    I appreciate your humbleness & vulnerability in your goaltending quest. There is valuable content for both the viewer & yourself- that’s always a win! Thank you for posting & good luck this week.

    Some great insight on the overlap, something I need to work on my stance

    I wish I started recording my games earlier. It's amazing how much you can learn from watching and sharing your videos.

      Yeah totally! I've only been recording for almost a year now and it's helped alot. Now that you've literally got almost all angles covered i bet you're learning alot too ! :)

      I need more cameras and more angles! Maybe I need to have someone fly a drone while I play lol. Beer leagues allow drones right?

    If you would have pulled that save at 2:46, which you almost did, would have been sick man.

    I always feel fine when I do drills and move during games and it’s always an unpleasant surprise seeing how I actually move lol

    I had the same 'ah-ha!' moment maybe a couple months ago. I had noticed my pads were in an overlap and how fast I could drop! I made the same connection as a fellow goalie friend had told me "to bring my knees together to drop faster". Golden moments!

      My coach always told me it comes to the small details, the smallest things make the biggest difference. It's one thing to know what to do, the other challenge is actually getting the brain to do it on the ice lol

    As someone who only started playing goal last year as a beginner adult, I appreciate your videos. Keep up the good work!

    You've improved so much! Your pad slides and RVH went from non existent to this?! Awesome. From what I can see - if you aggressively position for your rebounds you'd stop one or two more. Great videos. I follow a lot of goalie content but your humble, growth-mindset approach is unique. Good luck this season!

      Thanks! Its been alot of struggle and hard work to get to where I am, but lots of room to improve! My rebounds lately have been horrid will take your advice and try to position a bit more aggressively!

    Had a bit of a stretch a couple weeks ago. Main squad had a bye week. I ended up working on mobility and stuff more at home and watched a bunch of goalie vids to stay sharp. Didn’t work lol since I lost my first game back after the break but I like to think the mobility work at least did me some good.

      i think when it comes to office mobility stretching etc its more of a long term impact than immediate. Keep it up! See tons of improvement in your game already!

    Glad I found you. I’m in a similar situation. 47 and going from roller to ice. It’s been a crazy challenge. Where are you located?

    what are you using to record? I'm guessing you gave some sort of a suction cup attached to a camera at both ends of the ice?

    • @ovr40goalie
      @ovr40goalie  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup so I use Joby gorilla suction mounts, they just suction onto the glass. I'm trying to find time to get footage of how I set them up, but it's pretty straightforward. Just get a suction mount for your action camera (you could even mount your phone if you're adventurous)
