Think about it logically, the woods often smell like smoke from a fire. And its also common practice to use smoke to hide the scent of humans while hunting. It does not bother them, the only risk is the noise and movement associated with it, if its quiet and you see something dont make noise. Edit, whos gonna make some doe urine vape? 😂
I was smoking in the stand and the wind changed towards a doe and she walked straight to me I wasn’t going to shoot her so I kept smoking and a 8 point walked up on the same path and I smoked him with my bow at 15 yards sat down kept smoking talk about helped with buck fever
If im just casually hunting, i'll smoke a bud. But if i scouted w really good spot. Know the bedding area well and kinda giving the deer the wind, hell nah im not lighting up. No need to tip him off.
I put a ground blind underneath some apple trees on the property I hunt and a group of does comes in regularly. I did an experiment with both smoking and vaping and hunted the wrong wind on purpose. The cigarette smoke would definitely get the does to blow at me but they would take off and come right back. Vaping didn't seem to have any effect on them at all. I also was dropping small objects off my lap onto the ground inside the blind to see if small amounts of noise would spook them. Cells phone, lighter, wallet etc.. had deer under 15 yards from my blind and the small amounts of noise didn't seem to bother the deer. Keep in mind this was a hot food source and the crunching of the deer eating apples was pretty loud compared to the sound of the items I was dropping on purpose. As far as smoking and vaping goes, I'd say they don't like cigarette smoke but tolerate the vape but they were does and fawns not a mature buck so I wouldn't bank on shooting a boomer while puffing strawberry cheesecake lol.

I vape in stand on the ground and the blind , what your saying is so true I truly think it depends on the flavor , I think it 100% attracts deer with right liquid
@gordonneverdies got a half rack buck last year with Jr. it was his first deer and filled the fridge. Last year was a funny year deer weren’t on point like normal years. I’m hoping this year to add more and better videos. I been super busy as assistant cheif in the fire department.

I'd have to agree I think they get very interested in a new smell in the area. So they come in on it. But that's just me.
