@@psychopathyoutubeemployees280 How so? A lot of people root for the underdog in sports. Arlington played great against two of the best teams in the league. You have to respect that

I like how the XFL doesnt pretend to be something its not. It knows its not the NFL. Instead, it highlights what the league is truly about: player stories and the opportunity to show what they can do in order to make it to the NFL.
Exactly. The XFL knows its lane, and has a very distinct brand. I watch the games because I care about the individual players' stories. This is an easy league to root for because everyone is transparent about their true ambition to make it to the NFL.
They made themselves a feeder for the NFL and that's totally fine and it's ok to be that.. But we also need a league that's willing to take on becoming there on entity as a legit pro league and not a feeder league for the NFL that would also be good as well...
I had a feeling this would happen as soon as Arlington made the playoffs. I just knew if they made it in, they'd make it all the way. What an amazing XFL playoffs these were with a cinderella ending.
Their defense was the best in the league, but their offense was trash before they got Luis Perez. They basically relied on their defense to score points. Once they got Perez, their offense did a 180.
Congratulations to the Arlington Renegades on winning the XFL Championship. The first XFL Championship game since 2001 (yeah that championship game) May we hope to have another season of the XFL.
i already loved how unhinged the xfl has been, and the fact that my renegades ended up coming out on top by upsetting the two best teams in the league after after a losing regular season, playing 3 qbs, the last of which they beat in the season opener and then traded for midseason, and finishing at .500 overall, makes it so much crazier lol
I agree. The offense was just unstoppable thru the regular season. Kept the secondary from having to come up clutch in games. Once they forced Ta'amu to have to throw it, it was over.
DC's secondary (outside of Michael Joseph) was inconsistent, all season. It finally did them in. They played hard, but Perez knew where to throw the ball against the Defenders' defense.
I am hoping the xfl stays forever there football is better than the usfl xfl teams play in there own stadium most usfl teams don't play in there home city xfl rules are the bomb maybe can add more teams in the future xfl forever
As a fan of the former New York Guardians from 2020, I'm VERY happy to see Luis Perez succeed. I think a lot of these guys on both sides will be getting calls from NFL teams soon.
Tyler Vaughns and Abram Smith both looked great I would love to see them at least get a training camp spot this upcoming season to see how they do they both might have a few more years in them
Great XFL season. Definitely looking forward to the future of this league. Congratulations to Arlington for becoming the first XFL champion since 2001.
I saw it coming as soon as I saw the line. I'm sure plenty of people bet on the 9-1 team because of the records of the two teams. The 7-point line should have been a red flag that the team with the losing record was going to win. It reminds me of when people bet heavily on Oregon against Ohio State in the first national championship game of the college football playoff era with an identical line.
This game had almost everything a football fan can ask for. Great defensive plays, long kicks on short drives to get points. Big offensive plays in timely situations along with a near end of game comeback. If you didn’t enjoy this game, I am unsure of you enjoy football.
I can't decide whether it's an embarrassment that a losing team won the championship or a great story of an underdog team overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds to achieve victory.
Congratulations to the Renegades. Some felt they shouldn't even have been there, but its the rules as written. And when it comes to playoff football, forget records and all that. In its simplest form, you just have to win 2 or 3 games.
massive congrats to everyone associated with the renegades and especially to luis perez after a rollercoaster season and coming off the disappointing usfl championship game loss last year

Arl deserved the win, but not the best look for xfl 500 team winning it all. Should of just had one div the first year. Seemed like Arl basically had a home game in the Championship. Good first year, some work needs to be done.
This is GREAT... replacing the fake NFL with real football. They should make it even more entertaining by putting a 4' basketball type goal between the uprights, set vertical, that counts double for field goals:)
If your an Athlete you know #18 sick right now after dropping that last interception 😂 he got the win but that one go keep him in the film room a few extra minutes

The Seattle Sea Dragons, and The DC Defenders were my favorites to win it all. I didn't think that The Arlington Renegades would make it to The Playoffs let alone The XFL Championship.
There is no need to be mean about it. I think both leagues have something unique to offer. I personally like the USFL way more, but that doesn't mean that the XFL is bad, it's just different.
