    I’ve been working at this shop for 8 months, Jeff (owner) is an awesome guy and went out of his way to help me get my Discovery’s 2 to a drivable state. Glad to be a part of the JC’s British & 4x4 team. :)

    As much as I get that the build is in keeping with the vibe of the channel, I’m fairly confident the old girl wouldve done just as well, if not better with a ride height closer to stock, softer springs and simply more aggressive (but stock sized) tyres. Rangies have more than enough clearance and flex without needing such a ridiculous lift/tyre combo.

    I'll put money on it broke the pin in the diff it's quite a common break and cos you had 35" tyres it's just a case of when the pins break not if they will break if you fit a locker in both axles and with the locking transfer box they do very well you could do with about a 3-4" lift on the RRC either all in the spring with caster correcting arms or split 2" on the springs and 2" body lift and some +5" travel shocks all-round it's a very capable truck then

    A mate of mine and I changed the water pump on a 4.2 liter V8 Range Rover Classic of his once and realised that Land Rover decided to bolt every part of the car to every other part of the car. It wasn't a fun job.

    • @element271
      @element271 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a notoriously poor area of the car. Every bolt is a different length as well. It didn’t start like that it just slowly evolved to become like that because they built them for so long. When it comes to range rovers the older the model the easier they are to work on. The carbureted models really are very bullet proof.
