If you pull the trigger halfway through then engage the safety, there’s nothing wrong with the gun. There’s something wrong with you.

Newer G3c won't fire, however you will hear a click. First thing I did when I bought one. Tried getting an empty case with a primer to go off. It didn't.

I have no issue with having an external safety on a handgun. If you dont want to engage it, don't, but if you do, it's available. No big deal.

Aye good to know. I got a Taurus G3C. Solid shooter from my experience. Zero Misfires. Cycles like a champ. Even with a 20+1 Extended Mag put in. Mag Dumps the whole Mag with Zero issues. Good video. Feel sorry for the gun but it is necessary lol

I recently picked up a G2C. I quickly discovered it had a "short chamber". Some rounds from various companies and of various bullet weights would stick in the chamber after being chambered. The only way to eject the live chambered round, was to hold it by the pistol grip with one hand and smack the hell out the back of the slide with the other. Kinda scary - but it didn't go off when I did this. Taurus didn't seem to concerned with my issue. Which has always been my experience with them anytime I've contacted them with a problem. I asked if I could exchange my barrel for one that didn't have a short chamber. They quickly said negative to my request. They told me to fire 400-500 rounds of ammo that didn't get stuck in the chamber and "break it in". With ammo prices like they are at the moment, I'd have spent more on ammo to make their gun work than the gun cost ! But like I stated earlier - I wasn't surprised by their remedy or their lack of concern. That seems to be their companies standard operating procedure.

Love my G3C so I'm glad it isn't affected, I think it's the striker fire Gx4 that had this issue...

The GX4 has a current recall for possible discharge when dropped.

I think the trigger got better but still has a springy feel but the GX4 they really made that trigger smooth so taurus is getting better as they go

You should not be pulling the trigger when engaging the manual safety. You do one or the other. Finger off the trigger until ready to shoot is a gun safety rule. The trigger is a two stage single action trigger with double action restrike. It is not a single stage single action trigger like on most strikers. Nothing wrong with it. Just different and if you don't like it or do not intend to practice staging or prepping the trigger like you would for a double action then don't buy the pistol. But stop being a trigger snob. It has a trigger safety so its pointless to do drop tests.

You are correct about you shouldn’t be pulling the trigger when engaging the safety. I was just making a simple point that you shouldn’t be able to engage the safety when the the trigger is half depressed. I actually dislike mechanical safety’s like it has. The blade safety is good enough. If you know how to properly carry and operate a pistol…
As far as the trigger goes, it is actually a good trigger for striker fired pistol. It is also a vast improvement over the G2C, and yes for those shoot a lot we become snobs when it comes to triggers and the such.
As far as the drop test it was my intention to show how safe the G3C is and it’s durability. I am going to be doing more with this pistol as I get time… For the price point of this pistol, yes I actually bought it, I am impressed with this pistol. This is a point I am going to be getting to.
Taurus has had a less then pleasing rep for QC but they have also came along way since they 1st started making polymer framed pistols…

Brave or stupid depends who I am talking to. I made sure the primer only was in the casing. Wanted pressure against the slide taking up any headspace to get accurate results.
