    Really enjoyed this episode. You need to get Mrs M in front of the camera more often, she has a very relaxed and friendly presentation style.

    I hear years of experience speaking here. Prior to your questions Gyverny looked kind of uncomfortable, but the moment you started asking specific questions, she came into her element and owned the video. You can see she knows what she is talking about, not because she learned it, but because she has dealt with guests for such a long time. You cannot beat experience ! It is almost like I am looking at Lora (you know who) speaking, also shy in areas she does not know, but a master in her field. Am 100 % sure you guys can give the clients the ultimate experience simply by having so many years of experience in the business. Good informative video. If we would ever be able to charter a yacht we would do it via you guys, for now we will just stay on our own Endless Summer.

    Tristan thanks so much for this most informative video on booking a yacht vacation. It is so nice to see Giv again as we have missed her inputs & smiles. She did an amazing job on this video with her extensive knowledge in regards to vacationing on a S/Y. You asked just the right questions & between you both I found this to be one of your best videos. Question on the V.A.T., is the rate based on, the flag State of the yacht, country the charter company is enacting the charter contract from, or the country in which the charter begins?
    Thanks in advance

      Good question. Also, 10% gratuity per crew member or to crew as a whole to be disbursed by the Captain?

    • @SuperYachtCaptain
      @SuperYachtCaptain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The VAT amount is based on the country the you start the charter in. ie Croatia would be 13%

    • @SuperYachtCaptain
      @SuperYachtCaptain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 10-20% gratuity is in total. Not per crew member. The 10-20% is divided amongst all crew.

    Brilliant presentation and information. Totally enjoy your videos over the past years.
    Just one query, especially after news item related to cruise ship. Visas, permits for each country charter might visit. Is this made clear in your documents and communication as to legal documents required when travelling and who holds these passport, documents while on charter.
    Looking forward to more fantastic videos.

    • @SuperYachtCaptain
      @SuperYachtCaptain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course the clients are responsible for their travel visas and copies will need to be sent to the Broker & Captain. The yacht is responsible for all permits and to comply with local regulations of the charter cruising area. Usually once onboard, the guests passports are kept in the Captain's safe.

    Can you maybe say what sorts of payments you have to do like Tex, chartering the yacht , foods, etc. give an example how much you pay for each things

    • @SuperYachtCaptain
      @SuperYachtCaptain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't understand your question. It's all explained in the video. As for amounts, it depends on the yacht the client chooses and the type of food they want etc.

    • @jondonron
      @jondonron 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you list all sorts of payments a person has to do when charging a yacht like a fuel,tax, food etc.

    • @jondonron
      @jondonron 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe give an example like five days trip to St. Tropez fuel cost will be 20 K you eat two evenings In a restaurants this will cost you to 2k for 10 people
      The Yacht charter will cost you 100 K

    • @SuperYachtCaptain

      Our Mediterranean locations are all over (Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Turkey, Malta etc). Depending on dates and availability Tel Aviv could be possible.

    Do the crew rate the clients back to the brokers. In other words would crews be not recommending certain clients to other crews?

    How are unused provisions resolved?

    • @SuperYachtCaptain
      @SuperYachtCaptain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For high cost of items, clients can take them on disembarking, shipping can be arranged and in some cases we’ve stored (wines, champagne etc) for clients that can be used on their charter the following year. A lot of the time, if the clients had an amazing trip, they’ll leave it for the crew as an extra thank you. 🙂
