Oh my god, this is perfect unlike the Troopings of the recent years. That arm swing is absolutely perfect, foot drill and dressing etc... Outstanding work!

@Anthony Yair. These are the products of the Guards Depot Pirbright before it closed in the late 80s and Guards basic training was transferred to the Infantry Training Centre at Catterick where, sadly, the Guards ethos has been lost. And it shows. That said, they had much more time to practise for the Troop then than they have today.
Thanks for uploading, I would have watched this parade as a child with my father on the BBC. He would have been recording it with a microphone directly onto tape and we had to keep quiet throughout. Beautiful memories for me and inspired me to sign up, 26 years service. Faugh a Ballagh
Before the guards marched from Wellington Barracks they used to march from Chelsea barracks the distance they marched from start to finish is just under 5 Miles ( This was my second trooping of the colour)

To see the Queen in pink & mounted. Almost forgot she did this for years. Still difficult to believe she is not around anymore.
Believe she is and she will be

Much higher standards all round in those days. There hasn't been a decent parade this century.
They all have the swagger going. Confidence.
It just goes to show how much the army has changed The drill is so much better then now Its sad but the British army has been cut to the bone
Scots guards got a recomendation from the queen a gud parade n escort by the scots guards nemo me impune laccasset

I was stuck on a hill in NRW...... not enjoying any ditties from G & S.
Looked so much better then. Maybe they had more belief in what they were doing, and weren't just going through the motions?
starting from 2:08, did someone's bagpipe break or something, there was a strange sound and then it disappeared?
I think it was part of the intro to the march. Doesn't sound like bagpipes at all.
Why do the pipers get the blame for everything not bag pipes ex Scots Guards piper .

How wonderful to see the cream cheese herself on Burmese taking the salute as opposed to today where she has to sit and nod her head.
