Also, he wasn't really that big of a drug dealer and wasn't powerful like movie made it seem.

Its actually bad form to not have Pesci on this list. As someone that's grown up around gangsters his looks seem realistic and when the atmosphere of the scene starts to change to suspenseful on a dime it's really powerful. And true to the reality of the tension you feel when a killer suddenly drops his smile.

I love all these movies you mention. I also love Blood in Blood Out but doubt it will ever be considered seriously as a great crime drama, because it is somewhat stylized (probably unintentionally). American Me would probably get nods over it.

*Jeff Futrell* was a unsung classic but did you know they portray Bumpy Johnson as a notorious ruthless leader but that's not what he was in real life he didn't barely kill or stab or people feared him he worked for St Croix as a guard he used his fist like he would beat ppl up like a boxer but not with a weapon.
As a professional chef, that blueberry muffin scene in Casino is one of my only real issues with the movie. It really wouldn't be that hard to make sure there are an equal amount of blueberries in each muffin. All he would have to do is instruct the muffin man to add the blueberries to the batter after they're in the muffin pans. It would take maybe two extra minutes to do.

I love all these movies you mention. I also love Blood in Blood Out but doubt it will ever be considered seriously as a great crime drama, because it is somewhat stylized (probably unintentionally). American Me would probably get nods over it.
