Most beautiful version of this song EVER. I first heard it Christmas 1991. It was included in a Halmark album my mom gave me as a gift. I've been looking for this exact version for years, and I just found it today. I have chills from head to toe.
I purchased this cassette tape by Hallmark, Celebrate Christmas. I shared this tape with my choral teacher and she was in tears afterwards. This is the best version ever known to man. It cannot be beaten.
Yes me too , I bought it in a food market and played Sandies version of this carol over and over , it broke me, I lost the cd but hearing this again has the same effect
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Sword felt its worth. A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born; O night divine! O night, O night divine! Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother. And in His name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born; O night divine! O night, O night divine! O night divine! Divine!
You have to understand music, especially when it comes to Opera. Most people like you have a tin ear when it comes to the upper register, and tonality. The person does not come close to range or the notes that Sandi hits in O holy night. In short, it is an extremely difficult song to sing.
The best version of this song ever sung.
I agree, my absolute favorite arrangement with the most anointed voice ever!
Best version I used to listen this song when I was a girl wishing I could be a soprano like her.
For ever the best version sung
Sandi's treatment of this song is like her treatment of the Star-spangled Banner. There will never be another like it! It was even better live!!
One of the best versions of O Holy Night for me..Glory to God🙏🏻❤️

As usual, Sandi, you bring tears to my eyes...! I don't know why I get so deeply moved!
Because her voice is a gift of God!
I am good, I will stay with the best, Sandi Patty
Let all within us praise His holy name!

Eine begnadete Stimme. 🧡
Despise her politics and ideology but damn! LSO and choir did her good here.
