Brian, I want to tell you a little about my son with Down Syndrome. Ever since he was about 3 years old, he has said he wants a "cow" (but he was talking about a bull) for a pet. When he was 9, I took him to the Dallas County Fair and showed him just how big a "cow" is. He still wanted a "cow." He is now 26 years old and still wants a "cow." But the best I can do is let him watch your videos. I don't think we have missed a video in the past 3 or so years. Cody (my son) would be so tickled to death if you name a bull after him. Thanks so much for the fun videos, I'm sure we will continue to watch them for may years.
Got my vote!
Mine awell ❤
My grandfather was farming in southern Illinois in the 1920. He had 7 daughters and 2 sons. In 1930 he had to leave the farm to start working in a factory, and sadly he never returned to farming. The Great Depression changed the future lives of everyone in our family.
My grandparents were over in east central Indiana at that time and done the same thing. My grandfather could only tolerate 1 year in town. They took the chance and went and bought another farm. They managed to keep it around 7 yrs then upgraded to a better farm, that's the farm they owned when he passed away at 86 in 1996. The grandparents were married 67 yrs when he passed, something you almost never see anymore.
Time for the 50 year maintenance on the unload augers!!
Cole and Brian. Love the videos . I have been watching for a long time . Could you please explain the difference from a Heifer and a cow . Cole made a comment last video that the heifer’s were done giving birth and now it’s the cows . Please. Thank you for sharing your lives . Also thank you for the recognition to the first responders . 👍👍🏅
A heifer is a female that is getting ready to deliver her first calf. A cow has already birthed 1 or more calves.
Thank you so much . After 66 years on this earth, I never knew that term . It’s always great to learn something new in life . …
@@JoeWoolley-rf5fq glad to help👍
The end Cole!😂 Slow unloading bin is a lot cheaper than buying a new one.
💰 days are always good. Mamas and babies looking great as usual
Really Cole made me a little dizzy like I am dizzy enough😂😂😂 oh my gosh you’re too much kid❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's Grillin Weather today. We had hot dogs on the grill. My Mother in Law was hungry for a grilled DOG. Beef wiener, Ball Park, Our house favorite.
"Grilling weather" You finally said a technical word I understand. I'll be right there!!
It's amazing how long some of those older motors and belts last out in the elements. I remember my dad chewing me up one side and down the other over me replacing and old electric motor once, he said all you had to do was manually turn it over and spray some WD-40 into it, that was back in the early 80's.🙂
Nobody puts a camera in the places that you put them, Cole. Good for you! Rosanne Cash does sing "Seven Year Ache". Beautiful song and singer.
It's not often you have to race the "warm" weather to get the job done but it is nice weather for calving.
Since you already have the double sheave, I guess this means that you now have the new double pulley and two new sets of belts on order, right? Right!
There really is nothing more that brings me joy than to see Cole interacting with the calves and trying to get them to go where he wants 🤣 you can imagine him at a soft play centre stuck in the ball pit throwing balls at people as they go by 🤣 Also I’m really intrigued to know what’s under the hat 🤔 and a lot can be prevented with 2 rubbers!!!
Hi Cole and Dad Brian thank you for sharing everything. I just enjoy watching what you do.God bless you all .
Thanks for the video Cole and Brian like the Work you Do .
Little calf’s worth a lot of money just a few days old . Hopefully grain prices will go up for you . Good song Brian enjoy the weather 😊
ANOTHER GREAT DAY AT SONNE FARMS. IT MIGHT BE TIME TO WASH THE PICKUP!!
Good work on getting the 6 loads of corn, wasn't easy but you got them. Thanks, have a nice evening.
It’s been so warm here in sw Michigan that we didn’t even get frost laws this spring it has been incredibly warm.
All your cows seem to be very well tempered.
Cole you’re amazing. I have never seen someone train their buggy to follow along like that. Fancy!! Which should be a calf’s name please Brian! 😉😂
All these babies. I just love seeing new life.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO COLE AND BRIAN 😊
Thanks for a video in the day of life farmer/rancher. You always vary the content and keep it interesting.
GOOD JOB!
I personally think the whole band did a fantastic job. This is not an easy song to play 😊
Thank you Cole for all the great camera shots and mounts you bring us! Always feel like I’m there.
You have taught me so much about cows and it’s great to see how my dinner is raised. I do have to tell you - your beef is delicious! Love you both❤❤❤
Thank you Sonne farms!!
What a gift 🎁 of warm weather for claving season. Let’s cross our fingers that it doesn’t whiplash back to winter 🥶. The rapid change is hard on kettle.
Always better with two rubbers lol great job you guys pray for good spring and the cows will have good babies
Roseanne Cash hit the spot at a time in my life. That song is awesome Brian. Great choice.
Yay! The perlletz guy! Likin' those things. And, he seems to like scraping up and collecting our poo. Let's make more of that for him! He's a good guy.
--So say the cattles.
Cole, get some belt dressing! You will love it.
Brain… spot on with the song of the day
Brian, 'Seven Year Ache" and 'Tennessee Flat Top Box' go together on my playlist...
Keep up the great work
When Roseanne Cash brought Rodney Crowell to meet Johnny Cash for the first time Johnny stared at him for a bit and then said “Just remember, I haven’t known you long enough to miss you if you were gone”. Turned out she ended up marrying Crowell. 😁
Better pissed off than pissed on, oh wait never mind.😂
Brian, my song of the day is by Sugarloaf " Green Eyed Lady ". Love the song of the day segment!
Great calving weather.
If it ain't raining the roof isn't leaking, if it's raining it's too wet to fix. How old is that old pulley and how long have you been , a going to fix it" 😁
Brian, you are correct re: R Cash...have seen her in concert...wonderful,
❤ Right ON Brian, your 100 % correct on BOTH the Song and the Artist, Rosanne Cash, , AWESOME SONG 🤩
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian.
It was interesting and most enjoyable.
Glad you got your corn to the elevator ok. Remember those days of hauling corn to the elevator. Sometimes you have to wait and others time not. Glad you got your contract filled.
Really warmed up in your area. Unusual weather for this time of the year. Same here in central Iowa.
Thanks for the song of the day Brian. Like the Cash songs. Good music and good old country songs. Thanks Brian.
Time too move calf’s again. The ones today were really quick on their feet. Amazing after just several days old.
Those belts on the grain bin could use some changing. And yes I agree with you Cole, that one could use a double pulley to work better. Good idea.
Thanks for everything Cole. You both take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Such nice weather for calving. They just don't make things to last anymore. God bless and be safe out there. Brian you are spot on for the song of the day, and again no repeats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spot on with the artist and title with the song of the day Brian.
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
Brian, you were spot on with the song of the day.
I love watching you both, so very much. I really wish you could make your videos longer. You make me laugh and giggle, and your content is always interesting to me. Your editing is brilliant. I love watching all of your farm chores, (yes, even cleaning out your barns and poop scooping your feeding areas and concrete). I live in Queensland, Australia, and we never have snow or sleet where I live. Watching you having to contend with such weather, is amazing to me. Thank you for all your hard work, not just on your farm but for all of your viewers too! I don’t know if you’ve ever named a clave, ‘Rachelle’ or ‘Shelly’ before Mr Brian, but it would be really cool having a clave, living and running around in America, named after me, who’s living and running around in the land of Oz. Thank you for your consideration. I hope your day is warm, Sonne and bright!😊
Most definitely grilling time.
Great job guys love videos. We need uncle Jeff showing
Like the closing: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Definitely need to add some grilling videos!
Enjoyed.
Part of Murphys law is something that is neglected 364 days of the year will always give you issues on the day you want to use it. That is a testament to how things were made that those belts and motors have sat out in the elements for all this time and still do the job they were intended to. Last week this time I was digging out from a blizzard that dropped over a foot of snow. This week I am digging out my down spouts because the melt is on! March isn’t supposed to be like this.🤔
Keep up the hard work.
Slippy belt usually work well for me after just a dab o' toothpaste or two to break the glaze.
Oh yes, warmer weather coming soon.
Hiya boys, 😂😂 I can watch cat Ringling all day , respect and love from the old woman in Oklahoma❣️🖐😂
A double pulley would help a lot. A double belt would last many times longer than a single belt. ( two belts made into one double belt)
thx for sharing
Cole...get a double pulley on to the to-do list to save aggravation later.
Great video and great song of the day. Nailed it!
That’s the style of gran bin load outs we have on all our bins
I would double pully that drive belt as the next project. Also, you can use what's called belt dressing. It's a spray can that makes the belt material supple and sticky. Better yet, get rid of the old tech and get with the new tech which are Gates Polychains. They're steel reinforced belts with teeth. More expensive, but you'll never have belt issues again. Also, check the overloads on the motor starter. Contact cleaner to get rid of the carbon fouling and even replace them. You can also increase the values a bit so they won't trip out so easy. Not too much, because they're protecting the motor. But that can give you a bit more holding power before they go. Just some helpful advice that you didn't ask for or even want, but that's the beauty of TH-cam. We here in the peanut gallery are chocked FULL of unsolicited information! lol
thanks!
Theres a thing called belt dressing, you spray it on and it makes your belt tacky/sticky OR 2 rubbers!
You could speed up that auger by changing the pully sizes on the auger and the motor.
Cole & Brian, I very much enjoy your videos. You are amazing at what you do! My father in law was a grain, sugar beet farmer in Minnesota. I met my wife too late in life, her father had sold the farm and moved on to other projects that he wanted to pursue. How I would have loved being able to get into the machinery and helped harvest the crops and farm chores. He was able to help build a sugar beet processing plant after the plant they used shut down, it’s still in operation to this day.
I very much enjoy that you keep your content family friendly, maybe I am old fashioned and reserved, but I was taken back about the rubbers comment. I have worked in construction and played sports and heard all the nasty stuff, but don’t like hearing that stuff. I know I will probably get bashed for this comment, but just wanted to express my feelings. I will continue watching your videos because they are clean and very interesting. Thanks for everything you do to provide a valuable service to help feed us. We pray that you will get more rain during the summer months so that you can get better crops this coming harvest!
I would love an old Ernest Tubb song for song of the day.
Always a good video.
You're right Brian, RoseAnn Cash sang Seven Year Ache.
It does not seem too muddy at the moment ! so long may it continue ❤
Last year you were locking down for blizzads and freezing temperatures 🥶
Enjoy the grilling weather! We had 60's today but expecting a foot of snow later this week in Colorado. Then back to grilling weather.
Upgrades for the grane bins coming then
You have a lot of cows and calefs and bulls and john Deer trackers 🚜🚜
yep!
Awesome video Cole. Great song choice. Roseanne is a amazing artist as well as her father and June Carter Cash.
🚜🚜🚜
Farmers in Michigan I watch are already planting wheat. Their channel is acres of clay. Dairy farm. Have a good day.
Put green dishwashing liquid on that belt. Sounds counterintuitive to put soap on a belt. But I promise you it will stop slipping.
it is like a roler coaster i enjoyend the video sounds like you are getttion better. talking about belts last saturday we were feeding cows and we put tomuch feed in the feed wagon it but i hope in spelling this right beacuse i cant see very well because my eys are dilated so i cant see vary well have fun calving and enjoy trucking and hope you dont burn any more belts.
Hopefully an early spring to finish calving.
10:15 “hellooo”
good to see its going well that day and you driving trucks to if i remember right you did not like truck driving to much a few years ago , but perhaps i am wrong
Love the vids. More Herefords.
hello de greetings from holland gr van john kermis
Ellie has dyed her hair !
I love your humor
Awesome video Cole and Mr. B.. How hard would it be to change the single pully out for a double? Y'all have a great week and be careful.. Thank you guys so much
EnEnjoyed your video have a great day
If there is a parade in your town. You could dress your conveyor up like a T-Rex and you could pretend like it’s your pet as you walk along side of it driving it.
Thanks for sharing
awsome video cole thumbs up and shared
Thanks so much
Thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
Why don't you take the grain cart over and fill it to help you move the grain faster, if it is that slow?
we do when we haul alot
If you can sell all of your beef direct do a test on corn and grass hay strips to maximize sun end row yields, and then mob graze to extend feed after corn harvest. Let the animals do the final haying, fertilizing work. Water and electric fences.
Yup went from 22" of snow to 4" deep puddles in one week, hello March
your gonna green up!
Baie mooi. Dankie
