They lock the RPM till the first servicing. I own the same bike. The power really comes out after the second servicing. It's a beast. With the ABS, it's just perfect. Liked the review. 😊
Great review. I wish ktm made small improvements to this formula instead of radical redesign. Just a bit different tank so you don't have to keep your feet at aggressive position to hold it. And softer suspension and seat of new dukes. Thats about it. Will save it weight and cost low as well. I have new d390 and that engine matches the weight quiet well. But d200 will be bogged down quite a bit. God forbid how 160kg duke 125 will feel while riding.
I wish that ktm would remove speed limiters in both the 200.... Because both the 200 cannot go above 135 kmph because of rev limiter at 10500rpm and speed limiter... Like if you are satisfied with my opinion...
This bike has Superb performance comparing to it's conpetitors the FZ 250 and the NS 200 and Apache. Has insane handling and the throttle response and torqe is just insane. I rode it one and the design is very eyecatching!

I wanted to do this full time, but could never make enough out of it to leave my job. I have nothing against smaller bikes, I just cover whatever I can in my limited time. I have quite a few scooter reviews on the channel as well.

Guys please help. I bought duke 200 3 weeks back. I gave my bike to my idiot friend who lugged it in 6th gear at 25kmph speed. But only for a minute. Did it caused any damage to engine?? Plz reply.
The best city bike is for me Yamaha FZ25 n not this.. Yes Duke200 is 2kgs lighter.. but it's 25Ps is produced at a very peaky 10000rpm.. it runs more hot, it's more vibrative, hasn't got the best ergos, not so great pillion seat.. In comparison, the FZ 25 is better in all the above aspects.. most importantly 20Nm@6000rpm in a 250cc is just 😍
I test rode the fz. 25...i have heard about positive opinions in the 250 segment...but i didn't find one good thing in the bike...the power is so linear that u dont feel it at all... exhaust note is gone for a toss... This bike is definitely comfortable but u really feel bored on the highways... In my opinion duke 200 and 250 are the real beasts
Me and my several friends own Duke 390, 200, RC390 etc... we have never faced any serious engine issues. There are a few small nagging issues with Dukes but the main compoments are solid.

Yaa, i understand what you are trying to say but it's rarely possible to touch top speeds and sharing my experience, a RC200 kept pulling ahead of my NS200 from a standstill drag race.

There is no RPM lock on Duke, I own a 390 for last 6 years. Only the shift indicator light comes on earlier, nothing else is different.
