- How about watching your model railroad through the windshield of a full-sized F-unit cab? This video will amaze you! Nick Muff took about 4 years to do it - from finding the scrapped locomotive to digging out enough space next to his model train layout to completely repainting and re-assembling all the controls, and even built a replica of a full-size passenger dining compartment right next to it. In this presentation he uses both slides and original movie footage to tell the story of how he did it.
This video was recorded during the September 20, 2021, Zoom meeting of the Mount Vernon monthly clinic of the fourth division of the Pacific Northwest Region (www.4DPNR.com) of the National Model Railroading Association (www.nmra.org), chaired by Ted Becker and edited by Burr Stewart.
Great story! Thanks. The Mrs is definitely a "keeper".
Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember reading an article about this in Model Railroader back in the early 90's. It's eerie that I was thinking about this the other day and here it is! Thank you for sharing your journey with this and more so, thanks for taking me back 30 years!
Glad to do it!
