      I agree! That was such an awesome set and hard to get! They sold that pack a couple of times. It sold out immediately. I hope they bring it back again! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👌

    Seeing you use the old microphone triggered a few vague memories in my 47-year-old brain, lol! Still don’t remember using it all that often though. I think because I used to act out voices all the time and came up with my own stuff that often sounded better than what the microphone was able to produce that it was kind of useless for me. I still think for the most part this version of Snake Mountain is near perfect for Origins. The new features really help to make it more of a “play” set rather than simply a display piece.
    The size is just fine, as far as I’m concerned. The Classics Snake Mountain was ginormous! Honestly, I can’t really see the practicality of having such an immense play set that is the size of a mini-house! (Edit: I said that and yet also backed the Eternia play set…still have no idea what I’m gonna do with it!) The average person doesn’t have that kind of spare living space, and if you have children, forget it, they’ve already got toys in every corner of the house! 😂 If you do want a towering monstrosity of a fortress and collectors are into them, the Eternia Minis (which do have some articulation) would probably also work very well. It’s pretty much a dead line at this point, but I have a few of them. They were kind of difficult to find in stores, but I did manage to pick up Battle Armor He-Man, Battle Armor Skeletor, Stratos, Evil-Lyn, and all five from the first Revelation wave.

      Thanks for stopping in as always to check out this update or Q&As to the first video. I was getting a bunch of questions about the first video on certain things that I tried to show or answer in this video. The Vintage Microphone looks cool once again in hand. But as far as using it for this Snake Mountain, it's just purely a suggestion for the nastalgia..it's absolutely not practical today. If you want the Snake mountain to make voices and talk, then just use Bluetooth speakers and a smartphone.
      I love looking at that classics playset and size. The Origins looks great on it! But again, it's also not practical because of space and cost. You see, the room mine takes up with my other stuff. That's a back part of the garage. I also preordered the Eternia! Like yourself! I have no idea where it's going and even how I want to review mine without turning the video into two hours! It's gonna be lots of editing cuts! Yes, the mini motu figures can work well on the Origins Snake Mountain, too. So can the Lego figures and many other small figures toy lines. I just showed a few examples of what I had!

    Hopefully a Fright Zone with interior functions as they did with Snake Mountain.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm sure it will! The fright zone was smaller and much simpler as far as accessories and action features. The grabbing tree was the weakest and most complicated piece..so it would be interesting to see how they go about that! Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👌

    • @scockery
      @scockery ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Themanchlid What I like, they probably wouldn't do, is if the tree branches were all removable and compatible with Origins arm sockets.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scockery I have a feeling the tree branches might be door plastic or possibly pegs like you mentioned. I'm not even sure it would keep the action features. The fright zone tree has the biggest issues today when getting the vintage one online somewhere.

    • @scockery
      @scockery ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Themanchlid Yeah, that plastic looks brittle, but I thought the dragon/snake puppet was the biggest issue. They dry out and tear and crumble. It's funny to see people use some modern snake toy/puppet for a replacement monster.
      I never owned a Fright Zone.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scockery Yeah the tree plastic was a terrible design. But then again! It's 40 years old now. When I picked upnthis Fright zone, I had to do some custom work and repairs as I mentioned. It didn't come with the puppet. Most of those are ripped or have problems. I wasn't even gonna bother trying to find a good one. I just bought that 3d customized one. It was still cheaper than finding a good vintage puppet on ebay.

      @Themanchlid  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for taking the time to check out this update review and sharing your thoughts! Yeah, I picked up a vintage microphone on eBay just for the nastalgia. It's not really a practical piece today with this set when you can get Blu tooth Mini Speakers and use a smartphone for sound effects or the microphone. The micro figures or any small-scale figures look cool on this Playset. It makes it look much bigger. The overall details and design of this Origins Snake Mountain came out really good for the Origins line. I also think the Origins line is very well done!👍

      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I got a couple of questions about the Origins Greyskull and Origins Snake Mountain size. I never picked up the Origins Greyskull because of the Classics. I also wasn't gonna pick up the Origins Snake Mountain either because of the Classics. But I really liked the vintage Snake Mountain. So I did. I guess that's the only other question I can't answer! Bro, your videos can never be too long lol. You’re very thorough and I love how you go deep into swapping parts and creating new ideas. Spawn figures reminded me of something I wanted to ask. Are you doing a ninja spawn review?

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always appreciate your views and comments on my reviews, bro! Some people like to watch a long video. Many people do not or don't want to see everything I'm doing! I'm fine with that if certain people just want to drop in and see a couple of things rather than jet! But that hurts the algorithm when too many people do that, and TH-cam makes the video hard to find! It's a stupid Fkn game! Dude, that Ninga Spawn has been sitting on my review desk since I got him a couple of weeks ago. He was my first priority to review! But then all this Origins stuff is coming around, and those reviews are so much funner and do so much better on my channel than Mcfarlane figures. But he's on the list soon. I remember you asking me about that! My health problems are also getting in the way of doing too much stuff too long. But I'll try to get that spawn done over the weekend, bro!👍

    People gotta have realistic expectations for display playsets, Like you said, it would have to be like 7 feet tall to really be accurate , Using smaller figures does make both Snake Mountain sets look bigger, But I think Origins look fine on this new one, and also the Classics one, I did watch the other 1 hour video on this new one, it was like having a teacher explaining all of it's features and assembling after a while watching that video (lol) Cool to see your main figure room again.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for taking the time to check out the first video and this follow-up video! Yeah, the first video turned into a setup tutorial. Lol. Regarding some of the comments, some people thought this playset would be much larger for the Origins figures. I think it is a little taller than the vintage one. But realistically, the Origins weren't gonna design this playset too much larger. The only other options are to make it as big as the Classics or twice the size of it now. Or 7 to 8 feet tall, like the concept or filmation cartoon, in order to make it to scale with the Origins figures. Yeah, none of those choices are logical or affordable for most people who collect this stuff! I think most people are happy on the overall look and knew what to expect! But I was just offering another idea with small figures to set up on this playset for people who want one for the look and nastalgia but don't like its size and wished it was bigger. The other option is the Classics, like I showed! That set is about $2000 dollars on eBay now! It is not necessary for collecting Origins.

      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for stopping in to check out the following up video! As far as paint on my figures, it depends! The Fright Zone repairs were Model Color acrylic paint. Origins figures I also would use acrylic paint and a sealer. Everything else or other figures and accessories I use soray primer. Then, Testors enamel paint and then spray sealer. It really depends. I like the enamel paint best because it sticks to anything. But it's hard to work with and has to be painted in a well vetalated area.

      No, I skipped that Origins Greyskull! I wasn't gonna get the Origins Snake Mountain originally like I mentioned because of the Classics. But I liked The Vintage Snake Mountain a lot as a kid. So I picked it up! Thanks for stopping in already 👍

    So the snake can rotate at the base? If so can it not be rotated all the way to the right(lookin from the back), and then rotate the upper part and head to go around the other side of the peak? Maybe you need to temporarily remove the gate to make this work but it sure looks doable but I could be wrong

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I see or really look at. The snakes design and action features are set up for the left side. Going back to the vintage playset. There might be a way to customize and twist parts around to use it without the gate to the other side. But from what I see, it doesn't have enough length to be correct or look good like that. If they added a plug to connect it to the other side like I pointed out, then it would work. But even then, the articulation and way it's looking wouldn't look right from what I see .The directions also dosent give any indication or hints of adapting this to the right side looking at the front of the play set. Maybe once this playset comes around more, Mattel will make an update or show a way it's possible. But I don't see it without major customizing so far. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👌

      @@Themanchlid thanks for looking into this! Bummer since on their prototype there was a plug on the other side also but for some weird reason they removed it

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      @danield1262 No problem! That's interesting to know. I didn't even know about that in the prototype. I'm guessing they would have to make the snake also come apart easy and add additional parts to make it right-handed. Again, by twisting it all around. It still doesn't look right, putting it to the other side. Also, it's very heavy, and the plug connector is not very strong enough to be pulled that scale on and off to the left and right side if the playset was designed with two plugs.

    See the big difference in the bridge? The S7 versions bridge is tiny and looks like it's only for 3.75 figs

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Super7 bridge has a little different design than the origins! You can fit two or three figures on it together. But it's still small. It would definitely work well for 3.75 figures. Thanks for checking the review out!

      @@Themanchlid yeah it does. One would just think that everything on the classics version is bigger but that bridge is too smalll eve for origins figs

    Is it just the lighting or is SM origins not dark purple tone? Looks light purple

      I think it's the lighting. I had a photo light very close when filming. It has a mix. But definitely dark color tones in it. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍

    People should treat playsets as representations. It’s never going to be accurate to true life. It’s a nice representation/diorama for your figures. A bit like how Lego does their buildings, tiny rooms with little details

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! I think some people thought it would be a little bigger! The next size up is the Classics, and that's really big and expensive! Legos are a good example, as you mentioned! The Lego Motu figures would also look good on this playset, too!👍

    That snake and the cut in the monster face`s head are horrible.

      I think the design is going back to the filmation cartoon or what the Classics did but with articulation now.
