Considering how often Lexi has mentioned Redneck engineering in her DIWhy or ATBGE videos, I'm surprised Robin is handling this one tbh. But knowing Robin's tendencies, this should be good either way.

I can only imagine she'd go "yup... Works... Seen that... Yes..." To like 90%, hence the decision. Maybe?

I just want to say the neat thing about -40° is it doesn't matter if you use Fahrenheit or Celsius, it's the only temperature where they're the same. So, in both units: *IT'S COLD*

Those batteries (AAA, AA, C, D) are all 1.5 volts. There are things that you can buy online to plug a smaller battery into a larger socket.
You could use 6 AAA batteries in series (6 batteries x 1.5 volts per batt = a 9 volt source) to power a 9V device, like a smoke detector, with the right adapter.

    • @sakar181
      @sakar181 ปีที่แล้ว

Batteries in series are plus to minus, where +} is the positive side of the battery with the nub, and [- is the negative flat side, like this:

7:28 if this is your situation, put mass on the burners: the volume will heat and preserve the heat and radiate from more square inch surface area; steam expands and spreads heat better than dry-heat, so add water to pans on the burners to make the warmth more contributory. Bricks and cinder-blocks are safer mass to heat than stone, since stones aren't ceramic, ceramics have heat related properties most stones can't guarantee.

Back before I signed up for our Postal Service, I was Googling around for RHD imports for sale in or around Texas, starting with British and Irish imports and moving around to Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa. It would be nice if RHD nations would export cars by contract with the Postal Services of LHD nations, and vice-versa. 🤔

As Murphy law says, "if it's stupid but it works, it's not stupid".
Oh, and my personal favourite "if it ain't broke, fix it till it is".
Everything can be fixed with the right amount of duct tape, bailing wire and chewing gum, just look at what they did to repair B-17s during WW2, one plane came back missing the verticle stabilizer (sheered right off at the fuselage) the fix, take the vertical stabilizer off a different B-17 that would never fly again and transplant over to the plane that is missing it (took a bit more then duct tape, bailing wire and chewing gu,m to fix, but the plane was back up and flying it's next sorte two days later, they did have to use some tape to seal up the holes left by the shrapnel).
Oh, and the Jeeps and M1 Shermans, both were built in such a way that the average farm boy could fix things in the field, because it was country boys that worked on tractors and pickups that were crewing these vehicles. The Germans needed professional mechanics trained to take care of the tank and somewhere behind the lines to fix them.

If you ever notice how those chicken things work, they don’t make noise when you squeeze them, which is what would happen while backing up your car. They make noise when you let them expand, or release the pressure that caved in the chicken in the first place. OMG! There's a video of Amish people moving a barn and its so cool and kinda funny, from above it just looks like a barn with feet 😂 all jokes aside it looks super difficult and they should get mad respect for what they do.

that trailer moving is even worse when you consider: It's uneven so every interrior wall now has cracks in them. It LITERALLY takes a CDL license to legally tow above a certain weight so technically that's illegal
The battery trick with the AA battery WILL work. Same voltages just less capacity. You can also get a AAA battery to work in an AA battery slot with foil to close the gap on one of the terminals. I know because I did that to keep my CD player going when I was out of AA's.
So yea, that dowl trick to get AA's to fit is kinda cool. Just don't expect whatever it's in to last very long.

At one of my old apartments, I had natural gas pumped in so one day we lost power because of a snow storm and turned on the gas stove and used a lighter to light it. We used a blanket to trap the heat on the first floor (we had a townhouse apartment) and camped out in the living room. The place has a kitchen, living room, and half bath/laundry room on the first floor and three bedrooms and one bath on the second floor. The kitchen and living room was connected by an open doorway. I decided not to sleep in the living room like my family and just slept in my room.

2:29 that car is a replica of The Duke of New York's car from Escape From New York. It was built to participate in the Lemons Rally, a low-budget road rally. Some truly insane cars have been built for that. For example,, someone made a car into a driveable hot tub.
It's a spinoff of the 24 Hours of Lemons racing series, where (aside from the safety equipment, the brakes, and the tires,) the budget cap to buy and modify your car is $500. I call it a racing series, but really, it's more like a party series that happens to have racing going on.

Idk, here we just call it being creative with tools.
For example, if you want a limo, all you need is 2 cars, something to cut metal with and a lot of duct tape. So you cut off unneeded parts and then duct tape cars together - you got yourself a limo.
