I would totally press charges on that girl, especially because right after she apologize she started making excuses that she was only 19 and a good kid
That last video is so old but when I started working fast food I had a customer come up and try to accuse me of doing exactly what she did but I had to call my boss to come show them the security footage that I just took it out and left it on the counter but they I guess didn't see me put it down. But since then when I work in fast food I made sure if I had to leave the window for any reason at all that their card was in full view at the window or leave it in the thing so that no one could ever even think I would do something like that.
@@LoRosa0224 I recently used to work window as well and I guess I look a certain way because I take the money/ card pay and wait for a print out without ever setting it down because I can be so forgetful. Well 70 percent of the time by the time I’m almost done they scoot their car up and I see them watching me! Like okay whatever I look like a criminal to you but a dumb one too?! Rude. I also know it happens to me way more often then some other employees even more than the minors, that’s why I assume it’s the way I look. Maybe the way I look and also that people often mistake me for underage.
My parents are pretty well off and they still made me and my two siblings work retail to help us develop empathy and a sense of what the Real World is like. These are people just trying to do their jobs, treat them like you’d want people to treat YOU on your least favorite shift!

I'm in management at a large fast food restaurant, and we have the right to refuse service, however, most of the time, if you're just cursing us out or being a dick, we'll still serve you because we want your money. The only reason I'd refuse service is if personally I felt unsafe or if you provoked or harassed one of my employees. If you're just going to call me names, sure whatever, I'll serve you, but if you harass one of my employees, especially one of my minors, that's where I draw the line. You're not getting served and you're also getting banned from our location.
@@rachelcrepeault7617 I was so lucky that my last job was at a hardware store, where I was allowed to be a bit bitchy since I didn’t "look like I should work there" The looks they gave me when I talked back? 😙👌
As someone who's worked in the food service industry and messed up people's order, and as someone who's ordered food and received an incorrect order, I can't even begin to tell you how happy food service workers are to fix the order if you ask politely and don't freak out about it.
@Jocelyn Davis exactly there’s assholes on both sides of the cash register.. my biggest pet peeve is when I literally order one thing & they cut me off saying “will that complete your order?” & then continue to say it after each item I order like I’ll lyk when I’m done Jesus 🤣 but I’ve never went crazy on a mf.. the closest I’ve come to talkin crazy was when they were being disrespectful to my grandpa that has pancreatic cancer they just kept rolling their eyes at him & cutting him off like wtf lol.. I’m not a fan of the saying “there’s no reason to talk crazy to a fast food employee.” It’s like saying “there’s no reason to hit a woman.” Like there’s plenty of reasons we just don’t do it 🤣🤷🏽♂️ as the great comedian bill burr said
I am a fast food manager, so I'm surrounded by literal children at work most of the time. And I am QUICK to come to their defence when an entitled asshole Karen decides to come at 1 of them sideways. I have 4 kids of my own, so protecting those kids comes natural. They are MY kids when they are in the store with me, and I have proven it when the occasion arises. I will lose my job with a smile on my face cuz the customer is NOT always right. I'm lucky that my GM is ready and more than willing to stand up for her crew and her managers. If push came to shove, I wouldn't actually get fired unless I got physical. And she has proven it right in front of me before.
She might have had covid too because lately it's been floating around they had to send me home for a week. These kind of customers come in the store in raged like that they should probably be tested for covid too before they leave it's not fair because it sets the employees check back for a week and it makes them late on there rent.
bro, the sheer embarrassment that making a scene in public would cause me is enough to make me never do anything close to this on even my worst days. people who take out their feelings on other, completely unrelated people are so cringe.
Not "I'm sorry that this is an inconvenience for you", YOU STOLE HER CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND PROCEEDED TO SPEND MONEY THAT ISN'T YOURS. An inconvenience would be giving her the wrong order, not literal theft. I hope being charged with credit card fraud isn't too big an inconvenience for the employee.
I had an employee at Burger King ring up the wrong order for me. She saw her mistake and knew she needed to fix it. It was $2 more than what I was originally going to pay. I wouldn’t have minded but she didn’t want to charge me the extra money. Awesome employee.
We can have sympathy for her, but we also need to remember she didn't just get "tangled up in that" - she CAUSED the entanglement of her victims due to her choice. Doesn't matter if she's a "smart" or not so smart person, she still needs to be held accountable - even more so if she had the mental capability to more fully understand what she was doing.
@@kaybadberg534 Had a McDonald's employee try to charge me $13 for a single quarter pounder meal, back when they were $5.75 with tax. Had to get a manager to fix it, because they refused to admit they had it wrong. Bad employee.

That’s a shame cause we’re blessed to live in a country with endless food options/availability (for some), but the common fool wouldn’t consider that🤷🏽♀️
People don’t understand that sometimes there are food shortages or maybe the food is too frozen to serve, but they either already are having too bad of a day to care or they just want to stir something up. They just want to take it out on the nearest person.
It does make me feel good about myself to know that even on days when I'm exhausted and having a bad chronic pain flare, I've never been worse than slightly, politely impatient with service workers.... Even on days when I'm about two seconds from crying, I've never been a Karen. So what excuse do these folks have?
Dude my whole life up to 22yo I was such an anxious little pushover, one time I tried to order 5 burgers and fries from McDonald's (don't judge me 😅) and the lady only rung up 2 of the burgers and I was just like "yeah that's right" bc I didn't want to repeat myself or "inconvenience" her.. so I left with a fraction of my order, a forced smile on my face and my tail between my legs 😂 now I'm more assertive and dare a bitch to try me if necessary but still I could NEVER imagine acting like this to people just trying to do their job.
Like I might have an attitude, but I'll still say please and thank you and be understanding if things go wrong. I literally can't imagine losing it on someone to the point of throwing out slurs, committing assault of any kind, screaming, etc.
It's painfully obvious when someone has never worked customer service Edit: I've read the comments and I promise I'm not saying that everyone who doesn't work customer service is a jerk, I'm saying that certain people can give off a sense of entitlement, I think it's possible that they don't know when to put themselves in the shoes of others.
I mean... I haven't worked costumer service and I'm always nice to them. And if anything goes wrong I understand because I'm human, they're human, we all mistakes. Like wtf, why would anyone get mad for like the smallest thing? I'm assuming they're projecting and just finding an easy target for their anger. They probably do it towards people working in customer service because you gotta be nice and just take it... because if you try and do something (like that guy who tried to make the male Karen leave) you'll get attacked and threatened even more.
My grandpa didn’t and he’s just really entitled about how sometimes we get a dollar raise ?? Okay but it still doesn’t fit living standards so let’s hope for another

Verbally or physically assaulting others because a person doesn't like something IS 👏 NOT 👏 OKAY 👏. There needs to be consequences. "I harassed him like I always do." Oof. Yes to pressing charges.
This happened recently after those two Walmart shootings, my coworker who has some really bad anxiety had started shaking and trembling. The customer he was helping saw that, and said "People like you are the ones that shoot up Walmarts" My coworker called management and had to be taken aside to calm him down. I felt bad for the fitting room staff at closing the other day. I work stocking for apparel overnight so the customer asked me to get into the fitting rooms. I told her I didn't have keys so I would see about getting her help. I took literally 2 minutes because they insist on associates checking times. The fitting room associates came back to organize the fitting room desk after dropping the keys in the safe. She went off on them. They had to call a manager because they didn't have keys. She's yelling at them the whole time. They start matching energy. Good news is the manager asked me what happened because I saw the whole thing since I was stocking men's socks and pants.
"charged with a malicious harassment based upon race charge" that is also a hate crime, right? Because that's what I'd have considered what she did as... Also, good. Glad she didn't get just a regular assault charge.
It really astounds me on how people actually do this kind of this shit. I cant even muster up the courage to ask for a fork, while some granny is slapping people out here.
What astounds me is how they're so confident and comfortable mistreating workers who TOUCH THEIR FOOD! Don't bite the hand that feeds you lol does everyone spit or fuck with drinks or food? I for sure fell out of love with my ex girlfriend eventually because going out to eat was exhausting! I felt like a dancing clown trying to make up for her rude behavior and tone, I must have looked so crazy like bending over backwards to be, frankly insanely kind. Like my gf would order them to list all the ingredients in some dishes and then proceed to order some dish she made up by combining the ingredients of several dishes, all in the most entitled tone of voice, and id be out there like fanning the server with palm fronds and delivering cocktails to them with a speedo and bowtie out of nowhere. Finally in a lightbulb moment it hit me that how she treated servers, coupled with the way her parents viewed wealth, and her upper middle class affluence ... the systems were flashing red "she's the enemy, she's there enemy" and I peaced the hell out. Never looked back.
So...I've been working in tech-support for almost 5 years now. I am often so dumbfounded by the toxic cocktail of sheer stupidity and entitlement of customers in general. The fact that it's over the phone is a luxury I got to appreciate, while working on the ground face to face. These people don't have the luxury to just hang up, when the customer crosses the line. You get to gage the state of humanity, by simply observing, how people treat other people who are serving them. I walked out smiling and called after her. I said, “Ma’am” about 3 times loudly and she wouldn’t turn around. I finally said, “you forgot your ID.” She froze in the parking lot, and sent her friend back to get it from me. I told her friend to have a great day with a huge smile on my face.
On the last video: always press charges. As someone who works at starbucks, I always make sure to hand the card back as soon as I can bc I never want them to think I’m doing what the other starbucks worker was doing in the video. I can’t even fathom trying to steal a customers card info regardless of how they treat me.
Is this a USA thing ? We always give the interact machine to the customer unless they ask for help. In my country you aren't allowed handling people's cards. Gift cards and credit/debit card.
I had to ask the cashier to remove two sodas from the transaction because the sign said they were 99¢ and they turned out to be $5.99 each and I felt SO embarrassed bro. I could never cause a scene like these people and truly don’t understand why they haven’t figured out being nice to people means they will probably be more willing to help you
okay the parent making fun of the mcdonald's worker pissd me off. I worked at mcdonald's as a teen, starting at 14, and was treated like absolute garbage by *so many* full grown adult customers. shameful.
Working in service made me give up on humanity. Both customer and higher management really think they're entitled to everything while they make you feel like beggars.
I would never be able to keep my job while being treated like this. I’d loose my mind on these people. Especially the woman in the bad wig throwing signs at McDonalds.
I had to move away from customer service because people are getting worse and worse. I can't control my face and sometimes my mouth, so I had to get out of that profession 😂🤣
Likewise. Still in the game but it's gotten me into trouble. I can't act worth a shit. But my conduct and demeanor are always good. I do my job well and treat my customers with respect. It makes anyone who blows up on me look insane, and while it is stressful, I can take solace in that I'm infinitely better than them by virtue of being a decent person.
I swear some people really need to work customers service, see how they like being harassed over little things. Might teach them some manners and empathy, the audacity of some these Karen and Kyle’s.
You should also talk about the recent increase of memes just bothering work retail service, especially those on takeout. There's so many that are just filming themselves being assholes to fast food takeout workers and it being shown in meme compilations.
So at the last video, I'm definetely pressing charges. She keeps saying sorry, yet I don't believe it for one second. She could be sorry and scared of the consequences, but I don't believe it. I would continue to press charges to scare her out of doing it ever again and hopefully her parents will also punish her as well. If I were to drop the charges then, I would fear she would do this to someone else and me not folliowing through with pressing charges, I would feel really bad I didn't take action and press charges IF she were to do this to someone else. I'm not mad at the lady for not dropping the charges and getting on her in front of her manager, hopefullly her parents will take note of their daughter and the consequences she'll have to go through.
Not to mention she should not be in a job that handles such sensitive information, period, and the only way that'll happen is if there is a record of it...
This thing of handing over the credit card to someone is so foreign to me (which I realized quickly was the norm in the US), in many countries including my own, you hold onto your card and swipe it yourself on the machine/pos, no matter where you are (restaurant, bar, retail store etc). Nobody just asks you to hand them the credit/debit card for the payment. It's obvious anyone could take a copy in a sec if they wanted to. 🤷♀️
I worked retail pharmacy for 3 years. I was usually able to calm people down if there was a hang up with getting their prescriptions ready on time or if we were out of stock, but I did have one lady threaten me because her insurance was having to prior-authorization something. I asked my pharmacist to step in on that one. I once had a guy yell at me through the drive-thru for 15 minutes because the company I worked for was sending him messages about his prescriptions and he wanted them to pay his phone bill. I explained to him how to cancel getting the messages and just let him rant. Eventually he ran out of steam, apologized, and just said he was having a bad day. Some people see retail workers as legitimate targets to unleash their anger on.
me having a bad day: accepts my order made wrong and goes home after telling everyone to have a good day and smiling karens after getting the correct order made fresh: screeches incoherently
She's 19. You bet your ass I'm pressing Charges!! Someone who's 19 should know copying a Credit Card to steal from is Wrong! If they were younger I'll let it slide, since they probably will change when they're older, but 19?!
@@ryanslack2666 At 19 you already know stealing someone's Credit Card is a Horrible choice to make. At 16 you start to gain some financial responsibilities by working retail, fast-food, and some other things. So in my opinion, a 19 year old is old enough, and too old to bring in Age as an Excuse. Just like a 20 year old Driving Down the Freeway at High Velocities is old enough to know they shouldn't be going that fast. There's a reason why for certain crimes you're tried as every other adult by 18.
on the topic of businesses trying to blow things off because its “bad for business”, it really pisses me off at times. at my work, a coworker of mine who i loved working with, she had been there for like five years, was sprayed with bear mace in our parking lot as she was coming in for her shift. the police did nothing about it, and neither did our store. because the person who maced her and her husband was someone who came in regularly, they refused to do anything about it. she ended up quitting not long after and it made me so sad as she was so fun to work with. not only that, but our managers STILL wanted her to work her shift after the incident. i saw her face when she came in after it had happened and it was horrible. i felt so bad for her and the whole scenario still makes me so angry.
Or ya know, just make it yourself 😂😂 my family been making our own garlic butter spread and toasting it on regular bread for years. And honestly it’s so much better than the stuff at restaurants.
Worked at the cafe In target from time to time. This woman comes to the counter with her daughter (kid was probably 11 or 12) I was busy cleaning up in the back area. This woman really started to slap the counter talkin about “HELLO?!” Her daughter asked for a soft pretzel, her mother proceeds to talk MAD shit about how our pretzels are nothing compared to the ones in the mall. COMPLETELY UNPROVOKED. People are wild.
When I used to waitress, we'd often get guys who were gross, and would leer at you or make sexual comments. One of our waitresses was 16 at the time and an older man tried to smack her ass. My boss, usually wildly accommodating to customers, physically picked him up, carried him out of the restaurant, set him on the sidewalk and told him he'd be setting him down in traffic next if he ever saw his face again 😅 it's a treasured memory of mine.
The Dunkin Donuts employee should have walked to the far end of the counter and put it down there instead of handing it to her. Made her walk to get it. 😂
YEP, she's not really sorry. You kind of have to press charges for her next and past victims.

My 17 year old brother works for a coffee shop and is one of the most easygoing, kind, and respectful person I’ve ever met… somehow he always gets yelled at by customers.. praying for y’all in the service industry fr 😭😭
LMAO FR THO
You're very funny. Thanks. I get bullied at the drive-through all of the time.
What astounds me is how they're so confident and comfortable mistreating workers who TOUCH THEIR FOOD! Don't bite the hand that feeds you lol does everyone spit or fuck with drinks or food? No most of the time they don't. But there's a population of workers who do. And the worst part is that you NEVER know who's the type to do it. Lol
@@leahalford5769 I used to work at a Jack in the Box when I was 17 and some guy ordered a really big order which we needed time to make so I asked him to move his car up bc the food for the person behind him was ready but he refused saying that he wanted to stay in the shade, after repeating myself a few times he started calling me a dumb b*tch and some other things so I left to cool off and I cried a little, my coworker noticed this and proceeded to spit in all 6 burgers the guy ordered and didn't tell me until after. It's definitely something I would never do myself but it happened. This shows that not only the person you insult can ruin your food, but anyone in the kitchen is capable of it.
Want to get a good idea of a person's true character, look at how they treat the average service worker.
yup.

Never looked back.

dON'T WE JUST love when people trim the videos to make themselves look innocent. 12:40
We are just deteriorating as a society, and it all started by cuddling such assholes feelings just to make a living.
Nah, it started with whyte supremacist narcissism that is still rampant … look at the stealing , killing, and destroying of other countries where the Us military occupies to “bring democracy” .
"We are just deteriorating as a society"? Wouldn't go THAT far, mate - don't forget people literally OWNED SLAVES not all that long ago and given that the majority of 'Karens' are middle-aged+, seems society is going in a more empathetic direction, after all. Also - not all of "society" is the U.S.
@@izstrella Just because it's not as obvious on the surface doesn't mean the foundations of society aren't crumbling. You can't see air, afterall.

Literally had a uber eats driver yelling at all of us cause her entitled spoiled ass couldn't wait when everyone else had to wait as well. Our screens were full we were slammed crazy to the point i was running around had sweat dripping in my eyes and in my mouth. Eyes are burning at that point. i’ve never understood that there was an old guy who was acting mad disrespectful towards me at my job and I literally told him do not disrespect me and he wanted to call corporate on me because I’m trying to correct nasty behavior mind you he is at least 60 years old and my manager was standing there he thought it was funny
I worked for a popular pizza company. We remember the karens. If you have an online account, or order over the phone, we can make private notes about you on your account. You treated me like shit yesterday? Looks like you're getting the small, shitty chicken strips on your next order. I had someone open their pizza and rub it all over the counter. Boom. Lifetime ban.
Edit: more petty things I did to Karen's.
1) You get one less pepperoni on your pizza. They won't know, but I do.
2) all of your slices are cut, bar 2, that are stuck together.
3) one of your slices will have an unreasonable amount of sauce.

I loved reading this 😂 I’m a hostess at a restaurant, and we usually have a pretty long waitlist on Saturday nights. Sometimes customers are major assholes to us over a wait time that we can’t control, so once their table comes available we wait an extra 5 minutes to notify them
When I knew I was ready to get out of bartending/food service, I got real snarky. This was a conversation I had with customers daily:
Me: Hey, how’s it going?
Customer: Diet Coke
Me: Yeah, that’s not what I asked.

"Hi welcome to [fast food chain inserted here] what c-"
"Diet coke. That's it."

I cried my whole break in the managers office because I had never been treated so nicely before at work. So guys be nice to people who work with food. It's already hot and loud in there and we are all at our limit.
Bruh I just had this lady yell at us because we told her she was standing in the wrong place to check out, she screamed that it was so unfair to her and stormed out the store-
(Ps I quit my job the same week, I was done with that crap honestly)
fair enough honestly I had this lady and HER FRIENDS literally yell at me (to the point where other customers sitting down were looking at us) because the night before she didn't get her coffee because we were about to close and I was like bro it's not my fault that you didn't get your coffee last night you should've done something about it last night and not tonight?
The "I'm sorry" credit card thief might have started to confess because the lady in the drive through pulled up with the most intense mom voice ever 😂
false confessions are actually more common than legitimate confession. she probably just wanted the beached whale out of her drive through.

She may be a credit card theif, but there's one thing she is not and that sir is a liar 😂
Fr I KNEW the Starbucks worker got war flashbacks
it is so absolutely mind boggling to me how people come to the conclusion that 1) their order being messed up MUST be because we hate them and want them to starve, 2) that yelling and threatening us is the only way they can possibly get the correct order, and 3) any circumstances that could have caused the mix up (short staffed, new employees that are still training, etc.) do not exist and the staff is automatically malicious. how do people end up this miserable and cruel
I used to work retail. I had this Karen (around my age - mid twenties) flip out because her check wouldn’t go through. She had to hand me her ID before the check became an issue. She flipped out on me, and told me it was my fault, and cussed me out. I stood there and let her do her thing. She stormed off and ran out the door. I still had her ID.
If someone stole your credit card information at their own workplace, they seem really comfortable with stealing from people and clearly dont expect to get caught. She most likely did not do that the first time, and expected to get off with an apology, maybe that worked before.
When my brother and I were kids, people would be shocked by our politeness. I didn’t understand this until going out with my classmates. Now that I’m working, I understand more than ever. A polite kid will make your day.
Same! My mom told my siblings and I when we would get candy/a drink at the grocery store, and say "please" and "thank you" to the cashier, they would comment about how polite we were. And one time, one of our aunts laughed when we thanked her for giving us each a dollar, saying her kids would have pitched a fit. I remember being super confused as to why she thought it was funny.

Yo, my grandma would never behave like this. When you think of the most sweetest little old southern lady.. You're picturing my grandma. I've watched her seconds after shattering the entire right side of her face thank strangers repeatedly and then tell all the doctors she was fine and the surgeons not to make a fuss over her. She had to have her jaw wired shut for a full 16 weeks and never once made a single complaint. Less than a year later shattered her left heel, same thing. She could have someone spit in her face and her thank the person. Anyway my point is no.. no I cannot imagine my grandma behaving like that. Shameful.
Aww your grandma sounds lovely but I did have to laugh when you said she had her jaw wired shut for 16 weeks and didn't complain 😂 she couldn't could she? I'm just messing though, it was just the wording of it that sounded funny.
Edit, I'd draw the line at thanking someone for spitting in my face. There's being a nice, polite person and there's being a total pushover. Sounds like she could do with being a little bit more confident in standing up for herself. My grandma was a very polite woman, devout Catholic, never swore, never smacked us as kids, was lovely to everyone but she wouldn't take any shit from anyone. As someone who works at starbucks, I always make sure to hand the card back as soon as I can bc I never want them to think I’m doing what the other starbucks worker was doing in the video. I can’t even fathom trying to steal a customers card info regardless of how they treat me.
I don't go to Starbucks, why do you take the card?? I work retail and have only held a customers card when asked to assist.
Is this a USA thing ? We always give the interact machine to the customer unless they ask for help. In my country you aren't allowed handling people's cards. Gift cards and credit/debit card.

That First lady would have caught hands if I witnessed that
I worked retail pharmacy for 3 years.

At 19 you already know stealing someone's Credit Card is a Horrible choice to make.
