • Working cooling fan
    • Smoke machine for exhaust
    • Realistic sounds
    • Accurate (mostly) scale details and tools
The functions are achieved using the OpenPanzer TCB which I would highly recommend for its versatility and customization options, I struggle to think of another way I could control 3 turrets as easily as I did.
Motion is provided by a set of modified Heng Long KV gearboxes, Standard ones are too low torque and will stall when attempting to turn due to the ludicrous track contact length. I would recommend using a good low ratio gear set for this. Provided are motor mount sleds for the HL boxes.
Other electronics include 2 standard servos for the secondary turrets, one more modified for continuous rotation and 2 micro servos for elevation and recoil.
I control the model using an 8ch transmitter.
