In truth, sometimes, there's beauty, but it takes art to make us see the beauty in the truth. Mac Davis wrote this song, but Elvis made it his own, and the way he did it was nothing short of beautiful- and it still is, in my opinion.

@@Jeri_C11 I'm not a religious person (I'm agnostic) but every time I listen to a certain Gospel song sung by Elvis, it makes me cry. I love, LOVE, his rendition of "Peace In The Valley" but I have to be prepared with a box of tissues before I hit the play button. I cannot drive or cook or handle anything sharp when I play that song. On the other hand, "Milky White Way" makes me happy. His voice on that is SO BEAUTIFUL. It's just perfection for the ears. So before I listened to Elvis's Gospel stuff I was skeptical. I'm not a huge Gospel fan or aficionado. But I tell you true I ugly cry every time I listen to Elvis sing "How Great Thou Art"- the live 1977 version. His voice is so powerful. I never knew. With his Gospel, he pulls something out of me I didn't even know I had in me. I could go on and on, obviously 😊 Thank you so much for the reply ⚡❤✌🙏💕

I remember the first time I bought the Elvis in Nashville album and I just put on any song. It happened to be Bridge Over Troubled Water and I cried like a baby. Wasn’t expecting it in the least, so I played a second which was How The Web was Woven. He sang it with perfection ( hadn’t heard it before) with just rehearsal band only and his voice up front. There I went again. 😢😢 I thought,I better put this away and take it slowly and listened the next day. He as you said just brings unexpected emotions, memories, life thoughts etc. Before you realize it. You’re a goner. 😂😂🎸🎸🕺🏻🕺🏻🎤❤️ Nice talking with you.
