I'm surprised there is no mention of needing anchors if the screws are not placed in the studs. It wouldn't take long for the screws to be pulled out of the drywall if not in the studs or an anchor.
Whats the standard practice if you have mounding around the window but want to mount on the outside of the frame? I can't hang mine on the inside of the frame because the window is too shallow.
I have molding and a window sill too, and ordered an outside mount. I didn't receive it yet though. I figure I will need to use blocks of wood under the mounting brackets to get it further away from the wall such that the shade goes over the molding and window sill when it is lowered down. I hope it doesn't look weird being farther away from the window. We shall see.

you should update the videos to include the actual brackets that come with the shades.
Why is there no information for windows which have trim around them? Most houses have windows with trim.
If you look you will find videos, as I did. Or follow same instructions as video but drill into flat trim

Exactly my thoughts as I go to install mine.
Unless you have a weird window it will be framed all around with studs.
It's a window opening. How would there not be studs framing it?!
Generally all window openings have two studs on either side and a solid header above.
Cannot tell if the screws actually hit studs or not but I can tell that if they did, not much of that 3/4" screw is in wood.
