- hello, i have finished this at last ! i thumbnailed the animatic on June 24th, and streamed the frame drafting in the following month. spent 106 hours give or take drawing it all (i kept a timesheet for once, since people tend to ask me about these) and some amount of time editing. sorry !
anyway. you know how it is with the lifesteal season 3 branzy. have had so many thoughts about that character in these last SIX MONTHS ? wtf. so im glad to be able to finally put this project out. oh also clownpierce is there i guess. i feel a bit of remorse that i didnt get more frames of other lifesteal people i like in here, but well. it is a branzy video so, its expected.
well. i like betrayal plots and the tenuous nature of a traitors only ally being even more unpredictable. thats what this is about. cheating at cards.

WAHHHHH thats such high praise, thank you !!! i loveee muffling audio, it gives it such a nostalgic sound, and softens the treble to be less jarring :)

Oh my GOD the art style, comic book layout, small hints of lore, the audio muffling in and out, and the quotes at the beginning and end?! Dang this is REALLY GOOD!!
(Side note: I love how you gave Branzy a necklace with 4 heart charms to resemble the 4 hearts Clown gave him post-cleansing war)

I don't know much about Lifesteal aside from what I hear in passing from friends, but WOW this is INSANELY captivating! This artstyle is very reminiscent of both drawings you'd see in a sketchbook (especially with the way you shade, which is gorgeous), but also has the same vibes as those older black and white graphic novels with how defined the shapes and movements are. Those designs are also so creative paired with the ways they emote! And you shine again with the little details in how you structure your animatics, like how when the music is muffled, something just seems more uncertain, like thoughts being clouded with fog. This is just ridiculously amazing and it must've been a wild amount of work! Outstanding!!!

The fact that now I can’t stop watching animations of SMP’S with songs that go perfectly with them and sing along, and it started with this animation, I wish I had talent like this! Seriously you have so much talent!!!
I know its been a while since you made this video but i always find myself coming back to rewatch it. Theres something about how immersive it makes me feel and me and a friend know it as THE lifesteal animatic! I love these two characters and how you portray Clowns obsessiveness and total crazyness while keeping with Branzys emotions and his sad betrays he made to stay with Clown. GOD its just perfect! You made me in love with the song and that Dancing scene is my Roman empire i swear lol

yay :D i was using swing dancing dips for reference, and they tend to go all out with getting the partner off the ground lol
