After the battle, they sat in the Great Hall during the celebrations, looking unsure that they belonged there; but did not leave. because of Narcissa's lie to the Dark Lord that saved Harry's life in the Forbidden Forest. and Lucius and Draco's abandonment of Voldemort and his cause, None of them served time in Azkaban and all
their crimes were forgiven. Narcissa and Lucius eventually became a grandmother

Lucius and Narcissa defected from Voldemort's side because of what he did to them and their son and the fact that he'd clearly lost, not because they changed their ideals in that one moment, and they avoided imprisonment because of their collaboration with the Ministry.

Nah. Do you know the reason Voldemort picked on Lucius? It's because after Voldemort's downfall, Lucius didn't come to help him. Why? Because Lucius and his family benefited from a world where Voldemort wasn't around and Voldemort was very aware of his upon his return. The Malfoys only re-joined out of fear, because if they hadn't they would have been hunted.
That’s false. The malfoys benefitted greatly during the first wizarding war and were truly disappointed to see the fall of Voldemort. They rejoined out of their own free will and it was only until Lucius’s failure at the department of mysteries did the Malfoy family live in fear of Voldemort. It was that failure that prompted them to slowly realize they were better off without Voldemort.

Fun fact, Draco and Harry are 3rd cousins, their grandparent/great grandparent Dorea (Harry) and Pollux (Draco) being siblings! They would be second cousins, but due to Pollux having Cygnus II before, in turn, Cygnus II having Narcissa (Draco’s mom), the genes spread a lil further out. Weird facts, Harry and Ron are also closely related, being 3rd cousins. their great grand parents Cygnus I (Harry) and Arcturus (Ron) being siblings, making Harry’s children products of incest. Speaking of incest, Harry’s beloved uncle Sirius Black is a product of incest, his parents Walburga and Orion being second cousins. I think when they were sitting in the grand hall, people didnt completely shit on Narcissa and Lucius because Draco was there with them, and Draco *did* fight in the Battle of Hogwarts against Voldemort, rather valiantly iirc
They probably gave Draco some respect for actually fighting, plus the teachers probably explained as well (which wasnt explained by JK)
In real life worse people were forgiven of far worse war crimes than anything the Malfoy’s did. That the Malfoy’s suffer no punishment is probably one of the more true to life things that comes out of the end of the Harry Potter series.
Ain’t gonna lie, Draco I can understand being forgiven and Mabye even praised considering he went against his parents technically, but his folks did some shady stuff to say the least

I watched the movies before I read the books. I thought they were cowards because of the way they were portraid in that scene. And honestly if they had left the scene where Draco through Harry's wand it would've changed everything for me. Maybe just confused as to why they didn't stay and fight.
In the book when the battle starts after Harry "comes back to life" they dont actually fight on it
They even fight some random death eaters while trying to look for Draco in the mess and then they stay to the side

This is all really good points-wise. I'd add to Draco the whole "product of his environment" thing. Draco could have killed Dumbledore (in the sense that he wouldn't have stopped Draco probably) and genuinely didn't want to. Draco was an asshole and probably to a degree still is, but not a villain

Well Draco actually rescue Slytherin students from being locked up in dungeon during the war and saved his BFF. After that try to get his wand back. Which led to his BFF almost killed Hermoine. But in the end he saved Harry by giving him his wand hahahah

The Malfoys should have been booted from the Great Hall, with Lucius and Narcissa handed over to Aurors. Abandoning Voldemort at the last minute does not absolve them of crimes and the horrible things they did leading up to that point.
As for Narcissa "saving" Harry by lying to Voldemort. She didn't do it out of the kindness of her heart, she did it to find and protect Draco. That was her priority. After Harry confirmed Draco was alive Narcissa dug her nails into his chest to hurt him. Also, after the Battle of Hogwarts was over, no one would've known she "saved" Harry. Harry was the only person who did, and he spent his time fighting and was immediately occupied with other concerns afterward.

It is more believable that everyone in the Great Hall had physically and magically attacked the Malfoys upon noticing them. They were part of an invading army responsible for so many deaths that day.

They did so out of fear to side with voldemort now i didn’t read the books but from the moment lord voldemort returned you could tell that most of the death eaters stuck with him out of fear. Even when voldemort requested to use someone’s wand nobody wanted to offer theirs even Lucius didn’t want to offer his but he had too to remain loyal. Now yeah like Dumbledore would’ve been alive and those who died at the battle of Hogwarts could’ve possibly been avoided since voldemort got the elder wand when Dumbledore died and Dumbledore died because of Draco but again they were pawns in Lord Voldemort’s plan and if they didn’t remain loyal they all could’ve been killed so they did so out if fear .
