Outside of Las Vegas is a time that has a date farm. My mother-in-law loves to go and my husband remembers going from his childhood. They make a date milkshake while they’re there. You can buy your dates fresh from the trees and you go through the orchard where the trees are as you drive down down into a canyon to the little place that sells fake milkshakes date whatever you want you can even buy the date already chopped up or dates whole fresh from the tree or date already made it to some desserts. A lot of people use them as a sugar substitute .
I have been making this cheese ball for years and it has always been a hit . I do add a little more tang. I use the chopped dates. Yummy. Put a little oil on your hands to make the ball and refrigerating a few minutes also helps . I like to make very small cheese balls and place them on a plate with pretty picks in each one.

I didn’t know Tang was still made. It was advertised when I was a child as being invented for the astronauts as an orange juice replacement.
Great for cleaning dishwashers as well. Just open throw into dishwasher and run a cycle. Clean like new.
