Time to get those spring flies ready! This is an easy fly tying tutorial aimed at the new fly tier and experienced one alike.
Fly fishing is more fun when you catch fish and for us, this has been one of the best flies for that. You can use it on your euro nymphing setup, as a dropper on a dry dropper or under an indicator. The Rainbow Warrior has been great on rivers all over the west, both freestones and tail waters.
Rainbow Warrior Material List:
Hook: Standard emerger or Jig hook sizes 12-22.
Bead: Silver tungsten bead, 3/32-inch.
Thread: UTC 70 denier or 8/0, Red.
Tail: Pheasant tail.
Abdomen and wingcase: Pearl Flashabou, wide.
Thorax: Wapsi Sow-Scud dubbing, Tan Rainbow.
Hot Spot: Red thread whip finishes.
