This was the big changing factor in the series, Stillwell, who's male, dying never happens, he actually lives through out the entire comics run. Becca being alive, with her son, is completely new. Since that story of Becca dying from the child clawing it's way out is the actual comic story. So season 2 has a lot more of original content, but yet it's still great. Also, Cyclops has concussive beams (acts like a big energy push) rather than heat vision, except for the movies where they gave it heat sometimes.
@@Psycorde Exactly. Similar to a water jet cutting machine. You don't need heat, or a sharp edge to cut. Cyclops concussive beams, focused, would simply push the material out of the way, achieving same result as a laser beam, just without heat.
@@Psycorde he does have a dial on his visor so I'm guessing it can control both the size and intensity of the beam. If he wanted to cut something he'd have to decrease the size and increase the intensity like how water cutting machines do it. But since that's too brutal he just used low intensity and wider beams that act more like water canons.
yeah, when the legend becomes fact, print the legend. superman solidified heat vision in everyone's mind so if you have eye beam powers after that = heat vision even if its the truth. so many people call cyclops' optic blasts "heat vision". even comic writers like gail simone like to joke about it lol
Butcher found out that his wife was raped when Mallory showed him the security footage of Homelander and Becca entering a room and then her leaving with disheveled clothes and in tears 3 hours later. He basically put two and two together. I think the Episode where this is shown was the same one Butcher killed Mesmer in if I remember correctly.
I think she was not. They had sex. Then she sits in the park regretting her decision. Homelander is evil but I don't think he's into that kind of shit.

The reason Cyclops couldn’t necessarily work like this is that his eye beams aren’t actually lasers. His eyes are portals to a dimension of pure molecular kinetic energy, meaning that instead of burning or melting things, the beams that come from his eyes hit/blast/impact whatever they’re aimed at with incredible force. And like an aperture on a lens, he can dial the beam to increase or decrease yeh power of the kinetic force.
Since you recognized Jim Beaver as Bobby Singer from Supernatural, (who was named after one of that show's producers) here's a fun note if you didn't see it: His character is (arguably) the same person (maybe an alternate reality?). Because his name in this show is....Secretary of Defense Robert A. Singer.
Fun little Easter egg, the building where Vought is having their party in this episode, is the same filming location for the intro scene of 2000's X-Men where Professor X and Magneto talk in the hallway.
Great reaction, the finale of this season is amazing, one of the best. Anthony Star whom plays Homelander is amazing in this role. He was great in Banshee but really the role and Homelander's ability to flip a switch he plays perfectly. The cast all the way around was great and well done.
Jen, Homelander doesn't talk down to women because they're women, he does it because he's better than everyone else. Think about how he talked down to Deep and A-Train just as much. The only person he never talked down to was Black Noir, and that was just because Noir did what he was supposed to and never said a word. I honestly don't think it was a sexist thing at all with him.
Homelander probably views being with Butcher's wife consensually in the same way Dennis Reynolds would - just casually slip in an _implication_ and she just so happens to "willingly" chose what he wants
