All Spurgeon's wrestling with Almighty God's Spirit and himself
along with The accusations of Scriptures pinned to the soul with ease
whereas the PROMISES of God SCRITPURE were made as slippery as a jellied eel,
along with those sudden assaults on His mind by Satan with blasphemies -
ALL these were all the mysterious workings of God
convicting and convincing Him of Sin to the eventual good of His Soul....
Read Bunyan's GRACE ABOUNDING (which we have read incidentally this Channel)
God surely does move in mysterious ways!
But Thanks be to The Lord in this case,
He always moves to Glorify His Name
by Good to the man
in the saving of His soul!
"I know not how the Spirit moves,
convincing us of sin,
revealing Jesus through the Word,
creating faith in him.
[Refrain]
But “I know whom I have believed,
and am persuaded that he is able
to keep that which I’ve committed
unto him against that day."
