i love how so many people don't like playing vanilla, even with challenges like skyblock, then we have these guys who go above and beyond to basically take a vanilla survival series, and make it just that much better. I love that you guys have done this, and you keep doing, and i look forward to seeing how you do it next.
Me, someone who literally hasn't played Minecraft since 1.7: It can't have changed all THAT much, I could probably jump back in and know EXACTLY what I'm doing Not even 10 minutes into the video: *existential crisis because I can't even begin to imagine what these contraptions are even being used for*
The detail in everything is insane, & I love how you can easily tell it was a group effort for many things, but you all also allowed yourselves to have fun with it (the giant dirt trap), & not treat it TOO seriously. I can tell that this was something everyone involved gave 110% on, yet kept the fun & creativity of a group of pals with different talents playing a game together. Nicely done, & cannot wait to see what comes out next from ya'll.
I love seeing obscure recipes get used like the coarse dirt recipe from dirt and gravel that basically means extra dirt if you till it and let it decay. It's things like that that make me really appreciate this community and the insanity that can be accomplished in it.
Yeah that threw me for a bit before I remembered that coarse dirt is made from 2 dirt and 2 gravel that results in 4 coarse dirt, didn't know about the tilling and decaying thing though.

I love just how above and beyond you guys go in your skyblock worlds! The seriously dedication is amazing! I think my favorite part was when you guys were killing the wither.
I recently watched your skyblock VI video, and I thought it was epic. I then saw this, Skyblock VII, and was absolutely blown away with it. Your builds are amazing too, the amount of time and effort to both build the actual map, and build that skyblock world must’ve been insane. That is a big commitment. I would get so bored doing this, so props to that aswell. Can’t wait for skyblock VIII (IIX?) to come out!
You really gotta sit back and admire this whole game mode in its entirety, to think that all you start off with is a tree, and some other resources can inevitably help you to create masterpieces such as this world where they have access to every item and resource in the game. Honestly astonishing and well done on the video

Thank you :). The vast majority of this timelapse was "improvised" or as you said played "regularly"". The only difference with a normal skyblock gameplay was that we decided on what we would work that day and also of course some more complicated structures were tested/designed before (like the crystals). The positions of the farms were partly decided before hand (if it depends on a specific biome/condition), others were decided as we went on :)
@@LordJon25 Dang, I've only been able to wish for something like this! I've done my own solo playthroughs on skyblock worlds that I've downloaded because I have no idea how to remove the world without removing the biomes and bounding boxes for structures. I also have no one who enjoys this playstyle to play with, so it's very disheartening for me! I just bounce around between coop games playing solo cause no one I know plays them haha
You guys are not only good at building, but also good at designing and redstoning, which is very impressive. Btw your choice of music is so good too! :D

Do you think a future skyblock could feature an end portal frame, perhaps far far away? I love the addition of the nether block way out in the void, and I loved how you went to various locations to make biome and chunk-locked farms.

im fifteen minutes in, and GOD has Minecraft's updates changed skyblock. Diamond gear is possible now, villagers, there's no longer and limitations on dirt, iron farms, full-blown redstone contraptions, etc. just so much has changed this classic style, its amazing.

My only assumption is that if you re-create a world based off your file, it will be just a normal world, and it would be a matter of exploring and taking notes of the coordinates, right? Other than that, again, this was simply amazing to watch. Keep up the great work, all of you.

Wich ment that we needed to do it this way. I know that some viewers might not like the idea of knowing where everything is, but it allows for some next level opportunities that would otherwise never be found.

@@azaVap Yeah there isnt much, but in general you want to have as little passive mobs as possible ( loaded and no passive mobs in spawn chunks), then if you place some grass blocks in lets say planes biome, then every now and then you will get spawns; more information minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Spawn#Java_Edition_mob_cap
i love minecraft because, modded or not, you can make interesting and fun challenges for yourself in maps like skyblock. personally, maps where you get tested on the mechanics of the game and ur expertise on it are the BEST, skyblock offers a fascinating challenge for people and your video is everything i want to be able to accomplish in my own world. im wondering though if the map version is okay to load in 1.18? im not sure, but if you're working on a 1.18 version of a skyblock video, i would watch it!! i think what you and your friend were able to accomplish in this world and the previous ones i was watching is amazing. id love to see more :]
