I graduated yesterday as well, and it didn't actually hit me until after I was driving to dinner afterwards. Just like that my 14 years of schooling came to an abrupt end. I remember being younger and every adult I came into contact with would tell me how time flies, but I never believed them.. But now here I am, 18, out of high school, and getting ready to attend college in a few weeks. It's crazy how quickly these last 4 years passed by. I laughed, I cried, I failed, I excelled, I got my heart broken, I healed, and I learned so much and made my best friends and met the most amazing teachers that are the reason I am where I am today. I've been watching you since my junior year, and I've always enjoyed that we're the same age and on the same level in terms of school, and you have been one of the people that have helped keep me motivated when I felt like I couldn't keep going. I discovered the quote, "she believed she could, so she did," from you, and I live by that quote. I wish you nothing but the best in your future expeditions.

Just wait till college 😊 it's so awesome. High school is so great, but the times you have in college are even greater, because everything you do, is for yourself. I agree that when you're in high school it goes by so quickly, almost too quickly, and it's gone. But it's okay because what life has in store for you is way beyond you're understanding. When you were talking about how this day marked the end of high school for you, idky I got emotional for you! Haha :) I wasn't the biggest fan of high school, and although college has had its ups and downs, it's been such an amazing time. And I love that you've had an awesome time in high school! You're so right about the memories and living those moments that are simply irreplaceable. I pray that God continues to use you as a light to others, especially younger girls who look up to you! Aw Danielle, your small 'speech' in the car made me think back to when I graduated my 'highschool' (secondary school in Ireland) ,this time last year, and I am still crying thinking back, you are so right when you say to make the memories count, I have so many good memories from school and I was also so lucky to have made some great friends!! One piece of advice I have for you and everyone leaving to go to college is always make time to see your old friends and never lose that connection you have as they will be your friends for life.

girl, when you were driving in your car talking about cherishing the memories from hight school i was crying with you. i start my sophomore year of college in the fall, and i honestly miss high school a ton. granted, i didn't have the best four years in high school and there were so many things that i wish i could go back and change so that those four years could have been better, but those little memories that you mentioned like going to football games and just being with friends made my heart so full. it makes me so full of joy to know that you had such an amazing four years. you are such a beautiful and positive soul and deserve so much happiness. i hope your having a summer that's as amazing as you are and congrats on graduating❤️❤️
It marked 3 years at the end of May since I graduated high school and everything you said is true. It is normal that you cried. I cried on my graduation day with my class too. When you become a college student your life will change. High school can suck but those can be some of the best moments & years of your life, even when you go through rough patches. You will never be a teenager again. You will feel different and there's something beautiful about childhood and teenagehood.. Adulting is super hard but it's also a great experience. Live in the moment! Take everything day by day. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just live your life to the best of your ability!

I felt the same way when I graduated high school.. I loved high school but honestly life is so much more than it. You'll meet so many more people and have so many amazing memories in the years to come!
Old person here haha I graduated high school in 2009 yikes! Its so crazy how much life changes and how many things happen. Friends come and go, even family does sometimes. Always remember to live in the moment, to love yourself and enjoy every day. Congrats Danielle and any graduating seniors!

I graduated from high school 10 years ago! Enjoy these years, they go fast! I've grown up so much, and I've got to experience a lot of great things these past 10 years. Coming from someone who had a great 4 years of high school and is now in my 2nd year of college, I can honestly say that the memories quickly fade. You get to experience college and you realize high school was so temporary and all the things you did does not even compare to how great college will be. I was the same way as Danielle, crying in my car the day of graduation, but looking back, I honestly don't care for high school memories anymore cause I am getting to experience college and is it makes you realize how minut high school really was.
I know how you felt Danielle it was hard to see everyone crossing that stage and those who classmates and friends. Everyone is going to different schools and stuff. I can honestly say I have the greatest memories of my High School and overall of class of 2015 everything we did as a senior class. Congrats Again

i graduated last year and this is so relatable. everyone was saying how excited they are to graduate, but once it actually happens, you never see the kids you grew up with. you take for granted seeing your bestfriends everyday.

I graduated hs two years ago and everything Danielle said is true. I started tearing. You will never be able to get that same feeling like high school. Appreciate it and take in each and every moment. It goes fast and sure getting up early everyday is very annoying, but trust me you will miss it. You grow so close to the school, it becomes a second home. Ugh now i'm crying! Take in every single moment. Carpe diem. Enjoy it. Have fun.
I wanted to cry when Danielle was in the car talking about her senior year. I've already finished college myself (the same college as Joey went to, i live in Ottawa too). And it hit me hard because while I do agree with Danielle about making every year and memory count my high school experience all together wasn't the best. Being bullied and having surgery wasn't the best combination.
But for me in my senior year, it did all turn around. Everyone stopped being rude! It was a relief that I could enjoy that year. I started youtube that year, I went to almost all the dances (alone all the time but hey! Still went ^_^ ). And like she said, join clubs. I was only in one and i stopped it in Senior year so I could focus more on grades and I actually am glad I stopped it for that year. SO LIKE DANIELLE SAID, Make the best of your years (that's essentially what I got from her speech lol)
and Danielle if you do read this, i love you and your vids girl, and like i said i live in Ottawa, and i would love to meet you when you're here next (& unfortunately i'm leaving Ottawa on Canada Day to Edmonton...Maybe i'll see you in the airport lol)
That is definitely one thing I wish I would have done more. I graduated 4 years ago, and even now I still regret not taking in every moment so much more than I did. Once it's gone, it's gone. I miss high school so much. Congratulations, Danielle. Off to the next adventure. ☺

I had the same thoughts as you when I graduated and also had a very close group of friends and we all also went off to different colleges and I miss the closeness we all had those four years where we knew exactly what each person was thinking and could finish each other sentences. I graduated last Saturday. I was the same way! I lived in the same town for my entire life and I am going away next year for school.

This vlog made me realize how blessed I am to live in the country I live. We don't have to go far away to college, we have this big college in our country that's really prestigious and once you graduate from high school the majority of people goes there so you still see them, and even if you don't, I'm literally half hour away from all my school friends. That's one of the beautiful things that small countries have ❤
