I hi t used green tea for the first time n it went good! But I have red Chinese tea and red African tea I’m going to do a soap with and jasmine and patchouli ( not together) sometime soon!
Thank you so much for this great video. Did you insulate the soap overnight? I was thinking the soap would heat up and need refrigerating a bit after putting it in the mold because of the tea-lye. I used rooibos tea-lye once and the soap heated up and cracked in the middle. Just wondering how to prevent that when I try to make your recipe. Please advise and thanks!
Hi, the flowers u used on top were the dry ones? As the fresh ones can cause mold in the soap! I’m starting new soaps and your all videos are so helpful🤗
Thank you I really enjoy your videos ❣️. I have a quick question, if you will consider answering me. I am wondering what your sprinkling on top of your soaps at the end. It looks white? 🧐❤️
Oh 😊. Yes. I maybe saw a different video of yours. I’m sorry, I meant the white sprinkles that looked like sugar or salt maybe. I’m a pest. 🥴 thank you Ellen❣️
@@karellarsen939 I use several different kinds of sprinkles... If you comment on the video you're curious about, then I can tell you what I've used in that one..
Crazy! A week before I started watching your videos I made an avocado-coconut milk soap. It looks almost exactly like this soap 😂 We in Germany call this - two idiots, one thought 😂 (please excuse 😁)
Good question, I find that different ingredients are fun to work with, and add a new dimension to the soap. I use herbal infused oils too.... I hope/think some of the "good stuff" is still in there...
I am new to your channel. I love your soaps and how you teach. Very calming for me and interesting 🤗❤️. Thank you Ellen 👍

Sounds wonderful! I love tea soap!
I love watching this video and wondered if you can use other scented teas to add in cold processing soaps that are made
Oh yes, you could get really creative with different teas and such
Can I ask where you get your Tussah silk from ? Mine doesn’t melt as fast as yours. I love how fast yours melted.
I got it on Amazon, a long time ago.... Lasts forever... It's raw and unrefined / narural (not bleached). Hope this helps 😉

I did put a lid on the mold, but didn't insulate it. The tea soaps to get really hot. My studio is very cool, so I think that helps.

🤣 💕 I love Avocado soap!
What do you put tussah silk in for
It literally gives the lather a "silky" soft feel.😀
Lovely👏
Thank you☺️
Another lovely soap Ellen!!! ❤ didnt see where kaolin was put on.. was it mixed in the oils before u put tge tea-lye solution?
Yes, I mixed it in the oils before I add the lye mixture.
Hi dear what is the benifit of silk add to the soap?
It adds a very silky soft feel to the lather.
May I ask the reason for adding the silk?
Yes, I really like the way it feels in the finished soap. It adds a very "silky" feel to the lather...
Hi, new subbie here! Beautiful soap!
Welcome! And thanks!
Wouldn't the lye destroy all the good properties of the tea?
Good question, I find that different ingredients are fun to work with, and add a new dimension to the soap. I use herbal infused oils too.... I hope/think some of the "good stuff" is still in there...
I love that green - Clay with speed up trace too. I’ve had some fun with that. I love your videos and soaps thank you for sharing 🇦🇺💜
Thanks so much😀
