    I just wanted say keep up the great work, you are one of the most current source of information either for the seasoned or new owners like myself to learn for the vw mk1,2,3.

    Pedal assembly was maybe the hardest part for me. I swapped an auto for a man. Had to re-weld 2 times.

    You’re right in that it’s maybe not the most exciting stuff to see but it’s definitely interesting to see for those of us who haven’t done this type of thing and to be able to see all the details of what’s required. Awesome job!

    This was my favorite video, the brake box and ecu info was very informative, I now see how easy it really is, thanks. BTW, I see a 3 wheel kids bike in the background, seems like a conversion is due to make that work for you to scoot around on and make working at low levels easier on you. Thanks for the inspiration to help me with my MKII.

    If you had b3 Passat without abs system you can use pedals shifter box and all to make the conversion easier

    Hello and what an awesome series. I have a question about the wiring I was under the impression that CE2 was a direct plug and play, do you have to just extend the wires or is it Repinning. Thank you again for your videos

    Awesome video man, really helps undestand the process. Where was the engine and gearbox from? and MK3 or and Corrado?

    Why not just change the pedal cluster? 😅 seems crazy to add aftermarket parts when oem parts directly bolt in

  • @rabbitgti652
    @rabbitgti652 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you just used b4 passat vr6 the engine management wiring is separate from the body harness. That is exactly what you want for the Mk2 because that’s how they are wired. Motor separate from the body harness plug and play you are done.

      @Rabbit Gti just wondering would a b3 Passat wiring work? That’s what I’m currently working with. I’ve got a long way to go but getting a piece of mind with the wiring would help tremendously. Thanks!
      Mystery Garage once again great video!

      @@VRstacks it’s ce2 it should as long as the engine management is separate from the body, headlights, blinkers and etc…

    A2resourse is good but Ive found it a little lacking compared to the current flow diagrams in the Bentley manual.

    Which resources did you use to figure out the wiring? I have a Bentley and I am aware of A2 Resource. it just doesn't make a lot of sense when I review them.

    What is the trick to removing the harness plugs from the fusebox? I cant figure it out, I feel like im gonna break the plastic if i pull any harder. plz and ty.

    • @bart_langedijk
      @bart_langedijk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a lock on the fusebox in between the 2 rows of the plugs. It's a big plastic piece the same color as the fusebox itself

    • @json8172
      @json8172 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bart_langedijk is it a locking tab, or something that needs to be pulled up?

    • @MysteryGarage
      @MysteryGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My man @bartlangedijk nailed it… far side of the box between the two rows is a sliding lock, slide it open and plugs will be free to remove, once you done close it up. With the little round tabs on every connectir, it secures them from ever coming loose! Thanks for watching!! Appreciate the support as always!! Cheers
