Norwegian Lapland: the land of the Samis I WIDE

Lying at the far north of the continent of Europe, Lapland covers a vast area stretching over 4 different countries. The Norwegian part of Lapland is the largest. It is there that we can find the last spaces in Europe that are devoid of any human presence.
Still, in this extraordinary place, some people have found a way to settle: the Samis, the only indigenous people in Europe. Their lifestyle respects ancestral customs and is perfectly in harmony with their one-of-a-kind environment.

I hope the thirst for oil does not destroy this culture. Even the border with Russia is unnatural for Sami. Karelia is Russia or Finland? Who knows. This land belongs to the people that cared for it for years, not crazy European politicians. Beautiful documentary!
