As for intros, this is one of the few channels I watch thru the intro. Most of them I skip through because (especially here on YT) are the same. However, I always watched the intro to Magnum, PI and Miami Vice.
As for skipping intros... I definitely skip after a little while besides said examples like Simpsons with a slight variation every episode. Otherwise I don't want a recap of the last episode or anything, just jump into the next scene and I'm good to go lol.
So I have a question regarding aging whiskey in Texas. Daniel has talked about how you can only age a whiskey in Texas for a few years before they have gone too far because of the climate. Daniel has also talked about how you cant cheat the time required to have the wood lignins breakdown when in contact with the alcohol. Is there an advantage to using larger barrel (hogsheads, or larger) to increase the amount of time a whiskey can spend in the barrel to aid in how long you have for reactions like the lignins breaking down to occur?
I agree with Daniel; there are shows where the intro gets you amped up and excited to watch the show. That being said, I'll watch the opening for the first two or three episodes, if that. After that, I skip it. As Rex said, there's no need to rewatch the same piece of content for every single episode of a TV show. I get that someone spent time making it (I even made one or two for school projects years ago, so I know what goes into it), but I don't feel the need to rewatch it every time. I think that's more relevant to movies (e.g., the James Bond movies, as Daniel mentioned) where it's one-and-done.
Always loved the theme to 2 shows: The Greatest American Hero and the ER... and I love James E Pepper. To me it’s an Old School Rye type of Rye. Great video Guys!

I typically skip the intros. But, if I remember correctly, whenever you start a new series on Netflix, the "skip intro" feature doesn't come up until the second episode. You need to see the intro at least once because of it. I could be completely wrong tho.

Trivia: Craig Ferguson had this Join or Die cartoon tattooed on his arm when he became an American citizen.
I love this whisky. But I love Rye whisky so I guess I’m bias on this one. But this rye is loaded with brash rye grain and a generous dose of oak...that is well integrated though. This is definitely a Rye I would always like to have on my bar. Cheers.

Daniel, did he make you watch the credits as well? The intro depends on the show. Pre Covid, I would make the family sit through the credits to allow the crowd to leave and because of 'Strange Brew'. You never knew if an extra nugget was added.
I enjoy the full intro. Many times they know people will skip so they will change small things. Example: Game of Thrones into would help inform you which houses (Locations) were involved in the upcoming episodes. If they are not doing things like that, then skip after you get past the first few. But I can see it from Daniel's point of view. I just have young kids so those 1 min intros can be the difference of getting 6 hours of sleep or 5 hours and 59 min. Mentally it makes a difference.
Gravity Falls has a intro that subtly changes, and by the end of the last season it is super different, along with the progression in story of the show itself.
If watching one episode, then watch intro. If binging a whole season, then skip intros after watching the first one. I don't need to be brought into the mindset if I am already there.

I do both, sometimes I skip the intro when I binge watching older episodes of something. Thought there are a couple of theme songs I really like, so those always get played.

Re: skipping intros, it varies for me. Sometimes it's that last chance for me to go grab a drink, get settled with my knitting, or just enjoy a beautiful/fun opening sequence, but for some shows I skip it because it's difficult to watch (The Man In The High Castle is a good example -- the cover of Edelweiss is so damn creepy that I zoomed right by it after the first episode) or it's absurdly long.

Many sitcoms do the shortened intro after season one, and I'm here for it. Give me the final line of the theme, and get right into the damn show.
