Not true, which is why Johnson was in a panic. Shutdowns cost the taxpayers and disrupts services. When Trump did it, TSA decided not to go to work because who wants to work for free? Can’t pay bills without an income. Cause a lot of problems for travelers. Furloughed workers will get paid eventually for time spent at home, so it’s not like you are saving taxpayer’s money. Furloughed workers got paid $4 billion to stay home. Trump and Cruz looked dumb for screwing up people’s vacation plans.

Shut it down
As a government employee victim of a government shutdown in the late 90's at first it scared me. But my superiors told me that we would be paid and consider it a vacation. We booked a trip to Hawaii because they have to give you a weeks notice to go back to work. We had a great time while on vacation.
@@rogerschroeder8905furloughs can be great if you have money and credit. It can be stressful if you have to go to work like the TSA.A lot of them refused to go to work, which I thought good for them. You can’t pay for childcare, rent, etc so why make it easier on the republicans.
