Not it’s not. It was hyped because of the name. Just like Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. Ppl listen to see if it’s good first week and then if nothing sticks it loses steam.
Queen easily outdid PF2. Queen definitely should’ve gotten a sequel instead. There was so much energy for that era, regardless of the drama and suppression.
My biggest issue is that like many rap (and even pop) albums, it relies too much on samples (at least with the marketed songs). If she had more original ones like "Barbie Dangerous," "Nicki Hendrix," and "Fallin 4 U," I think it'd get more attention outside of the Barbs.
PF2 is a really fun creative album imo, it’s also a grower and some of the songs are more subtle which may make the album seem weak. Definitely has some skips but overall it’s Nicki at her best and most self actualized. It really sounds like she made music that SHE likes not just music that would easily become huge pop hits. Of course it has huge pop hits but even those ones are so uniquely Nicki, no other artist could recreate the energy she channels on FTCU or Super Freaky Girl.
Fallin 4 u I listen to literally every day ❤. Barbie Dangerous, Red Ruby, Pink Friday Girls, always in rotation. I just think it's a more chill vibe from the previous albums, but def get that it's not some ppl's cup of tea.
I love this album! 🥰 I think she showed a lot of versatility on this album. Last Time I Saw You is such a beautiful song and has helped me through some tough times. I also love Barbie Dangerous, Big Difference, Red Ruby and Falling 4 U.
No, it isn't timeless. I only like super freaky girl and red ruby the sleaze, but the rollout was legendary especially the ice spice features despite her lowkey being a snake she has good taste.
I personally love PF2. I listen to it almost everyday. I can relate to a lot of things. I recently had a baby, I’ve been in a long term relationship. And I’m a women going through life trying to remember who I am, and reminding other people I’m that bitch😂😂. The songs I listen to still are: - falling 4 u - FTCU -RNB - last time I saw you - let me calm down - needle These stay on rotation
Are classic albums being released by anyone anymore. Most albums come and go within a few months these days. Nicki has two classic albums (Pink Friday & Pinkprint) so she doesn’t really need another one for her legacy to be cemented
Roman reloaded too; she has timeless hits on there. Whip it, right by my side, automatic, Marilyn Monroe, vava voom, pound the alarm, and starships alone make this album greatt
No it’s not it dropped off of billboard pretty fast for it to be a Nicki album it’s back on there now but it seems like the Barbs worked overtime to make it go number one and it was a successful female rap album with impressive sales the people liked a few songs and they went viral on tik tok but after a while people stopped talking about it
It's not everyone's cup of tea. But I personally love most it. I play falling for you every morning while preparing for work. There are probably 2 songs on there that I don't play at all.
PF2 had some great tracks - favourites are Big Difference, Bahm Bahm, FTCU, Fallin 4 U & My Life - but yes, not my favourite NM album. My top 5 bodies of work from her discography in order of ranking would be: 1. Queen, 2. Pinkprint, 3. PF 1, 4. Beam Me Up Scotty, 5. Her iconic features. But one thing's clear - Nicki is consistent and her work ages like fine wine.
all biased Barb shit aside, I consider this album a classic bc it has some of the best songs in her discography for me: Barbie Dangerous, FTCU, Fallin 4 U, RRDS, LTISY, Pink Birthday, etc
Yeah but as a stand alone album Full body of work would you consider this a classic? Because Gucci Mane got projects that I like songs off of but Gucci projects are terrible. PF2 isn't horrible but as a full project it's too long, not focused. I thought Queen was too long as well but there is an amazing album in Queen if you cut a few songs from it. I think this era of streaming albums bout to mess up people's legacies.
I will always find myself randomly singing one of these 1. Fallin 4 You 2. Beep Beep 3. Bahm Bahm 4. Big Difference 5. Blessings 6. Let me calm down 7. Just the Memories
still listening last time that I saw you Barbie dangerous are you going already and cowgirl Those are my favorite songs. They are definitely still in rotation and Red Ruby Da Sleeze for sure.
Rap is dying. The market is oversaturated with people trying to make a quick buck. This is the fault of greedy corporations. There are very few mainstream artists who have the passion to make meaningful music; most just want the aesthetic. Artists like Doechii, Rod Wave, and SZA are carving out their own lanes. Others are locked out by the industry and aren’t given a chance because they don’t fit the mold. The industry is afraid to take risks they just hop on trends.
The thing people dont understand is when you mention other rap girls album, its a lot of their fans that will mention 1,2 or 3 of the same songs that they like but if you mention nicki album, its a lot of her fans that will pick different songs from one album..this is because nicki have song different songs for different mood and she knows that not everybody have the same taste in music..this is why one of her songs suddenly makes it on top itunes chart..it takes months to digest her song..i mean i go to tiktok and see people still asking what song is this..even her old songs.
Its a classic, It's been out for almost a year and the other day I had Big difference pop in my head and from there it started playing my other faves like fallin 4 u, let me calm down, bahm bahm, are you gone already, blessings, needle. Music is subjective so people can agree to disagree. I LOVED QUEEN too and I hate that people tried to say it wasn't a good album. I think thats what's going to happen to PF2 people will revisit it 3-5 years later and give it the credit it deserves
@@antasiashaw8815 I posted my opinion just like the commentary asked us to do, we can agree to disagree. I say it's a classic you dont agree. move around!!
Too me yes but apparently not this comment section is the complete opposite of my opinion 😂😂😂 Too me this is a solid project my favorite from her is the Pinkprint, Pink Friday and The-Re-Up but PF2 is solid too me I’m still listening to Fallin 4 U, My Life, Barbie Dangerous, FTCU of course and Needle from time to time and Last Time I Saw You on a good Sunday after church you cleaning your house with Blessing love it, I don’t care for Just The Memories and Nicki Hendrix but solid album ❤
As much as I loved Nicki's previous albums, PF2 doesn't stick with me at all. Sure, it had hits like FTCU, Everybody, Fallin 4 U, and Big Difference, but the album doesn't stick with me. I feel like Queen gets slept on a lot, considering the energy, tone, and feeling from that album, you can tell she was HUNGRY. It's my favorite album of hers. I wouldn't consider PF2 timeless in my book.
PF2 has a day dreamy vibe. I find some of the songs so relaxing and intimate. Then there's the others that I rap to and/or jump around. I listen to it from start to end, but i dont care for the features with Future and Drake. They sound annoying
I think it’s too soon to say if it’s timeless. I don’t a year is enough time. I think that if after she has a new album, and people go back to this album then it’s timeless. I’m 42, so I’ve seen a lot of music come and go. Everything is so fast nowadays. I’m still listening to music from the 80s, 90s- that’s what I consider timeless
UNPOPULAR OPINION, Nicki has yet to make a classic rap album. I feel like her first two albums she was trying to cater to too many markets: Pop, Rap, Dance, R&B, etc. The Pinkprint was well balanced and arguably her best work, but still not a classic. Queen needed to be trimmed down. The album started off good but then it just became a bunch of good songs that had the same message. PF2 is good but not great. Not something an artist of her caliber would put out. Once again it starts off good but then it feels like just a collection of songs put together that lacks cohesion. What do we take away from the album after listening? What's the theme? What story did she tell? 🤔🤔🤔
It came out last year but people stopped talking about the album quick it fell off billboard quickly it’s back there now but compared to her other albums which were still charting it flopped
Ive only heard 2 songs when im out and about and those would be FTCU and Everybody! Ive barely heard those this album only sold well because the barbs mass bought it so in my opinion no its not! Most people I know dont like this album and the only people who i know that do are known barbs
To answer your question no it’s not,her fans are lying. I’ve listened to it twice and didn’t like it both times. To be she’s not an album artist just like Rihanna. My favorite album from her is the pink print & queen. To me TPP is Nicki
It was gonna be really hard to top anyways. Naming it after pink friday put this high expection on it. It didnt top the first pink friday but I thought it was pretty good. It is my least fav nicki album tho

Nope. I like some of her music, but she has yet to make a classic album. She almost had it with Pinkprint
No. It came and went for most people except her huge fan base. But staying in the general public's mind no lol

Not as timeless as Str8 facts commentary 😅

I wish she had visuals. Very good music videos would have done the album justice
It’s called moving the goalposts… it’s always that for Nicki ❤ but let me calm down

@@Noamsmomma exactly lol
Not even close one of her worst albums
Nicki has good albums. Pink Friday 2 is not one of them. And no, I don't care how well it did sales wise. It's some of her weakest material.

Pink Friday 2 is better than the first one. It's a good album. 👍🩷 🎶
Now that a lie when I see one 😂
