    GOD tests us all the time but I think the test come up when we comfortable in our everyday living. GOD wants to know that we as HIS children love HIM with our whole heart and willing to obey HIM in every situation or circumstances. And even though some our situations or circumstances make us uncomfortable is our FAITH strong enough to know that GOD is right there with us. Thanks so much! I can listen to you everyday 😊

    Hello Again!!! Just finished reading chapter 6 on both my Life Application NIV bible and my She Reads Truth CSB Bible and I loved the significance that chapter 6 held. I wrote down in both my bible and study journal that we should all strive to be like Noah, he wasn’t perfect but his faith and obedience never waiver. In V9 it stated that Noah was righteous and Blameless. I picked up on the fact that the Bible did not say that Noah was perfect. He probably sinned just like all of us but the difference I saw in Noah was that he was loyal, obedient, and he listened to God. Noah and God had a wonderful relationship as you can see here in V22 that Noah did everything God Asked of him. Another thing I noticed is that God revealed how patient he was in V3- he noticed that mortals (humans) were corrupt and allowed them 120 years to change their ways and live a life that was pleasing to him, when those 120 years ran out, those who didn’t change were affected by the floodwaters. And an interesting fact that I learned about the Nephilians were that they were giants (probably ancestors to Goliath, that’s what was stated in my Life Application bible within the study notes), when I read that they were 9 or 10 ft tall I was amazed, to say the least. Thank you again for this lesson!!! See you over in Chapter 7🙌🏾

    Loving these videos, even though they're 2 yrs old now. God's Word never gets old! I think that the sons of God are the righteous descendants of Seth. Angels (fallen or not) don't marry according to Mark 12:25. I believe we are sons and daughters of God when we accept Him as our Father 🙏

    First I would like to say I spent a lot of time on this chapter. I got the understanding of the message but didn't get the understanding of all the details. Took me awhile to realize that it was ok not to understand all the details. The more I studied the more I got different answers. I finally realized that if after thousands of years there is no decisive answer I clearly wasn't going to come up with the answer. Lol
    Second I'm obviously no expert in the Bible but I originally believed 120 years also meant the life span of man but I now believe God was saying that he was going to give man 120 years to repent and be saved from the coming judgement (flood). And after 120 years there was still only Noah and his family. That's just my take on the 120 years but again this is one of those details I mentioned earlier. I would like to hear others takes on this.
    Lastly I think you did an excellent job on a chapter that has a lot of unknown details. I'm slowly learning I will never understand all of it and ultimately it doesn't matter... Jesus is coming back and that we do know. Keep up the good work and I look forward to chapter 7.

      Very nice again on disecting the info...God Bless you and sanctify you...the 120 years is very accurate in that God thought that giving Adam 900 yrs or his children 800 or 700 years , was going to change them , but it didn't , so it makes sense to not give Man long years if they were not gonna repent .God wants the best for us always , cutting man 's longevity is an Act of Mercy , imagine living with the addiction of any sin 900 years? .it's funny in our middle Eastern arabic culture,, the way we wish people Happy bday is we say literally "May you make it to 120 years". It took 100 years for Noah to build the Ark..can you imagine the sheer amount of manpower and am sure people helped him around the clock to gather wood and shape it into an Ark...there was no Home Depot back then... hehe..Wow...but Noah am sure was like God? Is there no easier way for me to get saved from this flood ? Me and my family? But God had that plan in mind so Noah experiences and shares first hand the road to his salvation...we are called to build our own Arks , walk with the Lord...the Cross and the Ark are made of wood, we definitely build and carry our cross if we need to be Saved...even the details of the Ark , how Noah was to enter from the side, reminds me how Jesus was pierced on his side on the cross...amazing Chapter , so much meanings ...Am finding am spending lots of study and reading between the lines in Genesis ..Praise and Glory to God always

    Something I found interesting was the change that God felt towards man. In Genesis 1:31 he was proud and happy with his creation then in Genesis 6:6 his heart was troubled and he began to regret the creation of man. To which he debated destroying everything.

      You would think Man would change his ways..after the flood..He is seen the wrath of God ...and yet no fear toward God ...as much as we should rejoice in God's blessings in our lives , as much more we should fear him so we don't upset him, and be the cause of his sorrow due to our actions ..God help us and have Mercy on Us

So I decided to watch it again today, not while I was laying in bed for sleep and I believe that was God’s plan to me because I had a test from God between these times and I see now I failed it. I am not sure about what I am about to say, but I was also researching that Nephilim word and judging from the websites I found, I just figured that, maybe they were the offspings of humans and the angels that God had sent to earth who have become wicked because, my bible says 'Some of the heavenly beings saw that these young women were beautiful, so they took the ones they liked'.
    You said that the word Nephilim is related to the word naphal, which means fall. What if it actually means 'fallen angels'?

    I did some reading on Gen 6:2 as well. There are 3 main interpretations that I read:
    1. The “sons of God” we’re fallen angels who took human wives. While it seems crazy to think about in our day and age, anytime we see “sons of God” in the OT it is referring to angels. Examples are Job 1:6 and Job 38:7.
    2. The “sons of God” were men from Cains lineage who married women from Seth’s lineage. However, they go back to the fact that the phrase “sons of God” doesn’t refer to men anywhere else in the OT.
    3. The “sons of God” were descendants from people like Lamech who participated in polygamy (a sin). But again they bring up the fact that man is not referred to as “sons of God”
    These are all from the women’s study bible by Thomas Nelson.

    • @jessicaferrell7946
      @jessicaferrell7946 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is also an interesting paragraph in this study bible for 6:3. It says that while some interpret it as the shortening of the human life span, it could also be referring to the length of time before the flood took place. So the span between when God told Noah to build the ark and the actual flood.

    • @larrymoore2571
      @larrymoore2571 ปีที่แล้ว

      'Who are sons of God? The answer is in
      ~ Romans 8:14; "For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."
      Are angels ever called sons of God?
      ~ Hebrews 1: 3-5; “When He (Jesus) had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a 'MORE EXCELLENT NAME' than they (What name is more excellent than that of the angels?). For to which of the angels did He ever say, “YOU ARE MY SON, (Son is the name more excellent than the angels, so why do people insist that 'sons of God' are angels?).
      ~ Is it possible the Job passages of 'sons of God' are actually Godly men?
      ~ Job 1: 3-5; When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and CONSECRATE them (Job's sons), rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, “Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus, Job did continually. Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. The LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”
      (Summary)
      ~ Job and his sons (Godly men 'sons of God') are 'CONSECRATED', presenting themselves before God with burnt offerings (sacrifices) for forgiveness of sin. Satan was among them on earth. God asked Satan and he said he was on earth. The next four verses Satan describes Job’s hedge of protection, his blessings and riches etc. Satan has been there with Job.
      ~ This isn't angels presenting themselves to God in heaven, this is Job on earth, with his sons called ‘sons of God’.
      Consecrate: to induct a person into permanent office with a religious rite i.e., to ordain the office of Bishop. To make or declare sacred, to devote irrevocably to the worship of God by a solemn ceremony.
      ~ This next passage is NOT a historical account of creation but a poetic allegory with much symbolism unless God actually has the earth supported by a physical foundation and cornerstone. Where there is symbolism look for Jesus.
      ~ Job 38:6-7; Or who ‘LAID’ its 'CORNERSTONE'?
      'WHEN' the morning stars sang together
      and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
      ~ What is the 'cornerstone' or who is the ‘cornerstone’? JESUS
      ~ 'WHEN' was the 'cornerstone' laid? AT PENTECOST WHEN THE CHURCH BEGAN.
      ~ Isaiah 28:16; "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am 'LAYING' in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly ‘CORNERSTONE’ for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed."
      ~ Zachariah 10:3-4; "For the LORD of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah and will make them like His majestic horse in battle. “From them 'WILL COME' the ‘CORNERSTONE’."
      ~ Who are the morning stars? ANGELS
      ~ Revelation 1:20; “As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven ‘STARS ARE ANGELS’ of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches."
      ~ Who are the sons of God shouted for joy? GODLY MEN
      A word search in the Bible for ‘shout for joy, shouted for joy, shouting for joy’ reveals: 'people' shouting for joy 32 times, 'nature' (hills, meadows trees etc.) 2 times, and 'angels' shouting for joy 0 times (if Job 38 is angels, then that would be angels 1, people 31, nature 2).

    To answer your question, Bujo, Nephilm are Giants aka mighty men of reknown.
    Anyway, great job with this lecture on Genesis 6. You had me smiling comparing the time with Nephilms to Game of Thrones. I also like what you said in how to be as righteous
    as Noah by doing things that please God, not the world. And no I don't think it looks weird to serve God. Anyone that thinks it's odd to do what God tells us to do are people that don't get it.
    My favorite scripture was Genesis 6:5. Reading that scripture, I asked myself how is this world today any different than what it is back then? The Earth is still corrupt and it's still filled with violence.
    It never changed ever, and it won't be either until the test of time. It's depressing and deflating. There are so many bad people than good people here.
    I also liked Genesis 6:9 about what made Noah being righteous. That scripture mirrors Genesis 1:27 about being the image of God in a nutshell, and you illustrate it so well in mentioning 6:22

    • @BibleBujo
      @BibleBujo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes - people who think that it's weird to serve God are those of the world. They don't understand and that's okay 😊. I also get sad when I think about how destructive the world is. Thank you so much for these videos. They are very helpful. I just started reading the Bible and watching your videos has helped a lot.
    I do have a question and if anyone is reading this comment I want to hear your opinion or clarification on this- in V2 it says the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful. Why is there a difference between humans and the sons of God?

    • @larrymoore2571
      @larrymoore2571 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JanetAlexia You will find many YT videos that falsely claim the 'sons of God' are always angels.
      God's definition of sons of God can be found here:
      ~ Romans 8:14; "For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."
      Everyone is born into sin but there were some people that put their faith and trust in God here in Genesis 4:26: "Then people began to call upon the name of the LORD," These people were the sons of God that were seeking God and wanting to be led by His Spirit. However the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh took over when these once Godly people coveted the beautiful ungodly pagan daughters of men (unbelievers).
      ~ Gen 6:1-3; Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the 'SONS OF GOD' saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
      Then the LORD said, “My 'SPIRIT' shall not 'ABIDE' WITH MAN FOREVER, because he also is flesh; however, his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
      These 'sons of God' had 'fallen away' out of favor with God. God will not share His glory or worship with false idols.
      Nephilim, Hebrew definition= Fallen ones. The Greek Septuagint (LXX) translation defined Nephilim as gigantes (giants) many centuries later.
      ~ Psalm 53:2-3; “God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all ‘FALLEN AWAY’; together they have become corrupt;
      there is none who does good, not even one.”
      This scripture helps us to understand Genesis 6:
      ~ Deuteronomy 7:3-4; "Furthermore, you shall not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor shall you take their daughters for your sons. For they will turn your sons away from following Me to serve other gods; Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and He will quickly destroy you."
      This is my personal beliefs on this issue, but some claims are quite outlandish and are not supported in scripture.
      God Bless and look up

    Many versions of the Bible state that “God repented”. Repent means to turn/change of direction. So yes God can repent
    Also if the Word says men shall not live more than 120 years then it is so. I don’t beeline anyone lived past 120 years God is not a man that He shall not lie.
