Without my girlfriend knowing I had her plan me a surprise birthday party. Little did she know I'd be playing and singing her a song I learned on the guitar and then proposing. It all worked out PERFECTLY!

Nina Dyson I actually thought it was sexy - very genuine - not overdone, just a real moment with a handsome guy singing his love to his beautiful girl. It was magic and I liked the gum, didn’t make it so stiff as some proposals. Very raw and real. I loved this!

I know that feeling. LOL. Was with my boyfriend, now fiance, for six years before he asked. He would tell you that four of those years were me going through college so it's my fault LOL, but he did propose two days after our six year anniversary and now we are getting married later this year! Don't focus too much on your age. You are still young. (cliche to say, but it is true)
Also, in my opinion it is much better to take a good amount of time to date before getting married because you have to opportunity to get to know each other a lot better than someone who had only been dating for around one year. You can start to learn a lot more about each others little quirks after the honeymoon phase wears off and truly see if you could accept them for the rest of your life.
Enjoy life to the fullest and make sure to treasure every moment with him that you have, whether he is your boyfriend or fiance.

I love that even though he was getting progressively more nervous and it was really difficult for him, he sang the song all the way through. It's like a mini analogy for marriage right there. You're going to mess up, but you pick up where you left off and keep going.

+luv babyG It makes it a lot easier to sing because when you're nervous your throat and mouth get VERY dry when you are as nervous as he was, so the gum helps keep it from drying.
